Lets start with your definition of a Group. Thunderbird does not have groups. It has Address Books and Mailing Lists. Was this an address book or a mailing list that you created in one of your address books?
If you deleted an address book I do not know of any way to recover it.
If you deleted a mailing list from your address book all you did is delete the list. All the contacts that were on that list will still be in the address book. Just recreate the mailing list.

I am currently running Time Machine back up, which works fine. However for stupid reason the other day i managed to delete all my draft emails, which i kind of use as a note pad for things that i am working on.
Is there a way of getting all these mail items back.
I have looked for where this "mail folder" should be kept in the time capsual but it doesn't exist or i cant get draft mails.
Any help - as i have lost some really important things - like a full notation on the amazing milestones in my baby daughters life.

strangely i have gone and unanswered my own question, it was simple and brilliant too.
All you do is open drafts in your current state, and then open time machine, take yourself back to the time required, and all the draft items are there.
Then press restore. Just amazing how Time capsual works.

Photo stream photos are only kept in iCloud for 30 days, even though a rolling collection of up to 1000 photo remain on your device until deleted. Whey you reconnected to your photo stream you only got back the photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
You can keep photo stream photos permanently by saving them to your camera roll.

I remembered just recently that I had sent an email to someone using my @carrier.blackberry.com address.
I don't ever remember seeing this email in my sent folder. However, quite some time has passed and I now want to know if it is possible to retrieve this email.
I am under the impression that email must be stored somewhere for quite some time, perhaps for audit purposes, however, will I be able to retrieve that specific email.
I can narrow it down to my sent folder, month, day, and even year. possibly even time.
would someone please let me know if this would be at all possible. and who I would/should contact.

There is no way to retrieve those emails that I know of. They are not held on any server, can't be checked remotely, and quite honestly, I remind users almost weekly around these forums to get rid of those email accounts and get a free gmail or yahoo account.

The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. Recover software as you have described is pretty much your only option - keep in mind that if wait, some of the currently recoverable data may well be over-written and lost.

If the phone doesn't power on and isn't seen by the computer then you wouldn't be able to pull data off it with the USB connection to your computer.
You could pursue data recovery if the notes are very valuable, but the cost can be similar to having data recovered from a failed computer drive(possibly prohibitively expensive).
