Is there a way to unclose grouped tabs?

I updated from 3.x to 4.01 and let my younger siblings use the computer, when i came back they had closed a tab using the group tabs option, is there anyway to recover my 34 tabs i had open?

You can control-click on an empty tab and select "Close Other tabs".
If you option-quit Safari, all the old tabs will be forgotten.

  • Is there a way to create a tab on the iPhone keyboard?

The one thing that I can't figure out how to do on an in-screen keyboard is the "tab" key.  When taking notes on my ipad and iphone, I like to indent to indicate new thoughts.  On an external keyboard, the key is available but is sorely missing on screen.  Is there a way to create a "tab"?

The iPhoto for iOS seems to be aimed at working on photos then sharing them to social media sites or to iCloud for sharing there. iPhoto for iOS does not perform many of the organizing tasks that iPhoto on your Mac does. Many people expected that there would be more capabilities in iPhoto for iOS that would allow it to work more closely with iPhoto on your computer but this is not the case. They are separate apps.

  • Is there a way to force the tab order to skip a page and then return to that page on a form?

I have a multi-page form with a required page layout.  The problem with the current form layout, is that I'm finding my users are getting to page "20" and it seems like the natural end of the form...and stop entering information and submit.  The problem is, there's an additional form field on the next page that MIGHT need important information.
The information in that final field is only present in about 10% of submissions, but is crucial to the file if present.  As I said, the page layout is required.
Is there a way to change the tab order to go from the last form field on page "19" to the form field on page "21" and then back to the form fields on page "20"?

Thanks try67, but it isn't a required field.  As I mentioned, only about 20% of submissions will require filling it in.
There isn't a submit button.  Not even sure what I would do with/or how I would implement a submit button.  After processing the form, the filled out form is 'Saved As' to keep the original forms integrity intact.  The 'Saved As' file  is renamed appropriately, and then it is printed to a PDF file and attached to the appropriate customer file.

I usually have 3-4 tabs open which I am saving to read later. But I loose them all the time when firefox crashes or when another appliaction opens firefox to download something and it will discard all my tabs. This is incredibly annoying, is there a way to save my tabs ? or get them back when there is no "restore session" button ?

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

Recently, I was surprised when someone that I was in a group iMessage with added new members to a chat. This felt like a breech of privacy.

    Thanks!

That's not something you can control with iMessage. If you want that kind of control over a group chat, you may want to look at a chat application such as Group Me or Blackberry Messenger. .

  • Is there a way to completely disable tabs (removing all tab related menu options) for firefox 10?

Is there a way to completely disable tabs (removing all tab related menu options) for firefox 10. I hate tabs and recent changes to the menus make incorrect selection of 'open in new tab' when what I want is 'open in new window' a common and unwelcome occurrence.

You can hide menu items and move them up / down in the menu with the Menu Editor extension. <br />

  • Is there a way to load a tab group that I named and closed WITHOUT using "restore previous session", "recently closed tabs/windows" which doesn't restore it..

    grouped some tabs, named them and closed them; did some activity afterwards; closed FF and restarted;
    tried options mentioned above, but they did not restore that tab group - seems to be already classified as "not belonging to previous session", or whatever;
    the name of the tab group can still be found in the sessionstore.js file tho;
is there any way to search for named group tabs and load them?
    If not, pls implement that - otherwise the use of grouping tabs does not make sense to me, and I would not see any reason to use it;
Please restore the "Bookmark all tabs" functionality in the bookmarks menu. Users need to know that this option is available, and should have easy access to the functionality of a software product to be able to use the options, not to have to turn to google every time to figure out if the browser that they are currently using is able to do this or that, and if yes how they can invoke the desired functionality.
    Thank you.

did not have that extension installed, but did it now and can't find anything there that would concern tab groups. (also referred to as Panorama). This session manager seems to provide a lot of stuff that the browser is supposed to do anyhoo, but with more options of configuration. Hope extension and browser won't cause a mess while attempting to do both the same thing.
Yes, I know that Bookmark all tabs is still available via right click - after a google-search told me so. My feedback was - why remove functionality from the menu? It's really not overloaded - and I'd expect a menu listing me the complete set of functions a software allows me to do, unless it busts the menu. So I was just asking myself - how come it has been removed? Makes no sense to me.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Is there a way to open new tabs on the same site without having them go to a new window?

i like to go to article sites and open up many tabs where each tab is a new article. this allows me to quickly go from one article to the next. when i try to do this with the new firefox it opens the new tabs in a new window because they are from the same site. is there any way for me to turn that feature off?

Do you mean the Switch to Tabs kicks in if you enter an already opened URL?

  • Is there any way to view two tabs at the same time w/o opening a new window?

I would like to view one tab while I am working in another. I can do it by opening one of the tabs in a new window and tiling both windows on the screen. Is there any way to do it within one window?

Just installed Split Panel and it looks like it will do exactly what I want.
    Thanks,
(Don't know how this got in here twice. I'd like to delete it but can't figure out how to.)

  • Is there a way to select MULTIPLE tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs and titles/or URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; However, I prefer to use a Firefox feature rather than download an add on. Thanks.

Currently, I can copy ONE tab's url and nothing else (not its name). Or I can bookmark all tabs that are open. However, I'd like to have the ability to select multiple tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs AND their titles/or copy ALL of the URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; when I download the add on, I get a message saying that using the add on will disable Firefox's tab features. I prefer to use Firefox features rather than download and use an add on. Is there a way to do this without an add on?

    Hi LRagsdale517,
You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Is there a way to recover my tabs after using the Firefox "Forget the last" feature?

    Hi,
So I'm a big dummy and used the "Forget the last" button on Firefox (I'm using version 34.0.5) without fully understanding what it does (note: I only selected it to forget the last five minutes, if that helps anything). It exited my session and restarted with a clean Firefox window, but now I can't access my tabs anymore. I've been reading some of the similar questions about recovering tabs and tried their solutions but this case seems to be different and so I am lost.
    Here's what I did:
*Made sure that all file types were now visible
*Went to my Firefox profile folder and made a copy of everything as soon as I could
*Tried looking through the files that were there (the only relevant ones that seem to be there are recovery.bak and recovery.js)
*Couldn't find any useful information in these files. There was certainly no list of tabs for me to use
*Still haven't exited the Firefox session since it restarted and wiped away everything. I see that in some support tickets here that closing Firefox is necessary, but honestly right now I'm too nervous to try that
*Become increasingly frustrated, open a Mozilla support account and post this
I'm quite reliant on my tabs. Have I done something wrong here? Is there any way to restore them, or am I just screwed in this particular case? I made certain to look at this forum and do everything the solutions to similar problems said to do.
For what it's worth, Firefox has crashed a few times over the last week and had to start up again, so maybe that backed up a version somewhere? I would even be alright with a somewhat older version of tabs (I have some dating back to months ago and that contain information I would very much like to access again).
Any help would be very much appreciated, and I would be happy to provide more information if it's needed.

The sessionstore.js file only exists while Firefox is closed. During shutdown, Firefox writes out that file based (I think) on recovery.js as of that point. When Firefox starts back up again, it reads sessionstore.js and deletes it. So if Firefox is running, it's normal not to see sessionstore.js. Anyway, sessionstore.js is going to be empty now.
Shadow Explorer might already have done this for you, but just in case...
You could try the previous versions feature. This is harder to get to on Windows 8 and 8.1, but I have read about a roundabout way. I can't test this myself, but here's what you do:
Let's say you have a Windows Explorer window open to your current Firefox profile folder. This is something like (with your username and semi-random profile folder name):
    C:\Users\''username''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\blahblah
Click in the address bar and change the C: to
    \\localhost\c$
to yield (with your username and semi-random profile folder name)
    \\localhost\c$\Users\''username''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\blahblah
Press Enter to reload the folder contents that way.
Now when you right-click recovery.js, recovery.bak, backup.js or sessionstore.js and choose Properties, there should be a Previous Versions tab. Usually the most recent previous version dates back to the last time Windows created a restore point (e.g., system update or possibly scheduled on a more frequent basis).

  • Is there a way to lock several tabs that you need all the time so that they are always available?

I use the same 6 or 7 web pages everyday at work and I'm wondering if there is a way to keep those tabs open by default?  It would be especially nice if they stayed in the same order.  My work flow includes using LinkedIN, Basecamp, Zoominfo, SalesForce, Facebook, etc. and I need to always have them open and easy to find.
I think that as we move more to browser-based software solutions, being able to keep pages open, properly labeled and easy to find is crucial for streamlining work flow.
By proper lables i mean: when using brower-based software, the name of the software should be shown in the tab instead of what part of that software you are using.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi ,
If you use the “Add Bookmark for These Tabs” option under the Bookmarks menu, it will create a single bookmark link that will automatically open all of those pages in seperate tabs when selected. You may find the following article helpful (it's aimed at Mountain Lion, but the same option should be available in Mavericks):
Safari 6 (OS X Mountain Lion): Keep bookmarks in the bookmarks bar

  • BI 7.0 BEX: Is there a way to put multiple tabs (queires) in a workbook.

Q1: I have three different queries that the users want on different tabs in the same workbook. Is there a way to do that?
Q2: I cannot make the 'Selection' pop up box to open up whenever I open the workbook. I have checked all the basic things I need to check.
    Thanks
A fellow developer sent me this answer:
You can always have multiple queries in one workbook. All you need to do is to go at each and every tab and insert the query. Save your workbook on the server.
Once you will refresh your workbook, system will prompt you with the necessary variable window for all 3 queries at a time.
If you are using BI7.0, you might not see the refreshed value, if "refresh at open" is not set for the workbook. You have to click on the button, which will open a variable window and then you can refresh the data in your workbook.
I hope this would help !!
    Danny
    My follow up question:
Danny, thanks for the answer. I was not able to find the steps to insert the query in each tab. If possible can you (or anyone else reading this) list the steps in some if not a lot of detail. Thanks again.

    Hello Bobby,
Here is the steps for you,
    1. Execute a BEx Query and Save that as a Workbook (If you already have a BEx Workbook skip this step)
    2. Goto next Sheet of the workbook and place the cursor where you want to insert the new query.
    3. Goto BEx toolbar, Click Tools Icon  Choose Insert Query
    4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for more queries
    5. Save your workbook -> In the Bex Toolbar -> Save -> Save Existing or New workbook
Condition for the above to work
All the queries should share the common variables.
    Thanks

  • Is there a way to hide the tab bar on my I Pad 2 in IOS 5?

Anyone know of a way to hide the tab bar in an I Pad 2 using OS5? It wasn't there on the previous operating system.

I can only assume that you are talking about Safari and the answer is no. Safari now uses tabs. If you want a tab free browser, download iCab. You can use tabs or you also have the old Safari way of browsing open web pages at your disposal. Another rally nice feature is that you can swipe from one open web page to another open web page. It also has a ton of other features that Safari does not have.
