Is there a way to vertically scroll records in an interactive report

Hi, I have an interactive report which returns over 100,000 records. Currently, to move through these records one must press the pagination icon (x - y of z records).
Is there a way to have a vertical scroll bar?
this used to be accomplished in SQL reports with <div style="overflow: auto; height: 500px;width: 1000px;"> set in the header and pagination turned off.

just to clarify, I am able to add the region header of *' div style=overflow: auto; height: 400px;* to a regular SQL report to have it scroll...but just unable to do so for an interactive reportl. thanks again.

Do you mean, you reverted your project to saved? If you are lucky, the recording still might be in the project package ( if you copied a region of your recording to another track).
Open the project package in the Finder by ctrl-clicking the project and look at the recordings in the subfolder "Media".
If there is a more recent Time Machine Backup of your project, enter Time Machine, locate the version that may contain your recording and copy the Media folder to the Desktop or any place you like and then reimport the missing track to your project.

Is there any way to change a recording from mouse voice back to "normal"?

I accidentally recorded something in Mouse Voice but I need to change it back to "normal." Is there any way to do this?

Is there a way to auto scrool in iBooks? If not, is there an app or other reader that does? Auto scrolling would be a great feature for furture updates in case anybody from Apple is reading this.

Is there a way to link text fields in an interactive form in ID CS6?

I'm recreating a form where they had several text fields on top of each other. If the form were not interactive, that would be so the user could use it to fill out longer, more detailed responses to the questions.
But since it's supposed to be interactive, I question the need for this, unless I could link them somehow, so that a user's long answer would flow from one field to the next as needed.
Is there a way to do that? Or would it work better to combine the 3 text fields into one big text field?
If the latter, is there a way to change a text field back into a text or picture box? I can't seem to find that option.

You cannot link PDF fields to each other.
Make a text field Multiline and Scrollable to allow for extra input (in Acrobat, but not in InDesign, you can also set a limit on the number of characters).
As I said elsewhere, choose Object > Interactive > Convert to Object to change a field to a regular object.

We have some BW reports which are published through SAP Portal and access given to only Team Leaders, now we want to see who are accessed or trying to access those reports other then Team leaders. Is there any way we can generate a LOG file etc. to see those user IDs. Any suggestions will be highly regarded with points

Best way to style a column in an interactive report?

Since I'd rather not do it directly in the SQL used to populate the report, can someone suggest a clean way to style all cells of a given column from an interactive report? Perhaps all cells of interest can be addressed through jquey using the "headers" attribute they share?

Oh, and I'd also like to make the vertical separations between cells aparent if possible....Please try this one:

These instances is from one table. For example, I have table Products and Warehouse (*to*). To create this I need additional table Inventory. When I create assoc and link, then I have object Products with via Inventory and Warehouse with via Inventory. Inventory1 and Inventory2 are these instances. Do you now how do that was asked in my question?

Is there a way to speed up recording times?

I've been reading on here for a couple of days and the amount of information has been very informative. I apologize if my question is ignorant or has been posted here before but I am planning on starting a local VHS to DVD conversion store. At the moment I am converting my relatives videos to get the feel for the editing and amount of time.
-I am currently running a Mac
-Have a basic VHS player
-Use Encore for editing and DVD Menus
-Have a ADVC 110 for my transformation
I have been able to do everything but my biggest concern is time. Currently I am recording around 8 hours of VHS and it takes around 10 hours to record all of this to my Mac. After that I have to send this stuff to Encore for the other DVD conversions (DVD menus, etc.) which alas takes more time.
My main question is: What would be a good plan to service more than one client without it taking a couple of days? I want to be able to do this professionally and to do this for many customers. Right now it looks like I can only do a couple a week. I also want to do the best quality of work for clients.
My only idea right now is to purchase DVD recorders and VCR's. I've thought about pulling a James Bond and try to find a local place to see what they do.
It seems like everything else time is the biggest factor. I appreciate any insight/feedback or any reading materials that can help educate me on my options. Once again I apologize if this question is too vague or ignorant.

I have your set up and there is no way to speed up what you are doing. Its real time conversion. I did also bring my older stuff to a service bureau. There set up filled an entire room! With many thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Yet, I still think its real time conversion. ie minute for minute. You might want to check out a professional set up. You will also not want to use imovie for professional DVD burning of DV material.

Is there any way to name the records from a data merge?

I have a spreadsheet, that has all the names for the images I'm using for a data merge. What I want to do is name the resulting records after the filenames in one of the columns in the spreadsheet. Is there anyway to do this? Or is there some other way to individually name the records from a data merge? I don't have any scripting prowess, so I can't really mess with that. You merge it along with the others, just like any field. ID cannot do the naming for you during the merge, but most spreadsheets have lots of logic capabilities that should allow you to extract a name for the record from the filename in the column of your choice. The only reason ID knows to find the image instead of writing the filename is that you've used a special name for the field.

Trying to have authenticated user's IP addresses stored in LDAP somehow. This value would then be readable via LDAP and thus accessible to external machines/services.
I'm toying with the idea of a login hook + cron script (both client side) to update an LDAP attribute periodically. However, I wanted to find out if there were other/better ideas out there.
1) How do you modify (in OD I would assume) the user record to include an IP address field?
2) How do you collect the data from the client and get it into the directory?
Any thoughts/hints/tips/solutions would be very welcome.

The reason I ask is that storing this data in OD seems unusual. What do you expect to gain from this?
If it's just a matter of locating a specific active user on the network then DNS would be a more typical approach -you can combine the DHCP client IDs with dynamic DNS so update the DNS records as users connect to the network (or use bonjour, of course).
If you're looking at this for historical records, then the DHCP server logs would hold that data, with the advantage that you'd have a historical archive of IP address assignments over time.
Don't get me wrong, it should be possible to extend the OS schema to incorporate any data you like. It's just a matter of whether that's the best approach, or whether you're re-inventing the wheel.

Is there any way to add scrolling texts manually on Captivate 5?

I tried to used the text box entry in standard objects as a scrolling text, however it failed when someone else on here replying to another forum saying it should work. The main purpose of this is for the people visiting this project, i need them to be able to scroll and view the directions/information I set for them instead of having to push buttons and go to a different slide to view these directions/Information...

Is there a way to "auto-run" record checks without web services?

Is it possible to have something run at, say, midnight once a week that checks if certain conditions are met in a timely manor and then fire off a workflow based on the results? We are trying to track how many days a certain record type has been in a status, and send reminder e-mails to reps that have let them sit in that status for too long. I don't think this is possible with CRM, is it? If not, can I use web services to accomplish something like this if I know what I am doing?

Hi,
You can use a combination of WS as well as workflows to do this. Run the WS based batch periodically and touch the affected records which in turn can trigger the standard workflows to send email notification.
