Is there a way to sync Books from 2 different itunes libraries?

I need to get some books from my laptop onto my iPad (although my iPad isn't synced with this laptop - the PC it is synced too no longer works ) however it won't allow me to sync just the books without trying to erase and sync my entire iPad. Is there ANY way at all I can just sync my books, I'm not fussed if i loose what books I have already.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Itunes will only allow you to sync to one library at a time. The best thing would be to recover the files from the pc and import them into itunes on the laptop.
I would then perform a backup to icloud, at least some things will be saved if something goes wrong.
Then read this article I found:

  • Is there any way to sync apps from different computers in one ipod touch?

    Hi
So, I have synced my iPod touch with iTunes in my mac and now I want to install some applications that my brother has in his computer.
*Is there any way I can sync applications in my iPod touch using different computers, without losing the apps that are already installed in the device?*
Thanks a bunch for your help!
    Best,
    Ezequiel

    Wow, that was fast! thanks!
So, if I do that, I'll transfer all the apps from the iPod to my brother's computer and then I'll just need to sync everything back to my iPod... and I'll also need to do the same thing with my mac, in order not to lose the apps that I copied from my brother's pc, right?

  • Is there any way to sync my two macs iTunes libraries?

I have two Macs a Macbook Pro and an Imac.  I'd like to sync the iTunes libraries.  Is this possible?

A not-infrequent question and as yet the answer is pretty much no, there isn't an easy way to do it.  One way is to keep your library on an external drive and move it between computers so you are really using just one library.  Apple has, of course, come up with you being able to download media to various locations as long as you buy all your music from Apple, or you subscribe to Match.  Still, this is just downloading media. It isn't synchronizing the library since that involves more, such as ratings, playlists, playcount, etc.
There's: iTunes: How to share music and video - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2688 - about Music Sharing and Home Sharing.  Still, that just facilitates media transfer, it doesn't update the complete library which is more than just media.
PowerTunes - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powertunes/ (commercial software)  - doesn't really look like it does what you want.  I have a link for sync-o-tunes which does, but that won't work on modern Macs.

  • Is there a way to open automatically open different iTunes libraries in different networks?

I know how to select which iTunes library to open upon launch -- manually. But I'd like iTunes to automatically open a different library, depending on where I am:
    1) open the library on my external drive when I'm on my home network, but
    2) open the library on my Macbook Pro when I'm on any other network.
Can you think of a way to automate this?

If you setup the PDF with appropriate chapter labels for the pages - yes.

  • Is there any way to sync notes from iPhone 4 to MacBook Pro?

Is there any way to sync notes from iPhone 4 to MacBook Pro?

If the phone doesn't power on and isn't seen by the computer then you wouldn't be able to pull data off it with the USB connection to your computer.
You could pursue data recovery if the notes are very valuable, but the cost can be similar to having data recovered from a failed computer drive(possibly prohibitively expensive).

  • Is there a way to buy something from an iTunes store other than my own local one?

Is there a way to buy something from an iTunes store other than my own local one?

No, unless you have a valid billing address in that country and you are in that country when purchasing from it - otherwise you can only purchase from the store that is based in the country where you are.

  • IPad Syncing books from different computer

    Hello:
So I'm just looking for a quick and simple answer, here is the scenario:
Computer 1: Synced my ipad with movies(i have my movies in computer 1)
Computer 2: Here is what I have my books.
Is there any way to sync the movies from computer one and books from computer 2 without losing anything? Everytime I try to sync with my computer 2, it tries to delete all my movies I previously synced with computer 1

    No.  There is not.
You can sync itunes content from one and only one computer at a time.  If you sync to another it will erase the current content and replace with the content from the new computer.

  • Is there a way to sync IOS 7 with Itunes 10.7?

i made a mistake of upgrading IOS 7 on my ipod and now it won't sync with my Itunes 10.7..  There's no way I will ever upgrade to POS Itunes 11.  Does anyone know a way to sync IOS 7 with Itunes 10.7 ??
    <Re-Titled By Host>

No. Once your devices are running iOS 7 you need iTunes 11.1 or later...
The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
With iTunes 11.0.3 and later you can enable artwork in the Songs view from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view
View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) also contains options to change the sorting of grid based views

  • Is there a way to upload songs from my iTunes to another iPod that is connected with a different iTunes account without any songs being deleted?

My father has thousands of tracks in ipod nano uploaded from his desktop computer itunes, but he wants several tracks from my macbook pro laptop itunes.  Is there a way to get my tracks into his nano without deleting the thousands of tracks.  It seems ridiculous to delete all the tracks just to get a few more.  By the way, he does not have a desktop computer anymore, and the only way to get tracks is from my laptop.  Also some of the tracks in his nano, he does not own the CDs anymore that is why he does not want to automatically delete his thousands of tracks in his nano.  When he had his desktop, he had his own itunes account, and i have my own itunes tracks.  We want to share music although we have our own account. Please help. Thank you Apple.

No. If you have different iPod using a different iTunes acct. you have no choice but to delete the songs and upload your. itunes won't let you transfer songs from different iTunes acct.

  • HT3529 Is there any way to sync iMessages from an iPhone into the Messages on a Mac Book Pro?

Basically, for me to upgrade to an iPhone 5s, I'll have to trade in my iPhone 4s. The thing is, I'm pretty sentimental when it comes to certain text messages and I would really like to be able to save them all somewhere, somehow. Everything else is backed up to my laptop, so I'm not concerned about anything else on the phone; it's just not wanting to part with the text messages... It would be nice if there is a way to sync the rest of one's messages into the Messages app on the MacBook Pro. Is that possible?

If the photos were on the iphone when the last sync was performed, then you should be able to restore from backup.

  • Is there any way to sync books and movies to 2 devices, Is there any way to sync books and movies to 2 devices

My girlfriend has a iphone 5C and an ipad air, both with ios 7.0.4
She cant use itunes, so its up to me to sync all her content.  I am an IT expert with 25 years experience, and have developed iphone and android apps.
Howvever, I find Itunes and apple devices almost impossible to use.
    Here is the current problem.
After about 4 hours and a lot of googling I manged to sync our kids movies and her ebooks and pdfs to her Ipad.
Now Im trying to do the same thing with the iphone.  however, when I drag the same movie from th elibraryI dragged to the ipad to the iphone, I just get a red no-entry sign.
    No errors, no warnings.
Same with books, which I had put on her old iphone, so I know the format is good.
so how to get content in the ipad onto iphone is the problem.
I installed VLC on the ipad, and was able to push content to that using the http upload feature.
But I cant install VLC on the iphone. I can find it in itunes, but it doesnt offer me the install button, and it is not already installed (no icon). So gave up with that approach.
I made the mistake of enabling icould on the iphone, which then gave my partner error messages every time she used it saying it was full with her photos.  I have since disabled icould on all devices.
Any other ideas for getting content onto an iphone?  Both devices use the same itunes account.  We are only talking 4 kids movies and about 5 books.

I'm not clear on what it is you're doing. If you mean that you're trying to drag-copy a movie or other content directly from your computer's library folder to the iPhone, then except for photos you can't. You can only sync via iTunes, so all the content you wish to sync must be in iTunes. If the content isn't on the computer now, you need to sync the iPad to the computer so you get the content from the iPad into iTunes, and from there you can sync it to the iPhone. Or you can do it through iCloud at least for some content. See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109
    and
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386
Perhaps if you describe more completely what sort of movies (such as where they came from) you're trying to sync and exactly how you've been trying to go about it, we can be more precise in our advice.
    Regards.

  • HT4236 Is there a way to sync photos from my computer onto my Ipod touch 'Camera Roll' album?

Everytime I sync photos from my computer onto my ipod they go into two different folders, and not the camera roll. I really want to have them in the camera roll and was wondering if there was a way to do so,
    Thanks.
    Georgia.

There is, but I would avoid that method if I were you.
The Camera Roll (on an iPod Touch) is where photos taken on the iPod, screenshots taken on the iPod and also saved images are located.
Although other people may alternative suggestions, I regard the Camera Roll a temporary loctation, until the next Sync with iTunes. At that time, it is wise to move the pictures from the Camera Roll and put them somewhere on your computer. This means that when (rather than if) the iPod requires a Restore, you don't lose your pictures, since a Restore will remove all content from the iPod, and only put back onto the iPod what is on the computer.
For safety, I copy the Camera Roll pictures, into a folder which will then put them back onto the iPod in the Photo Library, and only once sucessfully copied, do I then delete them from my iPod' Camera Roll.
As for the two different folders...
    You can only choose one folder on your computer to Sync with your iPod, named for instance, "Piccys" and in there are (for example) general photos. However, also in that folder, you can have sub-folders, named for instance "Family" which have only photos of the family. Once the folder "Piccys" is Synced with your iPod, when you look in the Photos App on the iPod, you will see a list of sections;
    Photo Library
    Family
The "Photo Library section" will have all the photos, both from the "Piccys folder" and the "Family folder" listed as one list. However, if you look in the "Family section", you will see only the photos in the "Family folder".
So in your situation, I suggest that you create a sub-folder in your chosen "Sync folder" and place all the Camera roll pictures in that. What you certainly should not be doing is leaving photos in the Camera Roll or trying to put other pictures into the Camera Roll. That will be a recipe for disaster.
By the way, in my experience, the more pictures in the Camera roll, the slower a Sync becomes.

  • Is there any way to share music from my itunes library with a iphone not synced with my mac?

I use my itunes with my Iphone, But my husband has an iphone also and wants some music from my library to be put on his phone. How can i do this without transfrring his iphone to my itunes and visa versa?

No. Ignore the above post as it is completely wrong, & the poster has no idea what he/she is talking about. By design, an iPhone will sync or manually manage iTunes content with ONE computer at a time. Any attempt to do so with a second computer will result in ALL iTunes content being first erased from your phone, to be replaced with the content from the second computer.
