Yes but that a bad idea.
System Preferences, Users and Groups, click the Lock Icon and type in your password, click on Login Options, then in Automatic login set it to your user name.
But as I said above that is a very bad idea. Anyone that turn on your computer would then be logged into your account, can read all your files and make changes to lock you out. Also in the duture when you may need to enter a password do do something you may forget what your password is.

Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

BEx allows us to insert Queries into workbooks, but not saved views.
I can open a view in excel & then save it as a workbook....but after that there is no way to add another view to the same excel. If I open a new view, it opens in a new Excel.

when u open some query in BEx analyser,u can save it as a query view as well as workbook.The difference is, workbook is if u work with the design mode which will be in the left side of ur screen and query view is wen u save after drill downing some char or key figures from a intial screen wen u execute query in BEx analyser

Just a random question. Whenever my MacBook Pro starts up (either from sleep or a complete/fresh start, the OS queries the drive slot to see if there is a disc present. While this may be normal behavior, it seems to slow down the start up process. (I rarely ever have a disc in the drive). Just curious if this, in fact, normal, or if there's something awry.

Is there a way to auto deploy executable update?

I am in a position where I develope database systems. I control everything with LabVIEW executables, and I am constantly deploying updates. What I do is to load my flash drive with the latest and greatest and run around to 50 or so computers updating the different systems. About half of the computers have the user as an administrator, and the other half I am able to log on as an administrator to install the updates. This is a time consuming and interuptive process. Is there a way to force updates to the variious computers whether the user has an administrator account or not? I don't want the programs to be stored in an accessible location, because the security of the system depends on only certain people having certain programs. There are roughly 25 programs that make up the systems. Thank you for any suggestions that will make the deployment of updates less painful.

Our IT guy did something like this for one of the main VB programs we use in engineering. However, you could do it by eliminating a step.
Let the exectuable that the user launches be the updating program. If it detects a new executable is available, it copies that to the user's hard drive then launches that. If a new exectuable is not present, then it just launches the executable already present. I believe he just uses a comparison of the executable file dates.
This will essentially eliminate step 2 where the main VI needs to shut itself down and call an updater, because the main VI executable that you want to update hasn't actually launched yet.

Hy, I'm thinking of purchasing iTunes Match to make it a bit easier to share our different libraries. I have read the issues about about multiple apple ID's etc. My main issue however is that I take great care to have an organised Library with correct metadata (names, album art, etc). My family however does not and apart from when I want to download a certain song from them I really don't want to have their whole "messed up" library to show up. Is there a way to do that? I'm okay with activating and deactivating it but I've also read that some people had some problems with that and had to wait 90 days before they could reactivate the account.
So to recapitulate what would you suggest to share music without having other peoples library's messing mine up?
P.S. I use Homesharing when I can but I'm a student so I'm not always home and my father works abroad and it would be nice to have all time access to everybody's music.

iTunes Match is associated with one Apple ID and regional iTunes Store. There is no sharing of the service across Apple IDs. So if you purchase the service for one Apple ID everyone who wants to use it must then use that Apple ID.
As to your question about ID3 tags, iTunes Match does not "clean up" ID3 tags. The tags in the library are untouched.
