I purchased Adobe CS5.5 when it was released and am now looking to upgrade to Adobe CS6 for Mac. I am a full time student and so was wondering if there is a way to upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 and still get a discount as im a student.

I actually meant can you upgrade the initial standard configuration that you choose at setup to the next option which is workgroup. The next choice after that is advanced. I did figure it out though. If you're in a standard config and you try and open server admin it asks you if you want to convert to the advanced config. There's apparently no way to upgrade from standard to workgroup.

i also use the HeidiSQL client and it works, the only problem is in dreamweaver.

OK. Did you really mean to ask this question on a ColdFusion forum, if it's DreamWeaver you're having problems with? You're probably better off raising this on a DreamWeaver forum. "Using the correct tool for the job" 'n'all.

Click on the Buy link where you can change from Full Version to Upgrade. You can upgrade from Photoshop CS5 or Extended and it is only available as a download. I wouldn't buy from a reseller because most of them are taking full advantage of ripping people off by jacking the prices up. Also, you might not get a working serial number.

If you have Time Machine and it ran after the backup you want and before the current backup you can restore it from the Time Machine backup.

I know you have to have snow leopard to download lion via app store. But isn't there a possibilty to buy a bundle or any other way of upgrading without paying double price? So far I can't find any information on the Apple website except you have to have Snow Leopard. I know this implies you gotta get snow leopard. Just wondering if I have to pay the full price.

There is a way but it's unlawful (Violates Apple EUA) - I did post a link in here but Apple deleted it ( To be fair the link did expound some convoluted set of circumstances under which it would be legal, but in reality it was a hack so fair play)
I have read that some "helpful" Apple Store will let you borrow a SL copy but I doubt if that's widespread.
The way to look at it is that Lion is priced as an upgrade from SL - not as a base product, which is why the $29 (or equiv) is actually pretty fair.

Sorry, it is not possible to upgrade the older AirPort Express devices beyond version 6.3 since this would be hardware dependent.
If you are running Lion on your Mac, you can download and install AirPort Utility 5.6 for Mac OS X Lion to administer the older Express devices...and...your newer devices as well.
Keep both AirPort Utility 5.6 and 6.1 on your Mac.

Correct way to upgrade from LP 8 to 9 with all the extra content?

I know that Apple has moved around the default folders for Apple Loops and extra audio content with different versions of Logic. When upgrading from a full install of LP8 to LP9, what is the correct way to do that. I'm worried I may get duplicate Apple Loops etc.
Should I just run the installer and install all 9 discs to the default settings, or do I need to pay attention to which folders the extra audio content goes? I'm seeing a scenario where the Jam Packs from LP8 are in a different folder than the default for LP9 and so will get installed a second time.

How can I the make sure that every file on the disk is actually in the loop browser , and to avoid duplicates? Over the years as directories have been changed for GB and LP, it's been quite confusing, especially since I already had some Jam Packs and also Soundtrack Pro and corresponding Loops before they became part of LP and some other Loop packages. Is it really as easy as deleting everything in the Loop Browser and then dragging all the folders from the HD in there?

Both of my sons have iPod touches. I set them both up on my iTunes account. The problem we are having is when they are using iMessage. When one sends a message the other also receives it. The message is labeled as from my email address. Is there a way to differentiate the 2 iPods?

I'm reasonably certain the upgrade you found at that third party site would not work with your version.
But it looks like you still qualify for partial upgrade pricing through Adobe, it drops from $399 for the full version to $249 going from 5.0 to 6.0 (skipping 5.5)...

If you had 5.5, the price would only be $125 to upgrade through Adobe (that third party site is charging a little more than Adobe does for the same upgrade).

Call 800 MY APPLE and get sales support. They can work it out. It is still possible to purchase Mountain Lion, they send you various emails and links to do so. It costs $19.95.
In my case, I had purchased it for another computer, I was told if I go to purchases at the App Store, there it is, and I can download it to the one that needs it. It's that simple.

Why is it now impossible to upgrade from Audition CS5.5 to CS6?

I've obviously waited too long for Adobe to fix all the things in CS5.5 that weren't brought over from Audition 3, and to put them into CS6.
Sadly now I can't carry on with my chosen upgrade path without the ruinously expensive CC version, the cost of which is prohibitive now that I'm retired!
Sad to say, this decision by Adobe means that I am having to give up use of Audition and move to a competitor's product! It also means that my recommendation to other radio broadcast users here in the UK is to no longer follow this program unless they have the Beeb's financial backing in acquiring it.
A real shame! It was always my 'go-to' tool of choice for anything audio. Still, it's their loss ....!

It's still possible to purchase Audition CS6, but I don't think that there's an upgrade path any more. Doesn't mean absolutely that there isn't though - you'd have to call to find out. I can give you a link to the purchase page though - Adobe hides it rather well...
