Is there a way to rollback or undo the actions committed by remediation?

For example, we create a configuration item to check if anti-virus service is present and running on our application servers, and if it is not, to remediate the condition by starting the service. We deploy this CI in a baseline to a collection and
several servers are found to be non-compliant. The deployment remediates the condition by starting the AV service which subsequently causes the servers to blue screen. Questions:
How do we rollback or undo the remediation? Do we remove the CI from the Evaluation Conditions in the baseline? or change revision?
What is the affect of this - are settings on the servers returned to their previous state?

You can't rollback or undo the remediation. You can remove the Remediate noncompliant rules when supported
checkbox in the deployment, but that won't undo previous remediation's. It will only prevent future remediation's.
See point 1, it won't return the server to the previous state. To do that you need to create a custom script, or a configuration item that does exactly the opposite.

Hi there,
We are currently undergoing a massive change in assets depreciation rate with amortization date starting from 01-jan-13. To achieve this we decided to use MassTransactions -> Changes in Oracle Fixed Assets.
There is a preview available, which shows the results on the assets that are affected as well as the changes that we have decided to make. On the other hand, the preview does not consider the accounting results of the change so there is no way to see how the depreciation is affected.
However, someone could see the results using the what-if analysis, but in that case there is no option to use the amortization date in order to see the changes that the adjustment will create.
The only way we could really see the final results is to perform the mass change and then do a test depreciation and see the results. But in case where something is not acceptable by us, is there ANY way to rollback/undo the mass changes we did in the specific period?
If there is no way to do this from the UI, is there any other from the db? ( I know that messing with assets is like playing with fire )

I'm trying to find out whether there is a way to use workflow to replace some repeititve actions done by users on various Oracle forms.
For example in our company, setting up parties consists of several repetitive actions. users navigate to form Party Profiles (path: "Setup -> System -> Party Profiles"), enter the party ID, save it, navigate to another form Remit/Inquiry Parties (Path: "Setup ->System -> Remit/Inquiry Parties"), fill in IDs for Processing Party,
External Party, and Remit To Party" and click save.
The users follow the same steps to use various forms in Oracle and fill in repeitivie, predictable values. So I'm wondering whether there is a way to create a workflow to replace these actions. The workflow will need to accept attributes like ids and when the workflow is initiated, it will go through the steps usually done by end users and complete the setup.
Any information will be appeciated. Thanks.

If you catch it right away - and I mean right away - there is an Undo bottom on the keyboard. If you tap the ?123 button in the lower left corner, that will bring up the Undo button. Try that next time.
That has worked for me from time to time. And yes, shaking the iPad will bring up an Undo Typing box as well.

Maybe I'm fool, but how I get the "day view"? I have three options on the top line, an icon that seems a computer (a square and two lines), a magnifying glass to search a especific item and a "plus" to add appointments. The "day view" isn't any more there - that's the point!!! Using the first icon a get the full month-that uses 2/3 of the screen- and two lines of appointments...To see the rest I have to slide up and down the two lines taking care to not touch the month...

The paths won't agree on the two OSs so a simple XML import isn't likely to work.
See Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers and, if needed, Make a split library portable. The techniques in the first link will work when moving the library between Windows and OS X as long as the library is "portable", but iTunes takes quite some time checking the database when the library is opened under a different OS.

make sure you volume is not all the way down
make sure audio play out of the ipad when not connected to the hdmi adapter
if you did and it don't work then it's likely an issue with the connetor

I'd like to digitize audio from a minidisc player into my 15-inch (late 2013) Macbook Pro with retina display, but can't see a way to change the internal mic input. I understand that previous MacBooks allowed the headphone jack to double as a mic input, but mine doesn't seem capable of switching. I've tried using a mini to mini cable, with no luck, and also tried using a headset splitter adapter (3.5 mm 4-pin to 2x3-pin 3.5 mm headset splitter adapter from Amazon) because I read that that would allow me to plug in headphones and input audio. But in both cases, the only "input" available in my sound preferences is the built-in internal microphone. Am I missing something? Is there a way to digitize audio through the headphone jack?

Not likely. headphone jacks are usually output only devices unless specifically stated to support input, and even then, it may not be audio input that they support, but merely control input for volume and such.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your iPod for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

I tried to put them in using the "Home calendar" blue, and them change them to purple (Work Calendar) after I had paid them. The problem is that once I changed a bill from blue to purple it changed all upcoming bills for future months to purple also.

You might want to try Reminders.
Creat a Bill Pay list, add all your bills set a reminder to repeat every month and when you pay one just check them off as complete

Not other than parental oversight. On the computer you can implement Parental Controls on a separate user account that they would use. You can then block certain websites. But you cannot do that on the iPad.
You could change your iTunes account such that they cannot access it in order to buy or download apps.
