Is there a way to rotate screen shot pictures on the Mac book?

You can rotate a screen shot, by opening it, (Preview is the default) un the menu bar Tools click rotate.
If you mean convert if from landscape to portrait, none that I know of.

What version of the Mac OS X are you running. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and post the version.

Why my screen is keeping black screen when i leave the mac book with few hr

when i leave the mac book pro on a few hours, it kept black screen. i try to press any key and open button, it kept no response. after 3 mins, i press open button again. the mac book appear off. so i press the open button again , it open.

In actual fact this seems a bigger problem than I thought. Linking the two computers via the Thundernolt cable and selecting cmd F2 no longer shares the screen at all and Apple say it may not be able too in Mointain Lion - What are they playing at, hundreds of customers link computers together and share the screens - Lets hope they are wrong and tell us what we need to do other than move back to Windows.

Is there a way to rotate images in iPhoto on the ipad

I take photos with the iPhone or iPad and unless I sync them back to the Mac, there does not seem to be a way to rotate images. This makes having a nice slideshow (for the unlock screen) a problem as a bunch of images are all sideways. I'd like to be able to do simple edits like this in the device and not have to sync back and forth.

You can't in the Photos app itself, though there are third-party apps that allow you e.g. PS Express (though the saved rotated version of the photo will be put in the Saved Photos album).

Is there any way to track a stolen laptop using the mac address, or by triangulating the wifi, or even by checking to see if the macbooks serial number has been registered online anywhere?

A little info on my question,
I had it stoeln on June 22nd 2013. I had recently bought it so had not installed any software on it nor did I have registered with icloud. I had contacted police, registered it stolen with Apple (but then just discovered this week that apple do not have a database for stolen products, which makes no sense at all).
I have contacted all the major pawn shops and computer stores in town etc etc. I have recently discovered that each laptop has a unique MAC address whcih begs the question, is that traceable somehow? I have been made aware that the router strips the mac address before it connects it to the internet but does the isp log the laptops MAC address? If i contacted all the major isp in my country would they have the ability to search for the mac address of my latop and then link that with an ip address?
Any help would be great please!

Well, I hadn't heard of that before. If it's true, then what you say should also be true but the Mac would have to publish its hardware serial number over the Internet and I haven't heard of that either. The only Apple tech that is supposed to constantly track you is iCloud.
You said you assumed the database would limit use online but if that's only an assumption, you need to ask Apple what exactly the stolen database does. It is possible that the serial number might only get flagged if it comes into an Apple Store for service, if it ever does. You need to clarify this with Apple.

Is there a way to create a loopback adapter for the mac?

In the MS world, there is a MS Loopback adapter, that allows to create a virtual network card and simulates that there is a LAN cable connected to it.
I would like to see if there is a way to do that in the mac world.
I found this link and I believe is a hint, but I'm not sure if is going to work, I don't want to try it and damage my network settings.

Is there a way to reset my administrator password without the Mac OS X media?

Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu. Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

Is there a way to rotate mail 180 degs so the antenna will be in the clear when typing?

Once you understand the iPhone 4's antennas - you can make things work better, maybe even better than any onther phone. However when in low cellular data signal areas and using e-mail or browser app, you normally have the cellular antenna in the palm of your hand cause a drop in signal while typing. If the phone would rotate the mail app 180 degs - then you could hold the phone upside down - allowing the antenna to be (on top) in the clear as you use the mail app. My question is - is the a way or app that would allow you to do this?

I am looking for the same thing for a different reason. I would like to be able to type with the iPhone upsidedown. That way the microphone would be pointed towards the speaker I am taking notes from and I could record at maximum level while typing. Is there a typing app that will work upsidedown? I'm not talking about rotating text, I mean the whole app. Or how about a change in the iOS that would just allow 180 rotation of any app? Is there a place to suggest this to Apple? It depends upon what you want to achieve. In the iBooks app you can have the books shown as a list : there should be 2 icons at the top right of the bookshelf next to the Edit button, with the right-hand one displaying the books as a list, and with that selected you should then get options along the bottom of the screen for how to sort the books, including by category. With the second icon the books are shown across the screen, and you can press and hold a book and then after a second or so it should seem to move out of the shelf and you can drag it to a different position on the bookshelf. You can also use 'collections' (button top left of the bookshelf) to create/select book collections, and you can move books to a different collection via the Edit button top right.
With the Kindle app you can sort books by date (which I think is purchase date), title or author, the app doesn't appear to support collections.

My client is converting brochures to flashpaper and has no
way to rotate the image from her application. She prints to
flashpaper and the result is a portrait mode that really needs to
be on the web page in landscape format (rotated 90 degrees

When you print from Word/Acrobat/whatever just change setting
to landscape instead of portrait.
Other wise you'd have to rotate it in Flash I guess but

I do not think that there is any way to make an array control or indicator display that way.
You might be able to reverse the array, creating an upside down display. If you also need the user to index it, then it gets trickier. Hide the array index display. Create another numeric control to look like the index control. When the value of the new control is changed, subtract the value from the last index of the array and use the difference to index the array. You may need to adjust by +/-1, so try it to be sure.
