I have my iphone 3GS setup to be able to backup and sync with my computer over wifi. But I want to be able to backup to my sons computer also.
The things is I don't want to have to sync to his computer first to do this. Is there a file or something I can move from my computer that is setup to his that would let his see my iphone over wifi?If you don't have access to the old computer any longer, '''no'''. Unless you were using something like the Google Toolbar & Google Bookmarks or Xmarks, which would have your bookmarks in an online account that you could access. Firefox doesn't include an online storage feature for personal data, yet. That is coming in a future version.
If you have a friend at your old job maybe they have access to that old PC and they could export your bookmarks to a file and email that file to you. -
In Adobe ExportPDF, can you take an existing PDF and delete existing pages? For example, I have a 5-page report and need to delete pages 2-4. Is this possible? Thanks!

You can do this with Adobe Acrobat.
If you are using Export PDF it is a long procedure.
You need to convert your PDF in word or powerpoint.
Then you can edit the document & again can create PDF.

If you have suspended your account, you are still able to access your My Verizon online account to review contacts saved with Backup Assistant or media and call logs saved with Verizon Cloud. Can I take my old mac and make it into an external hard drive? It does not work anymore but I would like to make it into an external hard drive. I heard it is not to hard to do myself but I have important information I would like off of it and only really trust the apple store to do it. I know it is possible because I have had a friend that had it done after water went on her laptop. I would like to also know how much is this going to cost and if it is even worth getting done at the store or just do it myself.

In I movie, load the player with your clip. Play it until the frame you want is in the viewing window. Then take a screen shot and the whole screen wil be captured and placed in the camera roll. You can then crop it down to just the picture, or portion of the picture you want.

Recently purchased older powermac G4 at a garage sale. Unable to do anything because owner, that has now moved, did not wipe it clean and everything I try to do requires his password. Is there a way to restore to factory default, make myself admin and reset password? Hoping this purchase wasnt a complete waste of my time and money.

Here's one method to reset the password without the install disc:
1. boot computer and hold the "apple" key and the "s" key.
2. wait for terminal show
3. release keys
4. type without the quotes: "/sbin/mount -uaw"
5. press enter
6. type without the quotes: "rm /var/db/.applesetupdone
7. press enter
8. type without the quotes: "reboot"
9. press enter
This will let you create a new admin account when you reboot your computer.
Also, without the discs, look at Mac OS X Tip - No Password, No Root, No CD? No Problem.

Here is a way to get around not knowing the admin password on Macs.
To reset your OS X password without an OS X CD you need to enter terminal and create a new admin account:
1. Reboot
2. Hold apple + s down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
* mount -uw /
* rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
* shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you’re good to go again!
Not sure is this will work on a Mac running OS 9.

I have a new laptop, and have copied over my existing itunes libary, but when i connect my ipad, and go to update the software to the new version it warns me that it will wipe all my apps etc..... How can i stop this from happening and make my new laptop the "home" for my ipad??
Any help gratefully received! :-)Macs use an application called Migration Assistant to copy material from the old Mac to the new one. The macs are connected together and each runs Migration Assistance and the user chooses what stuf to copy onto the new Mac.
Unfortunately I do not know how to do this between pcs or between a Mac and a Pf or even if it's even possible. -

After spendings Hours / Days loading copying masses of music ( mostly CD's) to my recently acquired i-pod touch
I'm now fast running out of space!
Most all of this was loaded using the AIFF file format - which I now realise is almost twice the file size
when compared to the Apple Loss-Less format -
I've tried selecting high/lighting tracks ( on the pod ) then select File ( top right on tab ) & then Right Click >
But the option to convert to Apple-LL is 'Greyed out' ?
How do I convert them ? ( Preferable in groups or at least Album by Album rather than starting all over from scratch! )

Iv'e just purchased an i-Pad ( to replace my i-Pod ) as it has much larger
storage capacity. It's only a Gen1 - but is soley for music
( so not bothered about internet or watching DVD's etc )
Yes Iv'e had a Google - but it doesn't sound promising
( the few that do seem to be compatable still have problems with 'Tags' or
something to do with track lists / data ?? )
I'm gonner stick with Apple LL - It's what the i-Pad was made for ( me thinks )
Do you know what quality is used by i-Tunes it-self for it's downloads?
I ask this because if I recall correctly? Under the heading where you can
sellect kbps or AIFF etc it states " These settings do not apply to downloads"
I think what I'm trying to ascertain is - Would I get far better results by buying CD's
& manualy copying them to my i-tunes device - rather than downloading inferior versions?
My reasoning re- going this route is - I'll always have hard copies to keep ( literally )
Along with the saving grace ( & heart ache ) if/when a device fails or the system
crashes I'd risk loosing everything !

Is there a way to select multiple audio tracks and make all of them stereo pair at the same time?
I selected multiple tracks, pressed "option L" but was not able to make multiple clips stereo pair at the same time.
If I remember correctly it is not possible modify a group of selected clips on the timeline with the Stereo Pair command - unless all the selected clips have exactly the same properties - such as being linked to video clips, etc. So you have to manually go through and select the dual mono tracks you want to pair individually or in smaller groups to be able to apply the Stereo Pair command.
If you select a bunch (a couple) of clips, and go to the menu Modify, you will see if Stereo Pair is grayed out or not. If it is grayed out, then you can't apply it to those clips as a group, but you probably will be able to apply it if you make smaller selections of clips.

I have tried all morning to get my picture files to move into iPhotos. I want to push them using photo stream to my Apple TV. My picture files were originally from a Windows programme, I have too many photos to loose or just lay unviewed on my Mac!
Have you tried the import function on iPhoto? Have you tried just dragging them into the iphoto app?
