Is there a way to retrieve a CosObj based on a reference to it?
My app performs massive removal of interactive fields (Widgets). I first locate them/it in the "AcroForm" tree and after removing it, I have to locate it again under the "Pages" tree for a subsequent full removal.
Is there a way to save the actual CosObj pointed to by a reference (if I understand references correctly, they are like a symlink), thus avoiding a 2nd, search?
TIA,
-Ramon
No, you need to unlink the object from any place in the tree you wish it
removed from.

My daughter's friend accidentally deleted a video off of my daughter's IPod touch. Is there a way to retrieve it somehow? I can't find a trash in or anything similar. She is not connected to ICloud.

When I run the Dr. Fone software it shows they are still on my iPad 2 but it costs 60-70 dollars. Is there another way to retrieve them? They were not backed up on Itunes like I thought they were. Please help!!
Recover software as you have described is pretty much your only option - keep in mind that if wait, some of the currently recoverable data may well be over-written and lost.

I accidently deleted a voice mail message. Is there any way to retrieve it? I was told I had to reset my password since I entered the wrong one three times.
Depends on your carrier. You'll have to contact your carrier for how to do this. (This is for AT&T: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=52649#fbid=WLddP4KyTAu.)

Is there a way to retrieve notes from notepad if the phone powered off lost charge) before I hit the done button?
If the phone doesn't power on and isn't seen by the computer then you wouldn't be able to pull data off it with the USB connection to your computer.
You could pursue data recovery if the notes are very valuable, but the cost can be similar to having data recovered from a failed computer drive(possibly prohibitively expensive). -
Is there a way to retrieve earlier info from the exchange buffer?
Hi,
Yesterday, I edited a paragraph text in Word, copied it and put it in a box on a home page. Then I quit the computer (MacMook Air). This morning, I couldn't access the home page, so I thought I would look in the exchange buffer, but it was empty. As it should, I suppose.
My question is this, is there a way to retrieve the paragraph that I copied yesterday?
Thanks for any help!
Best regards,Oh, BTW - I didn't make a Time Machine copy yesterday, so such solutions won't work. Maybe a lesson for me.

Wiith all the previous upgrades that I have I never lost any photos and videos taken from the ipad itself. Now I upgraded to the new IOS 8 and all my photos and videos are all gone. Is there a way to retrieve the lost photos and videos?
Did you have I cloud that automatically back up you data to iCloud backup happens when you charge your iPad Have a look in Settings iCloud backup If you do then all your photos will be safe When you have iCloud if you buy a new iPhone / iPad And you use the same Apple ID all your Apps & photos will download to your new Device Cheers Brian

Lost all my passwords in mozilla, is there a way to retrieve them?
While looking in my security window folder of passwords I somehow inadvertent did something to lose all my stored passwords -- is there a way to retrieve them
First of all backup your profile, just in case the information really is in there and in case you make mistakes, at least then things should not get worse than they are already.
Especially if this happened very recently then and it is worth trying using Windows OS and the option to retrieve previous files after right clicking them. The files are in the Firefox profile, and the easiest method of finding that is to navigate to the troubleshooting information page by keying in to the location bar ''about:support'' and using the open folder option on that page. Make sure you close firefox before messing with the profile and it is worth backing up files before and after you attempt to recover them.

The files you need are the pair '''''key3.db ''''' & '''''signons.sqlite''''' copying the recovered files into the profile to overwrite the current file, or just recovering them in their correct location should restore the passwords.
Note there are methods of backing up passwords, and the new sync will also backup passwords, but not at the moment if you use a master password.

I formerly had an iPhone 3 with my iTunes account/music on it. I've recently purchased an iPhone 5s. I no longer have the iPhone 3. Is there any way to retrieve music from my account and put on my iPhone 5s?
Yes. Sign in to the iTunes Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy the music in settings on the phone.
Then tap on "purchased" in the iTunes app on the phone and download the music to your new iPhone. -
i live in a home with two other people, and one housemate tried to sync up his content from iTunes and iCloud onto another housemate's new iPad. the iTunes library only contains my content. is there any way to retrieve the other person's iCloud? Can they go out of my account? Their content is saved on their iPads, but can another iCloud be on the same home computer?
The syncing of music is one way, computer to phone. See this helpful document from a fellow user. Credit goes to the author.
