Is there a way to slow down play speed itunes?

Hello. I have recorded some interviews on a pocket voice recording and uploaded them into iTunes on my G5 computer.
In order to transcribe the recordings efficiently, I want to slow down the play speed.
Is there a way to do that?

This may not help your problem but if you've signed-up from the very beginning on the boards and listed your e-mail address it's already configured to automatically send you e-mails on all the threads you participate in unless you go to the right of the page and click (stop e-mail communications) or click on your profile the click manage e-mail notifications and delete the threads under e-mail notifications.
All the threads you reply to go automatically to your e-mail, so no worries there.

I just made several recordings (FMR) and would like to slow them down for the viewer. The video was actually of someone else's software demo that moved way too fast. On the Captivate skin there is "2x" to move the video twice as fast, but no "1/2x". Is there another way to slow down the video?

Is there a way to slow down all clips by 75%

I am trying to slow down all the clips in a project to 75% (Sports footage). There seems to be a way to do this individually but no way to do it across all clips. Is there? if not, sure would like to see this in the next version.

Any way to slow down the automatic ambient light adjustments

Is there any way to slow down the automatic ambient light adjustments? My local Starbucks has point-source lighting and as I move my head to the right or left my monitor grows brighter and dimmer. I don't want to turn it off completely because I appreciate the function, I just wish it could be a bit less aggressive.

Sorry I do not have an answer for you but I have noticed the exact same problem in other situations... Ever since they moved the light sensor from beneath the speaker grille to the top of the monitor I have not been enjoying the screen brightness auto adjustment feature as much as I feel it takes a light measurement from in front of the computer not ABOVE it (which is generally where the light is consistently coming from)

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

If you select all the songs you want to change, Be it one song or an akbum, or an Artist, Or Genre, or playlist. Then Right mouse click and Get Info. You then get a slightly different from normal Get Info box as this is the One for Multiple items.
In there have a look at the tags and see if the one you want to changes is in there. There are a few tabs so if for example you wanted to change the Media Type from Home Movie to Movie go to the Options tab and select Movie and OK and it will change the whole selection.

I am concerned as to what this data was and would like to find out if it is possible to trace what the content was? My cell provided indicated that they do not know what type of data it was.

if something runs fine in another account - one can isolate the cause to one of the plist files in the main acct Home/Library/Preferences/ or possibly an add-on in Home/Library/Internet Pug-Ins or ...Input Managers for example.
If there is the same problem in the new acct - you can discount anything with the main acct user library - plists,caches,plugins,input managers, the whole lot.
A useful tool is Console - found in Applications/Utilities/ keep it running while the 'problem' in question crops up & see if any messages pop up in either the system log or console log. Sometimes these will point straight at the problem area, other times no help at all.

On your Mac, login to iCloud.com, & try to locate your phone. This requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before you lost it. It also requires your phone be turned on & connected to the Internet. There is no other way to locate a lost iPhone, other than physically looking for it.

In either case, if you have iCloud setup, you can do better than shut down. You can lock it remotely and 'usually' locate it using iCloud:

Is there any way to make my iPod THE iTunes Library? I would like to free up all the space my iTunes Library takes up on my MacBook Pro, so I was considering purchasing an portable external hard drive to hold my iTunes Library…then it dawned on me… why shouldn’t I just be able to use my iPod for this? But not as simply a hard drive, but be able to access my songs on the iPod the same as I do now?

You can delete all the songs from your computer and just keep them on the iPod by changing the update option of your iPod to "manually manage music and videos". In manual mode you can connect and play the songs from your iPod through iTunes on your computer. You can get details here: Managing content manually on iPod
One major word of caution. If you delete songs from your computer and have no back up other than the iPod you will risk losing them permanently if your iPod fails or you find you have to restore it to solve a problem (and that's a very strong possibility). You should reconsider your original idea of investing in an external hard drive to store/back up your music. Alternatively at the very least back up songs you can't replace such as iTunes downloads to CD or DVD. Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
