Is there a WiFi Webcam for my G4?

I have a PowerPC G4, and am looking for a WiFi webcam. I would like to be able to watch my new puppy at home throughout the day while i'm at work.
There are a few choices for the PC - but I can't find anything for the Mac.
Anyone?!

PS... it doesn't have to be WiFi.
I have access to an ethernet connection in the location I want to put it.
Just a webcam that I can access remotely from work.

I would keep my Mac and its connecting cables locked up as far from a puppy as possible.
If you cannot take your puppy with you or get a puppy sitter so he is not afraid of being alone,
use a stand-alone wifi security camera instead.

Configure the Airport Express to Extend an existing network and provide the name of your network and the password to sign into your network. It sounds like you are unable to turn on Wi-Fi because the option is grayed out in Settings. Use these steps from the following article named:

Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, please see these steps.

Webcam for Titanium Powerbook

My mother is using my old Titanium Powerbook. I would like to use Skype with her. She was told at an Apple Store that there are no webcams for this computer. Is this true? Is it a USB problem? Any ideas for a camera.

I checked them out today at my Apple Store. The tech there said you could use ANY webcam with a Mac. Obviously delusional, at which point I stopped listening to him. The Logitech box says minimum 10.4.1 and G4 800Mhz processor. The Ti book may be just 400Mhz. What processor speed does your Ti book have? That may be why it won't work on the older books?

I have just got a Portege R835-P56X . Are there any Wifi and Soundcard drivers for Windows XP for this laptop ? I want to downgrade to win XP as I have a huge collection of legacy software which have compatibility issues with WIndows 7. I can't find the required drivers on the Toshiba website, all though there are drivers for webcam or touchpad. I don't understand the reason for having a few drivers for XP but not all the required ones. Surely one can't use a laptop without Wifi or audio.

   Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7
It's not necessary to have hardware vitualization enabled. See KB977206.

Yes. tried the one ram stick, no go. I have been trying to boot off/install the windows 7 disk but am unable to get to the point where windows starts installing after its gathering information portion of the install. I can get to the disk selection screen of the install with the WD HD on SATA port 2 but then get the "cant install messages" when I try to select the Vertex 3. Yes I can see the Vertex 3 Drive as well as the WD drive at this point. some times I have to hit "scan" a couple of times.

WiFi Webcam (ethernet based) for my G4?

I am looking at getting a wifi webcam to keep an eye on my new puppy while i'm at work during the day over the net. I can't seem to find anything for a mac - only pc (go figure).
Anyone have any ideas? If it was ethernet based (not usb based due to location issues) that would be great.

There was an iClops project for awhile, but the folks abandoned the idea, I heard for possible legal reasons.
There is an app, Camera for iPad, that lets you use the iPhone's better resolution camera to take photos for other iOS devices. But it does not work with any video apps. I am not sure why I would take photos with an iPhone for the iPad, unless it was for later viwing on the larger display.

Roamingnome, thanks for your response. Although I have been a Bell (Canada) customer for my WiFi signal for years, the 5c and its necessary mobility plan, is very recent. Some years ago, Bell supplied its own ‘router’ for my computer, and claimed that it was possible to get their WiFi signal only with the router they supplied. When I recently received the 5c, I wondered if the plan it requires, which is within the much wider, overall Bell zone, could be used somehow to get my Air online - some sort of tethering? - that allows me to give up the Air WiFi service and router all together, but still get the Air connected. Here in Canada, Bell Mobility and other Bell services are very separate. Any suggestions appreciated.

Several problems with Mountain Lion, APP STORE (login/logout error), WIFI(802.11n for 802.11g), MAIL (horrible)... Apple, what is happening?

Do a factory reset .. nothing will be deleted from your backups and you will be able to get access to them again.
The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.

I recently got a iPod touch so I could access the internet anywhere on OSU's Campus. For some reason I cannot connect because none of the passwords I have seem to work. I was told that I needed a 802.1x WiFi update for the iPod Touch. Where can I get this, if it is available? I really need some way of getting the internet to work.

No, such an update is not currently available. Whether it ever will be is impossible for anyone but Apple to say and they generally don't announce such things ahead of time. I'm sorry that the Touch isn't doing what you want but it sounds as if you may really need a laptop, not a digital media player.
