Is there a way to transfer all of my photos in my iPhone's Photo Albums and Events to my new macbook?
My MacBook's hardrive failed. My only backup for iPhoto is on my iPhone. I bought a new MacBook Pro and I'd like to restore all the Photo Albums and Events from my iPhone. Is there a 3rd party app that is capable of this?
I downloaded iMacsoft to transfer music, books, etc. But it will only transfer photos in my iPhone's Camera Roll.
Are these photos on your iPhone? Can you actually see them? If so, then iCloud should see them as well. All else fails, plug in the iPhone via a USB cable into the new Mac and iPhoto will launch showing you what photos you can import in.
Again, the old photos in question MUST be on the iPhone (i.e. you at one time sync'd your entire photo library to your iPhone, which to my knowledge also makes it available to the iCloud backup if you have enough room).
No, it is not easy to get synced photos back to the Mac. An iCloud backup does not include the synced photos nor the Photo Stream photos. See:
iCloud: Backup and restore overview
One way to save the synced photos back to the Mac is to save them to the Camera Roll. This requires extra space on the device and much tapping, because it is not easy to save all photos at once to the Camera Roll. It would be easier with iPhoto iOS. Here you can share the the synced photos to iTunes and then save them using iTunes photo sharing on your Mac. In iPhoto you can select ranges of photos to share - much less tapping required. See: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/#blnk7d8f763e
Use your photos in any app by saving them to the Camera Roll.
Import photos directly into iPhoto or Aperture on your computer.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes.
Save photos to your computer using iTunes
Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Tap a photo, album, event, web journal, or slideshow and tap > iTunes.
Tap Selected, or change the photos you want to save (if you are saving a slideshow skip to step 4):
Select different photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap one or more photos, and tap Next.
Select a range of photos: Tap Choose Photos, tap Range, tap the first and last photos in the range, and tap Next.
Select all the photos in an album or event: Tap All.
In iTunes, click the button for your device and click Apps at the top of the window.
Below File Sharing, select iPhoto (in Apps).
Select the Shared Photos folder under iPhoto Documents.
Click Save To and select the location on your computer where you want to save the items.
To view your photos, go to the Finder and look in the location you selected above.

I honestly don't know what happened one day all of my music just vanished off of the system.
But I still have all of my songs, books, movies etc on my iPhone.
I know you can transfer things from your Macbook, imac etc from iTunes to your iPhone, but is there a way to do it the other way around?,
PLEASE HELP! It will be much appreicated, my iTunes library started 6 years ago, that's a lot of music lost!Music purchased from iTunes can be transferred from your phone using iTunes, however other music cannot. To do this requires 3rd party software such as PhoneView (mac) or Touch Copy (pc or mac).

I lost my iPod touch and bought a new one? Is there a way to transfer all the songs I have in iTunes onto the new iPod? I am scared I will lose it all when I sync the new one or that I have to start all over. Please help!!
You can do better than that. You can click on the Restore button that appears under your device in iTunes. This will restore your iPod to factory settings as if it were fresh out of the box. But don't worry. By doing a restore, you will then be given the option to "Restore from Backup." This will allow you to restore the state of your previous iPod!!

I have 2 apple id's with different apps and data saved under each. It's very annoying so now I want to create a new id with my primary email address I use now. If I do that is there any way to transfer all my saved apps and app data like game saves etc so I don't lose all of that information and can easily switch to a singular apple id?
Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

Is there a way to transfer only recent text messages from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 6?
I have had an iPhone 4 for the last several years and finally upgraded to an iPhone 6 today. I would like to transfer my most recent text messages (for example, up to a certain date in the past), but not everything - I don't need the last 4 years of texts loaded onto my new phone. Any ideas? Thanks!
Thanks - but I don't want to delete entire threads, just most of the history in all threads. For example, is there a way to transfer all of my text messages, in all threads, from only from the last 2 months?

Is there a way to transfer my mail account settings to my iPhone
Is there a way to transfer my mail account settings to my iPhone - via Itunes or icloud?
I use apple mail Version 7.2 (1874)I know how to do it on the phone. Just wondering if there's another easier way to do this. Reasoning: we change our password for our emails frequently.

My iPhone is FULL, no memory left for photos. If I move all my photos off my iPhone, will the 'ALBUMS' and their content (pics) be blown away ? Also, what is the BEST way to clear/save photos off my iPhone ? PC, ITunes, some other app ?
I use an app called FileApp to transfer photos to my PC - I can then selectively delete photos from my iPhone and still have them on my PC - just download the app to your iPhone and follow the instructions for the accompanying program for your PC - then use your iPhone cable to connect - iTunes will also start up so just close it and you will see the iPhone storage as a drive - go the DCIM folder and open the device folder and you will see your photos.

When I got my new phone, I had my old contacts transferred over. They were saved into google, though, and I would rather have them saved on my device itself so that I can put them in groups and so forth. Is there any way to do this to all the contacts at once or do I have to put every single one in as a new contact and delete the old ones?
What phone do you have? If you go into contacts, believe most have some sort of import/export feature where they can be exported to the sdcard/internal storage and then imported into the phone.

I just got the 27" iMac but I don't want to burden it with all my photo files which are presently on 2 external HDs (USB 2.0 but one has FW800). I plan to transfer all these files to a new 4Tb HD via thunderbolt which will be my new working HD. Then I will put the old HDs in a an off site place for security. I want to access all the files by letting Aperture act as the digital asset manager. What is the fastest way to accomplish this?
I think the best place to ask this question would be in the Aperture forum, as they would know what you'd need to change in Aperture to deal with the moves.

I have just downloaded itunes on to a new laptop and when I have tried to tranfer the songs from my ipod on to it I was only able to tranfer the songs that i had purchased through itunes.
Is there any way of transfering the songs that are on my ipod the weren't purchased through itunes?Ideally you would transfer you working library, or a backup of it, from your old computer to your new one. If that's not possible then...

Is there a way to transfer all songs off of an ipod and not just purchases?
I recently purchased an MSI wind netbook, with windows xp home. I was wondering if there is a way to import all songs into the itunes library? I have all of my songs on a gateway solo, but I screwed that computer up and have never gotten around to fixing it. I enabled disk mode on the ipod, and accessed the hidden files on the ipod. I can get to all of my songs, but their names are all four capitol letters. I could copy them all to a new folder and then import them, but this would be only as a last resort as I dont have the patience to spend 5 hours organizing the songs. Please help!
Welcome to AD!
You can try these Apple directions

Or buy a 3rd-party ipod manager such as CopyTrans. -
Help anyone?
Can you still get onto your old desktop? if you can...see if you can get memory stick and just copy and paste on to it...if not....you might have to just do what the new iMac and you may get all back from ur history of purchase..just try and remember what dl....
