Is there a way to transfer my music from 4s to 5s without access to itunes on a computer.

I am upgrading from the Iphone 4s to the 5S today.
I purchase my music from my phone through Itunes on my phone.
I do not have access to itunes on a computer and I dont want to lose all my music when I upgrade.
I cannot install Itunes Match as I dont have access to itunes on a computer.
I just want to be sure I wont lose all my music when I upgrade. I dont have any cd's that I have transferred to itunes so all have been purchased direct.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Last Fall, I had a HD crash and lost everything on the PC. On my iPad, I still have my music. Is there any way to transfer all my music I have on my iPad and put on my PC? Most of the music was from CDs. I just haven't been able to figure out how to do it in iTunes.

I have recently had my laptop stolen, therefore lost all my music etc.
I have a third generation 40GB iPod with most of the music on it (ripped from CD's etc.)
Is there anyway I can transfer the mp3's from this iPod to my new computer? Just so I can transfer it to my new iPod touch.
It's going to be a pain having to buy all the mp3's.

So what would happen if you lost your iPod or it was stolen? Answer, all your music would be gone.
The iPod is not a storage device.
Do you have a backup of your media from your old computer? If so, copy all your media from that backup to your new computer.
Otherwise, try searching the forums for an answer to your question. This EXACT same question is asked and answered many times every day.

If the ENTIRE iTunes folder was moved or copied from the old computer to the new computer, then everything is there.
Simply open iTunes by holding SHIFT while double clicking on the iTunes icon and then point iTunes to the iTunesLibrary.itl file.

Not without installing additional software on your computer. The problem is that your Windows PC cannot read the Mac's disk format. If the iPod was previously used on a Mac, its storage uses the Mac's disk format. The Restore process reformats the iPod's disk for use with Windows, but this erases its current content.
There are third-party products that allow Windows to read the Mac's disk format. For example

However, even if your computer is able to read the Mac's disk format, iTunes cannot be used to transfer song files from iPod to computer (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). But there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
So, you may be able to do it by first making the iPod's disk readable on a Windows PC, and then using a method (that is not iTunes) to transfer its song files to your computer's drive. After the song files are on your computer, you can add them to the iTunes library.

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup cppy to put everything back.
