Not quite sure what's the advantage of a team account - just seems like a bulk purchase of single accounts. As a team working in the cloud I'd expect to be able to collaborate on projects not a single file.

Folder sharing is not currently available.
The advantage of a Team account is not bulk purchase but being able to assign and remove Seats as needed by an Administrator who handles billing. With an Individual subscription the payment information is attached to each the individual.

I want to free up disk space on my Mac and assumed that the icloud would be a good way to do this, but having 'moved' 70Gb of files to the iCloud drive (I've upgraded to 200Gb storage) my Mac is still nearly full and I've realised that it seems to just Sync files just like dropbox.

So, the big question is did the Apple guys confirm that this is how the new iCloud drive should be working? I'm guessing, from your response, that this is indeed the case. Are they going to fix this anytime soon? I thought that this was a new function of the iCloud drive in Yosemite.
I just want an online storage facility to back up my photo & music collections. I did look at Dropbox as they have a good deal going with their Dropbox Pro, however this is still just a sync service where the Master files reside on your local disk drive - although I have read that there may be a way to work around this. Still not ideal.

no, you can't store games in icloud. But you can delete them from the ipad and later get them back from the itunes store without paying for it.

Is there a way to view video via the display AND TV out at the same time?

Is there a way to display the video output for supported apps on the display as well as through the TV out at the same time? To explain my setup briefly, I'd like to have the front seat passenger in my vehicle be able to hold the iPad and watch video while the A/V cable runs through the car system and displays on the ceiling mounted TV for the back passengers.
As of right now, it seems as though it will only allow for one display at a time, and in this case, only showing video through the TV out. I don't know if the iPad has the processing power to mirror outputs to the display and the TV out at the same time, though I imagine that it should.
So, does anyone have any ideas on how to make this possible, if it's possible at all?

Is there a way to lock tables in the iCloud version of Numbers?

I'm trying to share a spreadsheet that others can sort, but not edit any of the values. I can accomplish this on the desktop version by locking the table, but when I share it to iCloud the table is no longer locked and I don't see an option to lock under "Arrange." Any ideas or do I just have to wait for an update? Thanks!

iTunes App and Music sharing has been great.
Everyone in my house has thier own Mobileme account and iTunes account, with their own prefered music and Apps.
However, it has been possible to copy Apps from one account to another and as long as the user puts the correct username/password from the originating account when requested everyhting works great.
Can anyone tell me if this also works under iCloud?

You will need to copy each work iCloud calendar onto 'On My Mac' and then move it to your personal iCloud account if you want to use one, and the same for contacts.

iPhone's don't store anything to the SIM. Your messages are part of your back up. If you want to be able to access them from someother device, try the computer apps PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac & PC):

make sure your ipad is not muted
make sure you volume is not all the way down
make sure audio play out of the ipad when not connected to the hdmi adapter
if you did and it don't work then it's likely an issue with the connetor
or the tv or it's settings

Although I use Text Expander on Lion and it is great, I think it would be very useful if Apple allowed syncing of keyboard shortcuts between the Mac and IOS devices via iCloud. It would be great to set these up on the Mac and have them available on both my iPad and iPhone.

You will need to buy the retail box from a third party such as Amazon.com or eBay. Be sure to run Software Update after installing & before running any of the applications. You can also download the standalone updater from this page.

I really don't want to be a hater to new things- updates can be great.
But Numbers 3.2 is really frustrating and difficult to use. Is there a way to get numbers 2 back? Or change any of the following:
When entering formulas, I can't find a bar to do so, I have to do it directly in the cell. This is really difficult when the formula is long and complicated.
Move the scroll bar with the sheets from the top of the page back to the left hand side. I can't see everything at once. Again, really hard and annoying when you have a lot of them in one workbook.
Move all the menu stuff back to the top (i.e. font and whatnot) This is just a personal preference, no good reason, other than the fact that this is what I've seen my entire life.

You still have it, in a subfolder within Applications named iWork '09. You can use both.

You can drag the edge of the Formula Editor and make it as big as you want:
Move the scroll bar with the sheets from the top of the page back to the left hand side. I can't see everything at once.
You can scroll quickly between sheets by moving the cursor up to the band with the sheet "tabs" and dragging left and right. If you have lots of sheets and need to see a list, you can try out the Automator Service described here.

If you like using the menu, the choices are still up there:
Switching to Numbers 3 involves learning new things. It has (in my opinion) many improvements. However, if you need to do a lot of precision printing to share with others, you will be happier with the old Numbers, though it's important to keep in mind that it is orphanware and eventually you will have to switch to Numbers 3 or something else.
