Is there a way to tell when an app was added to login items?

Is there a way to tell the exact date when an app was added to login items? (eg. through terminal or console?).
TIA

No. Login items are created when you add an app through
 > System Prefs > Users & Groups | Login Items
and is a list specifically used for running and app on login to a particular users account (not boot in general). At least AFAIK, this has nothing to do with installing the app to the system.
I'm writing a bash diagnostic script which needs to call this info.

  • Is there a way of knowing when an app was last opened on my iPad?

    Hello
I'm using an iPad Air with iOS 8.3. Is there a way of finding out when a particular app was last used and for how long?
    Thanks for any help.
    Dave

Thanks KP, that's a shame - do you, or anyone else, know of an app that can monitor these things? Basically, I want to be able to see which apps my children have used (games mostly) and when they've used them. I'm sure I can't be the only one!
    Cheers

  • Is there any way to tell when a device was last synced?

I have misplaced my iPad and to cut a long story short, by knowing the last time it synced over wifi will give me a starting point as to where  it could be.

You can look in Finder under
    ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
    ~ is your Home folder.

  • HT201317 Is there a way to tell when a photo in your photo stream was taken?

Is there a way to tell when a photo was added to photo stream. How do photos appear on photo stream? Are they downloaded from my iPhone when I save a picture that was texted to me? Do they then go right into my photo stream?

Photos added to camera roll are added to your photo stream (when the camera app is closed, you are connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining).  When you save a photo from a text message it is saved to your camera roll, and is therefore also added to your photo stream.  You can't, however, tell when such a photo was added.

  • Is there a way to see when a plugin was last used so it could be determined if that plugin could no longer be needed?

is there a way to tell if a plugin is no longer needed. In other words is there a way to tell when it was last used to determine if it should be deleted. for instance iphoto6,

the 4-5th digits of the serial number indicate week of production
ie 82327 = week 27 of the year.

  • Is there a way to view when gift cards were added so you can see what they were spent on?

Is there a way to view when gift cards were added so you can see what they were spent on?

No, you can't view a list of gift card redemptions, you can only view your account's purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases - if you select a link on that history then it should show how it was charged e.g. mine show 'Store Credit' as I only use gift cards

  • Is there a way to tell when the trash bin in iPhoto was emptied?

I am a teacher. I lost some very important photos and was under the impression that one of my students deleted them because she was mad at me. I was confused about how she did this because the main trash bin was still completely full. I didn't think until I got home about the trash bin in iPhoto. After a couple of tests, I think this is probably how she deleted the (since-recovered) photos.
My question is, am I able to tell when photos were deleted from iPhoto?

    None that I know of.

  • Is there any way to know when an app is going to be discontinued?

I purchased an app around eight months ago for $13. I forgot about it until I was reloading apps onto my new IPad. When I went to find it, it was no longer in the app store at all. I contacted the support people who told me that since it was "so long ago" there was no recourse.  So does that mean that any time you purchase an app it could disappear at any moment? Is there any way to know in advance that this will happen?  Never mind that it stinks to spend that amount of money and then have nothing to look back at.
Additionally, I have had trouble reloading apps that I have paid for as an "in app purchase".  What is the deal with that?  Is that information not stored like buying an app outright?
    Thanks
    DTC

Apple constantly reminds folks to backup their content. Apple warns folks all of the times that content may not always be available in the iTunes or Mac App Stores and most folks ignore the warnings or cannot be bothered to read them. No, unless the developer warns you that they are with drawing an app from one of the stores, there is no way to know in advance that an app may no longer be available.

  • Is there a way to tell when an iphone 3g was manufactured?

I'm on my third iphone. The first two had various hardware problems. The newest one is working fairly well...except that it says 'no service' at times when I switch over to 3G. Like the other two phones...they all work great for the first few days and then start to experience problems...especially during a call lasting more than 5 minutes.
But here's the problem: the last iphone I received as a replacement looks, well...used. The one I'm sending back is in better overall shape.
I was wondering if there was a way to check to see when this latest iphone was manufactured? I would like to know if I'm getting a recycled phone...or at the very least if it was built before or after the one I'm returning.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Is there any way to tell when a task has a lock

Normally I can just keep track of it. But upon an external termination I can get into problems. If I don't release a lock, well it stays locked. If I release it and don't have it I get a run time error. But I can't find a way to ask a lock if I have it.

    ChasGI,
Unfortunately, there is not a way to query a lock to determine what/who posseses it.
The Get Status lock operation returns the Number of Threads Waiting to Lock the Lock. You could get creative with that.

  • Is there any way the Creative Cloud desktop app can indicate which Market items have already been downloaded?

Hi, I'm not sure whether this is a general issue with the Creative Cloud desktop app, or something is going wrong with my installation, but I receive seem to receive no indication that I have already downloaded an item when I open CC --> Assets --> Market. Looking in my Libraries, I now find some items I've downloaded up to 4 times. Is there some indication I am missing? Is my installation of CC desktop messed up? Or should I suggest that there should be some indication of whether an item has been downloaded or not on that Market page in the app? Even when I go specifically to downloaded items, none of those items has the cloud with the arrow icon grayed out. The only time that icon grays out is when I download the item and keep that page/window open to download other items. As soon as that page/window is closed, the next time I open it, all icons are no longer grayed out, so I no longer have a clue as to what I downloaded unless I open my libraries in my browser. Seems a bit primitive.

Hi Elba, Thank you for your time and effort in researching this. Unfortunately, the above method you describe is more than a little awkward. When one shows the Downloaded window, as you illustrate, that greys out all the individual categories. So, if I were looking for brushes, I'd have to check if I already had it by going to the downloaded window, then navigate back to brushes by first going to Featured or Recent, and then to Brushes, (even All Categories is not clickable, though it looks active). I'd also need to have a very, very good memory, or be going back and forth very often, with how close some brushes appear, and how similar their names are.
Instead, in a browser window, I go to my library from my adobe.com page, so I can see what brushes I have while the window where I can download brushes is open:
However, this still seems awkward to me. Adobe could grey out the icons to indicate they had already been downloaded, while still allowing them to be clickable and downloadable. I guess more code would be needed. I see examples of this every day in both Apple's app store, and Google's play store. For that matter, even the Adobe CC desktop app itself informs me of what Desktop Apps I have installed on each computer, and even whether they need to be updated. I guess, though, the situation for all of those is a bit different, not being quite so cloud-based.

  • AVM1 into AVM2. Is there a way to tell which is being loaded?

I have an app that users can load SWF files into. It's
    written in AS3 (AVM2).
Currently, they can load both AVM1 and AVM2 SWF files into
it. Id like to give the users an alert when they load AVM1 content.
Is there a way to tell when AVM1 is being loaded...maybe a property
I should check in the loaded SWF?

    I figured it out. Thanks.

  • Wireless sync only works when I unlock phone. Is there a way to tell itunes my phones unlock code?

Wireless sync only works when I unlock phone. Is there a way to tell itunes my phones unlock code? Itunes tries to sync all night and posts 50 unknown errors. I unlock the phone and it syncs. I dont want my phone sitting around without a lock code but with wireless sync I cant find a place to tell itunes my code so it can sync? Any help is appreciated... Ray O

I have the same problem. I am forced to have a PIN set on my devices because I use my corporate exchange email and sync over wi-fi initially fails until I manually unlock the phone/ipad.  #ckuan needs to read the words wiritten.  We know how it's supposed to work but it won't start until you enter the PIN. Until then I get error messages saying either it cannot find the phone or explicitly telling me I need to unlock it.

  • I accidently deleted a voice mail message.  Is there any way to retrieve it?  I was told I had to talk with technical support to reset the password to my voice mail. Can someone tell me how to do this?  When I call, I can't understand the other person

I accidently deleted a voice mail message.  Is there any way to retrieve it?  I was told I had to reset my password since I entered the wrong one three times.

Depends on your carrier.  You'll have to contact your carrier for how to do this.  (This is for AT&T: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=52649#fbid=WLddP4KyTAu.)

  • Is there any way to tell which formulas a particular cell is in, reverse look-up style? That is, is there a way to search somehow for which formulas in a sheet contain a particular cell in them without opening all of them up? If not, it would be nice

Is there any way to tell which formulas a particular cell is in, reverse look-up style? That is, is there a way to search somehow for which formulas in a sheet contain a particular cell in them without opening all of them up? If not, it would be nice.
I'm fixing a Numbers document that I use in business daily that's become overly complicated, but while I want to clear/delete a number of cells in it to clean it up, I'm not sure if those cells are being used as source for other formulas on the page. I don't have to open all my formulas one by one to see if that cell is in there, do I?! That'd be a huge amount of work if I wanted to eliminate say 10 cells to search each formula on the page to see if it is in there or watch all the cells when I delete that cell to see if the numbers change! There's got to be an easier way! Right click doesn't seem to be any help.
I don't want to damage my daily tool to make it cleaner and reorganize it. Is there really no way to do a reverse look-up of which formulas a particular cell is in?! Any time I click on a formula it highlights all the CELLS in that formula. Why can't I (or can I?) do the reverse and see all the FORMULAS that contain a particular cell?
As a Numbers document ages or gets used frequently, you can sometimes forget which cells are tied to which formulas. You just look for the results of your formulas. Would be a nice thing to be able to do. Thoughts? Work-arounds? Answers?

Answer would be no unless application provided such feature. Numbers does not as far as I know.
Note that even if you have complete list of formulae used in a table, identifying formulae referencing any given cell is not simple.
E.g., cell T20 is referenced not only in
    =T20+1
    but also in
    =SUM(T)
    =SUM(20:20)
    =SUM(S19:U22)
    =OFFSET(S1,19,1,1,1)
    =INDIRECT("T"&(10*2))
In order to identify such formula, we have to actually evaluate it to see if it references the given cell. Especially such formula as OFFSET() and INDIRECT() may not be found by static parser because their parameters can be dynamic.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
