Is there a way to "reverse snyc"?
My son was messing around with my computer and moved my itunes library to make space on one of my hard drives, not only did it get rid of the original folder saying that it was too big for the recycle bin, but now itunes is missing all sorts of stuff that is on my ipod, can I reverse sync to fix it?
You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of these here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

The transfer of purchased content to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7, look under under File>"Transfer Purchases from iPod". A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

Hi I bought too many books at once through amazon for my iPad kindle. Havent read any of them and Two I haven't actually gone in to, they have a banner across front which says 'new'is there a way of reversing the transaction either with amazon kindle or the iPad kindle application so I cane my money back?
You should ask Amazon about their returns policy or check the Amazon website. As that's who you bought them from they would be the best people to answer.

I had photos from MobileMe organized into different events. When iPhoto made a MobileMe event (when MobileMe ended), it took all of those photos out of the other events and put them all together in the new "from MobileMe" event. Is there any way to reverse this?
Only to load your backup from before downloading the MM photos

Is there any way to reverse the "swipe to switch between fullscreen apps" controls?
I feel like the "swipe left to go to the app to the left" is actually counter-intuitive, especially when they were thinking about a touchscreen when designing this OS. The scrolling, though most people aren't used to it on a computer, makes sense because you move the page in the direction as if you were moving a physical page. The switching between fullscreen apps is the opposite and isn't natural for me, especially since I have been using an iPhone and iPad for a couple years now. Is there any way of reversing this control? If not, I think they should do the same thing that they did with the "natural" scrolling and have a checkbox to give you the option of either way.
I didn't see anything in the trackpad preferences as far as direction of the swipe. If anyone else can find it, I would love to be able to reverse it.

I backed up my iphone 4 before updating to my iphone 5 and it restored to default settings. As a result, I have lost all my photos. Is there any way to reverse the back up as I have a 2 month old baby and desperatly want to retrieve my photos :-(
Pictures are designed to be copied off the device regularly as would be done with any digital camera. There is no logical reason why anyone would fail to do this with supposedly important pictures.
If a recent backup exists, it is also possible to restore the device from the most recent backup, this may restore pictures to the device. If it does, COPY THEM OFF THE DEVICE IMMEDIATELY for safekeeping. -
If I use a sound clip in the multi-track editor multiple times; is there a way to reverse the clip without change all the instances where the clip was used in the same multi-track session?
I'm having to copy the clip rename it as clipreverses.wav then bring it back into audition to use it.
Sony Vagas you can flip the same clip on a different track with a right click and not affect any other copies of that clip. Not that I'm aware of, no. You can easily make a unique copy of a clip (right-click on it, and you get it already saved for you), and I'd say that having this was more flexible in one way, at least, as you could then time-stretch it if you wanted to, without altering all other instances of it. Not saying that there wouldn't be any point in having a reverse-play option - I can see instances where it might be useful. It's just that it's not exactly difficult to achieve this anyway, which is probably why I don't ever recall a request for it!

iHave an old iMac that i tried to put a new version of iTunes onto and now i can't use iTunes. Is there a way to reverse that. I tried to update quicktime and it won't let me
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

Is there a way to reverse delete?
I don't know how but I deleted all my music and books.
Is there a way to reverse it?And if they are not still in your iTunes folder, then likely they are all in the trashcan and you should be able to fish them out of there and drop them back into iTunes.

Is there any way to REVERSE a 'Restore' action on the iPhone 5?
Is there any way to reverse a restore action on the iPhone5?
I just got my iPhone and connected it to my itunes for the first time and it asked me to register my phone as new or restore from last iphone. I did not realize that this action would delete all of the pictures I took this weekend of my son. Please help! These pics are priceless.No. You can not "reverse" a restore. If you didn't have the photos backed up, or uploaded to PhotoStream, they're gone.

Hey folks, I just connected my iphone4 to my macbook for the first time and it restord it to the previosu settings from my old iphone? Is there a way to reverse this??!!!
If you want it to go back to essentially Out of Box Factory Settings then you will want to just select the 'Restore' option from the Summary Screen within iTunes. You will be prompted to Restore from Backup or Restore as New, in this case you will want to restore as new.
If you have previous settings you will need to see if they were backed up correctly before syncing, you can check this in Preferences -> Devices -> Backups and look at the list of backups to see if one coincides with your iPhone 4. If not, then there will be no settings to restore to other than the previously connected iPhone or back to Factory settings. -
I recently updated to OS X mountain Lion and activated ICloud, my bookmarks have automatically been changed to those of my iPad, is there any way to reverse this?
First, you need to go to System Preferences -> iCloud and uncheck the Safari item to prevent syncing bookmarks (among other things) between Safari on your Mac and Safari on your iPad.
Then you need to restore your bookmarks file from a backup. To find the bookmarks file, go to your user Library folder (which is now invisible, so hold down the option key and choose Library from the Finder's Go menu), then look in the Safari folder that's in there. There should be a file called Bookmarks.plist. Replace it with an older version from a backup. -
I have accidentally retored my phone back to factory settings and lost my contact list, photos and all. I have retrieved my apps via itunes but is there any way to reverse this so I can get my photos and contact list back?
Some accident with all the steps and warning messages provided.
All contacts on your iPhone should be available on your computer. Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for such important data. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
Contacts and photos/videos in the Camera Roll should be included with your iPhone's backup which should have been created or updated by iTunes as the first step during the restore process - unless you declined the option.
If you declined the option, the data is gone. If not, restore your iPhone again from the backup that was created or updated before the previous restore. -
I have an older PC with three i-tunes libraries on it that go with three different i-tunes accounts. The PC won't boot up and needs to be re-installed. Will I lose the three libraries? Is there a way to reverse sync the libraries from the i-pods after?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Just use your backup to put everything back. This is one of the many reason that backup are very basic.
