Is there a way to use the 'search' function outside the search menu

Is it possible, to activate the 'search function' outside the 'search menu' on the iPod classic ? With 30000 songs and more on an iPod, it would be great, if I could use this option i.e. in cover flow, display songs, or display albums. This way, I won't get any blisters on my fingers, from scrolling from "A hard day's night" to "You can't do that".

A couple of suggestions:
1. If you just have a few items you don't want included when you shuffle then find them in your library or playlist, pull up the info on the song/book/etc (File menu, Get info option), go to the "Options" tab and click the box that says "Skip when shuffling"
2. If there are a lot of items, then you may want to create a smart playlist (File menu, New Smart Playlist option) and set it up so that it excludes all the items you don't want. Then you can play that playlist on shuffle.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

There is no alt key, so no, but there are a lot of preloaded symbols already on the phone, all you have to do is hold a key and extra options will come up. For example, if you want an accent over a, hold a, and it will give you options for it. This also works with the symbols, for example, the $ symbol can be held to provide the money symbol for euros, yens, pounds, etc.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Is there a way to use multiple canvas tags with the ToolKit for CreateJS for Flash in one HTML5 doc?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if someone could help point me in the right direction for solving this. I have created 5 short animations using Flash and when I published each ".fla " (with Toolkit for CreateJS extension) I get 5 different html5 files with their own respective javascripts. Is there a way to get all those canvas tags in one html5 file and still have it work. I'd love a hint on where to begin so I can begin researching the solution.

You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one computer. Each is different and will only sync what you select.

we would like to create a page template with centralized information in the database. I tried to use the shortcuts inside the page template, but it doesn't seems it's working, or I'm not using it correctly.
The only way I was able to use it is by using javascript to instanciate some properties, But I don't like that idea because it means I must edit all the page using that script. I simply want to change the page template and the changes be applied to all the page who are using that template.
Here is what I want to do :

IS there a way to have a dynamic substitution variables that I could use in my html object attributes ? (I'm using APEX 3.2)

Set the value using an application computation or process and reference it in the page template using static substitution syntax:

I have plsql proc, in which i have a list of table_names. For each of that table i need to run a query that will retrieve me a list of values and for each of that value i need to do something.
If i can be more specific about the problem -> each of that table is built as key_column, value_columns, day,starttime. For a key per table there are 4 records per hour - every quarter. Im truncating those quarters to full-quarter (minutes => 0->14 = 0min; 15->29 = 15min, 30->44 = 30, 45->59=45)
example
i get for one key and specific hour four records at 15:01;15:16;15:31;15:46 => i truncate em to 15:00;15:15;15:30;15:45..Sometimes there is a problem with the tool that is generating those data for me, and one quarter could be moved a little - so i get data like 15:01;15:16;15:29;15:46 => after i truncate the times i get duplicates in second quarter. It also can happen like this : 23:00; 23:14; 23:29; 23:44; 23:59 => totaly bad => cos the last one supposed to be as 0:00 next day, ..and 23:14 as 23:15...So...that was a problem - and solution -> i wanted to create plsql that will find those hours in each table i ve defined, and for each problem hour i make some fixes - update the bad time ...
..and i have problem - can i put an dynamic built table_name in the "from" clause?

Is there a way to use SPD workflow to enhance the alert function in a SharePoint list?

I have a request to achieve this:
the Alert function in a list only allows a user to get alert when anything changes or created, but there is no way to specify notification before a certain field date. For Example, users want to be able to choose to receive a reminder
10 days before expiry date.
The requirement:
1) A user can set a reminder if they wish - so cannot be systematic automatic reminder
2) A user can choose how many days before expiry to receive reminder
I tried workflow by adding additional columns to set the user name to receive reminder and # of days before expiry day to send reminder. But that setting can only apply to one user at time, and the user has to set one item at time, e.g. if user A sets
5 days prior for the reminder on an item. then user B changed it to 4 days, then user A's setting if overwritten.
So this is really a customization of the alert function, but wonder if it can be achieved by workflow created in SPD (or NinTex?)

One option i can think of is, you can set the Create and Edit access: in Advanced Setting from List setting to Create items and edit items that were created by the user, so that other users can't override the items created by other
users.

The new version has made it hard to easily view recently closed tabs. Is there a way to restore that part/function of the browser?

In the older version (do not know which number), there was an easy way to view all the recently closed tabs from a drop-down menu, which could be accessed from the top-left of the browser.
Now, you have to go to History>View History Sidebar. And even then, there is no view for the recently closed tabs.
I liked the simplicity of being able to see the last tab that had been closed, and the one before that, and the one before that — all in chronological order. Now, there is no way to tell which tabs/links were closed when.
I hope this makes sense. ... I even installed a few add-ons to help me with this issue, but they didn't do the job quickly and easily.

That's not bad, but it does not give me control over opening the exact tab I need. I assume this opens all tabs that were closed in any given session? That could be a lot of tabs. I do miss the fine-grained control and convenience of the older version. Sorry, I sound picky, but this issue has really affected my browsing and working experience quite a bit.

Is there a way to use iMessage but not have the texts sync to my iPad or other devices, just stay on my iPhone?

I don't like when things from my phone sync to my iPad or iPod, so I am wondering if there is a way to keep the texts on my phone and off of everything else. I share my iPad with others and don't want to be in the middle of a conversation when all of a sudden it just appears while someone else is using the iPad. In addition, I don't want the messages to syn to the computer when I plug my phone in, as I also share the computer with others. This has kept me from using iMessage because of how iCloud works, but maybe I just don't have a good understanding of how they work and someone can clear it up for me. Thanks.

Hi! I am looking for some help with understanding more about the cookies.sqlite file. I use to add/remove cookies in bulk to the exceptions list when I used the cookies.txt file however now that I am unable to use a text pad to quickly paste the names of cookies, I am finding trying to modify my exception list has become quite tedious. I was wondering if I would be able to use another method to view/work with the list of cookies outside of the Firefox browser? Thank you in advance for your help!

You would need an SQLite manager program to open the cookies.sqlite file and inspect it.<br />
However exceptions are no longer stored in the cookies.sqlite database, but in one permissions.sqlite database file.
You can give it a first try with the SQLite Manager extension if you don't have one yourself yet.

Is there any way to use video with the new Flash CC HTML5 Canvas?

I am a long time Flash user trying to determine if this new version of the program is something to add to the workflow again (after the last several years of not being able to use it) and the tutorials I have seen are not well written. Is there a way to use a video file within the animation, like with the AS2 and AS3 versions of Flash where I could insert a video clip into a symbol and animate the symbol while the video played.
What I need to know is what format of video file I should use and how to add it into the timeline since Flash does not seem to be allowing for any type of import for this.

Ok, so there are limitations, are they written down somewhere? I have been looking for a list of do and do not functions and the ways to work around them. Are they in the documentation somewhere I haven't discovered?
Right now all I am looking to do is create Classic Tweens that animate movement and opacity so I can create a presentation with video that includes these elements. Is that level of functionality available in the HTML5 Canvas, or is that still on the drawing board?
Is there a specific name for what I am looking to do that would aid my search? HTML5 video is not enough since the answer has not been forthcoming in Google or on Adobe or Stack Overflow. I am starting to think that nobody has thought of this yet, or if they have they decided that it is not currently possible and skipped the part where the rest of us find out.
Any thoughts on making the connection to either doing this or finding out that it is just not possible yet would be very helpful.
