  • HT4928 what if i wanted to delete one of my purchases not just hide it?

what if i wanted to delete one of my purchases not just hide it can i do that?

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
No, Apple will always maintain the fact that you bought the app in your purchase history. You can't not have bought it.

  • I used to have a IPhone3 about three years ago, unfortunately i do not have it anymore. My question is is there a way to obtain deleted text messages from my phone number from a short period of time before i got rid of my phone?

About three years ago in 1012 I had an iphone3 sent and deleted text messages of course and as of now those text messages are needed for an upcoming court case i will be involved with. So is there any way to retrieve those text messages from three years ago. I am just in need of the text messages from February 2012 on. So its about 6 to 10 months of texts. what do I have to do to get them back if possible???

As the others noted, if you don't have any older iTunes backups then the deleted messages would not be recoverable. The free trial of Decipher TextMessage will show you if there are any text messages in your older backups that can be recovered.

  • Is there any way whatsoever to delete photos synced from iTunes?

This is something that constently frustrates me and I've never found a solution for it. I can delete music, videos, apps, etc etc etc from the phone to reclaim storage space, but is there no way in **** to delete photos synced through iTunes? It's bothered me before in the past, so I stopped syncing albums to my phone, but recently I had synced my albums of photos from my wedding to my iPhone so that I could show some family and didn't realize how much space it was going to take up. The entire weekend I could not remove them to download apps, music, videos or anything.
Is there any way at all to remove them? Via iFunbox,  or some sort of "reset" option in Settings, or any other means?

What you ask is pretty basic. Uncheck the Sync Photos from option in iTunes and click Apply
Assuming your device is not modified/hacked/jailbroken in any way/shape/form

  • Is there any way to retrieve deleted texts messages from KIN TWO M?

is there any way to retrieve deleted texts messages on KIN TWO M?

Unfortunately, no, not unless you had them backed up somewhere (like with bitpim software).  Once the texts are deleted from the phone, they're gone.

  • Is there a way to permanently delete unwanted music from everything?

I am trying to segregate out music that tagged along for the ride when I first opened an iTunes account years ago that belongs to someone I am no longer with. Is there a way to do this even in the cloud, so that it won't show up on any of my devices?

Most items purchsed with your Apple ID can't be permantently deleted from the purchase history. However you can hide them.

  • Is there a way to use iTunes (or any other mac apps or functions) to remove RIFF data chunk info written by other applications?

    Hello,
I am a DJ and I currently use iTunes to manage and organize all of my songs which are in .wav format. After I have everything organized the way I want, I import the songs into my DJ software called Traktor. Traktor can then read all of the xml tags that I set for the .wav file in iTunes, like artist, genre, etc.
I found that when I play songs in Traktor, the software will write some meta-data tags in the RIFF chunk of the .wav file. (Example: song title, music genre, artist name, comment, etc). I can see this meta data info when I show info on the .wav file (see screenshot below)
The problem comes when I try to update some of the info in iTunes, then re-import the song in Traktor. Traktor will not over-write the meta-data info into the .wav file. I'm probably making a big assumption, but I'm hoping that if I can somehow remove all of the previously written info, then re-import the song into Traktor, it should be able to write the info.
Does anybody know if there is an iTune script that can remove this meta-data information? In other words, I'm looking to revert the .wav file to a "clean" state where there is no extra RIFF meta data stored in the file. If not in iTunes, are there any other OS script commands or tools I might be able to use?

And some more info I just found...
I found a web article that confirms that it is possible to clean ("sanitize" or "scrub") the files manually on Mac. It even provides a link that (I am assuming) details how to do it.
Unfortunately, the link doesn't work for me. Does the link work for anybody else?
    Here's the article: http://lawyerist.com/remove-metadata-with-batch-software/
Scroll down to the 3rd section "How to remove metadata?" to see the link that I'm referring to.

  • Is there a way to download Logic Pro 9 from the app store, as I have already purchased the Logic Studio CDs?

    Hello!
I purchased the Logic Studio CD set in a retail store two years ago or so, and I was wondering if there was a way to have the app store recognize this purchase so all I need to do is download Logic Pro 9 from the app store when I get my new iMac (without a disc drive) this month?
    Thanks much,
    Elliott

    Hi
Short answer: No. You cannot convert "DVD" licences to Appstore ones.
    I'd suggest that you:
Make Disk Images of the DVD's on your current Mac, and use those for future installs
Make use of the "Remote Install"/DVD drive sharing feature
    Buy and External DVD drive

  • Is there somewhere I can access Elements 9 Editor from Mac App Store?

I need a copy of Elements 9 Editor from the Mac App Store to do some product testing. I know it is discontinued old version however it must be possible to access it somewhere/somehow? I am happy to purchase if I can find it!!
    Thanks

I am not aware of anywhere that you can still purchase Elements 9. It's too old.
You can download a trial version from
    http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-9-premiere-elements-9-direct-download-links.h tml
However you'll only be able to use it for 30 days since you do not have a serial number and there's no way of buying one that I know of.

  • Deleting photostream photos from Mac within iPhoto does not remove photos from all devices.

I have photostream activated on my iPhone 5s (iOS 8.1) to backup all my photos to iCloud. This works great! When I open iPhoto, the stream is automatically updated and my photos appear. If I also delete a photo from my iPhone, the stream is once again updated and the photo disappears.
However, if I delete the photo via iPhoto via the Photostream tab on my Mac, the photostream is not updated and the photo remains on my iPhone, as well as online via icloud.com. i.e it works one way, but not the other.
    Am I doing something wrong?

However, if I delete the photo via iPhoto via the Photostream tab on my Mac, the photostream is not updated and the photo remains on my iPhone, as well as online via icloud.com. i.e it works one way, but not the other.
When you delete a photo from "My Photo Stream" in the iCloud section in iPhoto on your Mac, it will be removed from "My Photo Stream" in iCloud, and should be removed from the Photo Stream on all devices. However, the photos already downloaded to the devices from My Photo Stream will not be deleted. If automatic download is enabled on your iPhone, the photos will stay on your iPhone,

  • Is there any way to retrieve deleted texts messages from the IPhone 5C?

I accidentally deleted the wrong texts, and was wondering if there was a way Verizon, or the IPhone could recover the deleted messages...

Unfortunately, no, not unless you had them backed up somewhere (like with bitpim software).  Once the texts are deleted from the phone, they're gone.

  • Is there a way to recover deleted video files from the finder folder

I recently and mistakenly deleted video files that were in my Finder folder, don't know why they were in there but that's another question, in doing this it also deleted them from IMovie and I have lost them unless someone out there know's different,
    Colin

If you haven't emptied your trash, they should be there.
If not, they should be in your last Time Machine backup. (Or other backup.)
