Is there a way to view detailed progress activity in Lightroom 4?

When I'm doing a large import, it drives me crazy that all I can see is the little white progress bar in the upper left. Since it sometimes gets hung up on an operation, it doesn't provide enough feedback about the processes.
I'd prefer to be able to double click that and see a full activity report in a new window of what is getting imported as it's happening, with a separate progress bar for each item. I'd like to see this for all other actions as well, but importing would be my priority.
Am I missing something, is there a way to see this? Or am I requesting a new feature? I'm running Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3 RC [858820].

I had a situation where I had to quit Photoshop immediately, but it wouldn’t let me because a background save was in progress. I don’t like killing a program with the Task Manager during a write operation,

Yes, look at the bottom of the image window where you see the progress of the save, there is a little "x" click that and the save is aborted.

Is there a way to view an ENTIRE event?

In the old iCal when you selected an event it was displayed in the right side panel. The new iCal doesn't do that and when I double click to see the event the new window only shows the first 4 lines of the event. I use iCal to save the info for the jobs I'm doing, and it's kind of annoying to have to scroll down ten lines to find out where I'm supposed to go. Is there any way to view the ENTIRE event? Maybe even to have it show up in the side panel the way it used to?

There is a 'Location' field in the event record that is displayed only if it contains an entry.
In a quick test, I was able to create a new event and display at least 7 lines of text in the Location field when I clicked on the event and then touched the space bar to display the details.
The Event Name field still only displays the first four lines of text, unless you double click and scroll, as you have been doing.

Is there a way to automatically open the Activity Viewer & make it float?

I just upgraded from Panther Mail, and I really miss knowing what was going on and having to constantly open the activity viewer and reordering the windows every time I do something. Is there a way to somehow make the activity viewer open with mail each time and keep it floating above the other windows (so I can have an indication of what's going on like in Panther Mail)?
I'm afraid I'm going to shut mail down in the middle of a crucial activity. No doubt that might well be behind all the problems that develop with it over time.

I had two problems relating directly to the Tiger upgrade, one I solved with help here. That was importing saved mail that failed to be imported into one mailbox, the saved messages were showing up as IMAP messages ("haven't been downloaded from the server yet"). When both my accounts were POP, I never even had an IMAP account. I solved that and everything else with mail is fine now, except I want to see what's going on like I was able to in Panther. I especially miss not seeing outgoing mail sent progress, especially with long messages.
The other issue was font related, and I still cannot get Fontbook to save the fonts I have disabled, so I just removed the duplicates manually (leaving the ones in the system folder as the defaults). As long as I don't open fontbook again, and it doesn't automatically re-enable the fonts, my system is fine. I will leave it alone now for a couple of years like I was able to in Panther. I have over 3000 fonts installed and available at all times which I need for my print work.
Other than that and a 25 minute log-in time (as it reads the fonts; in Panther it was 7 minutes and I learned to live with that) everything is finally ok.
The long log-in might also be Spotless related; I don't know enough about it to figure it out; all I know is if it is, it is a small price to pay for the way the system flies not having to index all my loaded drives all the time, not to mention the wear and tear on my drives.
Tiger is so much faster than Panther (once I shut down Spotlight) it's like having a processor upgrade. Once you work out all the glitches, it's definitely worth the money and time put in. I was very careful with the install... counting backup time the usual precautions and updates to everything afterward (including third-party programs), it took over 30 hours.

Sure. Go to the conversation that contains the message(s) you wish to forward. Tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Select the message(s) you wish to forward using the radio buttons. Tap "Forward" at the bottom right of the screen.

I was wondering if there was any way i can view both of them on the same screen on my iPad while studying? This way I could see their slides along with the notes i take during class.

Is there a way to view all cameras in the timeline at once without creating a multicam sequence? Is there some kind of window I can open where they will show up? I am scrubbing a timeline and I would like to see all the cameras at once.

The multicam monitor only shows multiple clips at once when they are part of a mutlicam sequence. is there some reason you don't want to use them inside a multicam sequence for previewing?
Here is a possible workaround, if your workflow circumstances will permit it:
Apply a pip preset effect to each clip in the timeline. Use UL, UR, LL, LR presets and up to four video tracks will display at once. If you need to see more than that, you'll need to tweak their position parameters by hand. When you're done previewing them all at once you just need to delete their effects from the Effects Controls panel.
I know it's not that neat or quick, but it will let you see everything at once in the program monitor.

sberman: My iMac is running iTunes 11.0.2 already. As well, the Photos tab in the iTunes window shows that "Sync Photos from" is un-checked. And in the box to the right of it is the greyed-out empty folder that I previously synced to in order to remove photos from the Camera Roll.
Ralph9430: I did a reset (Home + Sleep) earlier when I was trying everything I could think of. I have also re-synced a couple of times. No luck.

I was hoping someone out there would tell me they've experienced the same problems (non-functioning DELETE button, and persistent data in Photo Library), even if they haven't found a solution. Then I could assume it's a iOS 6 bug. All I can think of to do next is a full iPad restore.

I am not at home, but I need a phone # off my contact list. Is there a way to view my contact from my account? Since our contact are on a server, you'd think that would be possable.... but then again, we're talking about skype here.... not much common sense in managment!

Your contact list can only be accessed using Skype application installed on your computer/device.
However, if you Skype account is linked with Microsoft account, then you can login to Outlook.com on the web and tere you should alos be able to see your contact list.

You can only remove them in iTunes on the computer.
