I am trying to figure out if there is a way to use my Bluetooth headphones with my Apple TV3. I know it has Bluetooth as I can use the keyboard.

....especially as AppleTV has no analogue audio out, and most non-Bluetooth wireless headphones would expect an analogue input (there are some expensive ones that handle optical, or the user coudl maybe use TV headphone/audio out, but Bluetooth audio might be handy for many.

Is there a way to use PM4.0 with Windows XPH without purchasing the latest suite or upgrades? I origionally purchased a suite with Pagemaker, Photostyler and Freehand just before Aldus went Adobe, and Win3.1 went Win95, then WinME and WinXP. I miss PM and have several manyscripts saved on PM4.0 and can not export or import them to any current wordprocessing programs. I was very far into one manuscript and am now in a position to finish it up but don't want to have to purchase a whole suite in order to do so. Any suggestions for this old tightwad? I think I have a WinME PC in the garage, which if you can re-format with DOS 5 and install Win3 instead (I may have the disks in the garage too), PM4 will positively scream along.
I reckon it's non starter on a modern WinXP PC, as the OS is so different, but if you're willing to experiment, you never know!
But if you want to open some old files to extract the text, you can open the PM4 files and save them with a d/l'ed trial copy of PM7, which will be OK on WinXP

Can I use Bluetooth headphones with a 1st generation iPhone? The headphones pair but the sound comes out of the phone and not the headphones. The phone has iOS 3.1 which is the last software the phone will support. Thanks.

Is there any way to use bluetooth and force audio out at the same time?

I have an older treadmill that uses IFit which means a program on my phone controls my treadmill via an aux audio cable. I like using BT headphones so I don't have cords hanging. So...I'm trying to figure some way to either a) have iphone connected physically to treadmill but bt'ing music to my headphones at the same time or b) get iphone to communicate with two different bt devices simultaneously. (Treadmill can also be controlled via BT, but I still need the BT for headphones)
Any ideas would be great. I currently have cable running from treadmill to iphone and headphones via a splitter but it's a LOT of cord hanging which makes things difficult.

If you use it in standalone mode and really don't use it for anything else then go ahead and load it up and just let it run. Sure it will take a long time but you're not using it for anything else.

Footage from my Canon VIXIA HF S20 (AVCHD format) looks just about perfect when I import it into iMovie and when I cut together a project. I've been told that Compressor 4 does a much better job of encoding and exporting, but it's completely integrated with Final Cut Pro X and not iMovie. Is there any way I can take raw project files from iMovie and export them using Compressor? Or must I be forced to save up for Final Cut Pro X?

You should be able to use Compressor with iMovie - it's a standalone app - but, of course, there will be no "Send To" buttons. But I really doubt that it will help you much.

Finalizing means that iMovie renders your video in different sizes. Have you tried to export or "Share to Media Browser"?

The iPhone has many (faster) alternative methods for sharing photos. Bluetooth is slow. It's far quicker to share a photo via multiple methods (email, file sharing apps, facebook etc.) over the internet, especially given the file size of average iPhone photos these days.
In the time you've shared just one photo, with one person within 10 metres of you, over Bluetooth, I could've shared half a dozen photos with an unlimited number of people, located anywhere in the world.
I guess you're happy using 15 year old methods of file transfer. You'll be asking for a dial-up connection to the internet next!!

Got an iPod touch for christmas... very cool. It doesn't synch with my computer... not so cool.
The information I've found - compatibility chart at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60971 - suggests that I'm SOL with Win2000 - it appears that I can't upgrade past iTunes 7.3 whereas 7.4 seems to be required for the Touch. Are there any hacks our ways around this, or am I just going to have to suck it up...? I don't like using sketchy pirated OS's but I'm not real excited about going out and buying a new OS either.

There is no way for you to use iTunes with Win2K and the Touch. You can use 3rd party software, WinAmp, with a plug-in: http://www.winamp.com/ but this will not let you download upgrades and purchase 3rd party software for the Touch when it becomes available.

I am wanting to erase the edges of a rectangular object so that it blends better with the background, and am wondering if there is a way of doing this using the eraser tool with soft edges?
Here is a snapshot to illustrate further what I mean:
You should be able to see that above the curve on the left there is a gradient which extends to the top of the image. This is the rectangle which I have applied a gradient to. At the top of the rectangle the colour is the same as the background. What I am trying to do is to blend the left edge of the rectangle in with the background above the curve (below the curve there is a line so no blending is needed). The way I thought of doing this is using the eraser tool with a soft edge. I can do this in Photoshop, but I'm not sure if this is possible or the best approach in Illustrator.
I would be grateful for any advice on this,

I don't really understand yoru end goal. However, the answer to yoru Eraser Tool question is no. There is no such thing as a "soft edge" for the eraser tool.
The ways to blend objects in specific areas only would be:
Gradients with transparent stop
Gradient mesh with transparency nodes
Opacity masks
Fake it by blending to the same color as the background.
