Is there a way to replay cool intro movie?

Greetings,
Is there a way to replay cool the intro movie you see when you first startup a new Mac?
Thanks

Hi Chuck
Yes, but it's a bit squirrelled away in the system. Open Finder, and go to System/Library/CoreServices. Locate "SetupAssistant". Right-click on it, choose "Show Package Contents". You'll get a new Finder window. Navigate to Contents/Resources/TransitionSection.bundle. Again right-click (or ctrl-click) and choose "Show Package Contents". Browse to Contents/Resources, and you'll see two media files:
intro.mov (video)
intro-sound.mp3 (audio - Honeycut's "Exodus Honey")
If you want to recreate the full movie, you can use iMovie or Quicktime Pro to recombine the two.

iCab indeed does allow for that

  • Is there a way of transferring data (music, movies etc) from an external hard drive directly to an iPad Mini?

    Hi Guys,
Is there a way of transferring data (music, movies etc) from an external harddrive directly to an iPad Mini?
The reason I ask, is I'm going travelling and don't want to take my macbook with me - but I have a lot of music, movies etc that I want to take.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks, Fintan

    Thanks all.
I've just come across Hyper Drive Cloud FTP - which allows you to connect any external harddrive or USB stick via WiFi.
Looks like a pretty good option.
I've also read that you can use GoodReader app to download files from harddrive to iPad.
Good review on Wired - http://www.wired.com/reviews/2012/07/cloudftp/

No. You can only purchase and redeem a gift in its country of origin.

  • Is there a way to fast forward the movie clip, so it shows as fast forward.

Is there a way to fast forward the movie clip, so it shows as fast forward in the final clip, please help. (iMovie 08')

In iMovie 08 - the answer is no. It does not have the video fx that were in iMovie 06. You can get iMovie 06 as a free download, if you already have iLife '08. Then you have access to a much better programme for doing the editing tasks you want.

    Zion,
This worked! ...about 50%, but I suppose that's better than nothing.  I went into iTunes on my old username and downloaded the 300+ songs to my library but then for some reason when I went to transfer them to my iPhone it would only transfer like 120 or so of them.  I'm not really sure why but I'll continue to work on it.  Thanks so much for the help.
FYI - if anyone else reads this bc they have the same problem.  If you choose to go this route and download previous purchases from your old account you cannot auto download any content on your new(er) apple ID for 90 days after the purchase download.  Just something to keep in mind, but for me, it was totally worth it.  I have no qualms about manually transferring the songs to my iPhone for the next 3 months if it meant getting the rights to transfer all my old songs to my iPhone.
    Thanks again!

  • Is there a way to re-download a movie that I was gifted?

My friend got me to download iTunes so he could gift me a movie.
When it was downloading, my computer shut down and I had to reboot to continue the download.
I feel like it's because of this that the video & audio aren't synced and it's getting really annoying.
Is there a way to re-download the movie?

Why not? Did you try to redownload it? Did you follow the instructions above?
I didn't purchase it, I was gifted it.
Doesn't matter. It will show up under your purchased items.
It doesn't differentiate who bought them. Any itmes from the iTunes store that are part of your iTunes account, will show up under Purchased items, whether you paid, they were gifted or they were free.

If they are available to you then you should find them at iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Movies > Not on this computer.

  • When I mark a mail in the junk folder as 'not junk', is there a way to have it automatically move to the inbox?

Apple Mail keeps putting good messages into the Junk folder. I mark them as 'not junk', but then they just sit there. It is really tedious to have to move them back to the inbox, and change the colour back to black. Is there any way to do this automatically?
I originally placed this question on the Snow Leopard group, but since then I have updated to Lion. I was hoping that Lion would have provided a solution, but it seems not. In the Snow Leopard group, somebody posted a script which apparently works in Snow Leopard, but I have no idea if it works in Lion, as there doesn't seem to be any way to load scripts.
    This is the script, anyway.
It was given to me by <Bernard Hills> but I don't know who wrote it.

OK, I've discovered how to access the library.
    It's here: http://techheavy.com/2011/07/access-the-user-library-folder-in-lion/
But I don't really want to try that script in case it screws something up. I know zero about scripting.

Shouldn't it be learning: it just keeps putting the same good messages into junk.

Which version of Mail are u using and which Os ?
On this side Mail 4.5 ans SL 10.6.8, I do have the possibility to transfer from the JunkBox to the in box for exemple and even change the color of the text... Sorry , in French.
Edit, just saw that yre on 10.6.8 from your firt post...

  • Is there a way to convert DVD-VR movie into DVD-video to import in IMovie?

My husband shot 6 hours of video on a Sony DCR-DVD106E Handycam abroad, and had that burned on a dvd.
Unfortunely he shot this material with the camera in DVD-VR mode, and and now it's impossible to import and edit in IMovie. ☹ I discovered already that the camera should have been in Video-mode.
We do really need parts of the video for our work...........
Is there a way to convert the dvd so that it can be imported one way or another?

.. no, he.. ooh, it's me! .. can not.
that advice is for 'standard' videoDVD (=VIDEO_TS, vobs ifos, bups, walla walla...)
    dvd_VR is a special format of dvd-corders..
I'm afraid, you have to take the long road via some converter box (Canopus, EyeTV, ...)

  • Is there a way to make Apple TV move to the next video in a Vimeo playlist automatically?

Is there any way to make Apple TV play multiple Vimeo videos automatically, one after the next?
For any of you who have used a Google TV device, you know that this is the default behavior for internet videos (Vimeo included, obviously) there. It's the only thing that I miss after boxing that thing up to use my Apple TV full-time.
If there's not a way to do this, is there any hope of suggesting this behavior (and if so, who would I suggest that behavior to, Vimeo or Apple?)?
    Thanks in advance.

It's a bug that has presented itself again after the update. I would provide feedback and a bug report
