Is there a Window's Media Player download compatible with the INTEL iMacs?

I tried downloading MWP for Mac OSX and the file name was Windows Media.sitx and I couldnt do anything with that. I also tried downloading Windows Media Components for quicktime but it said it wasnt compatible with intel Macs.
Any suggestions?

Although Microsoft no longer supports it, WMV9 for OSX works on the intel machine, running under Rosetta. That .sitx file you download can be uncompressed with the free Stuffit Expander for intel:

Alternatively, you can download the Popwire components for intel Mac, which allow WMV files to play in native Quicktime (7.0.4 and below only) or Flip4Mac, which will do the same, although only by running your Quicktime Player in Rosetta, as F4M has not released a universal version as of yet.

Unfortunately, there are no lowpass filter modules compatible with the SC-2040. One option you may want to consider is an SCXI system with an SCXI-1140 (8-Channel Simultaneous-Sampling Differential Amplifier) cascaded with an SCXI-1142 (8-Channel Bessel Lowpass Filter). I am asking this because since I reinstalled Windows 7 32bit and Flash Player I am experiencing problems with Flash.
My action centre informs me that I have a problem with Flash Player and I should go to Adobe's website and address the problem.
I have uninstalled Flash and reinstalled Flash as Microsoft and Adobe advise, several times but I still get problems.
I uninstalled the 64bit version of Windows 7 because Flash was causing too many problems.
Since reinstalling the 32bit version I have had several reports of Flash Player not working properly, Skype reporting problems and IE8
using compatibility view when I view some web-pages with Flash in them.
When attempting to view Netto's webpages Flash fails to work and I am told to download the latest version of Flash again.
I do not remember this problem occuring with either previous versions of Flash or with Windows 7 RC.
Is anyone else using the Professional version of Windows 7 32bit experiencing the same or similar problems?

I am experiencing the same issue with a new external DVD burner, a Sony DRX-840U. When I load a CD into this external drive it appears in iTunes but when you go to import or play the CD iTunes indicates playing or importing for each individual track for just a moment. The end result is that nothing is ever imported or played. I am experiencing this on two different systems. One a notebook running Win2K and the other a desktop running XPpro. If I use the internal DVD drives on either of these systems everything work just fine. Yet I am able to use this new external DVD drive with every other application. For example Window Media Player has no problem playing or importing the same CD that iTunes fails on. The last person indicated that if one set the DVD drive in question to be the drive of choice under preferences>advanced>burning that all was ok. I my case this Sony external drive is the drive listed as the drive of choice for burning yet the issue still exists.
As this appears to be an issue that others are also experiencing help from Apple Tech Support would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to download window's media player. I have read posts and found that I need to download stuffit expander first, so I did that and when I tried to open in it says Error Opening Movie: movie could not be opened. I am trying to open it in Quicktime. am I doing something wrong? this has been my message for literally everything I have tried to download including windows media player.

Windows Media Player? As far as I know, that won't work. You need to install iTunes

HP Pavilion dv5 Window's Media Player suddenly stopped playing CDs

When I first got my computer the Windows Media Player played cds just fine, but all of a sudden today it wouldn't play a couple of my cds. And after my only actual cd player broke my laptop has been my only cd player, so this is very aggravating. How do I get my Window's Media Player to play my CDs?

Changing the function of the Media Player Hot Key on the Laptop itself

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to change what the Media Player Hot Key on the Laptop itself does? I've got the Power Button, Internet, Media Player, Play/Pause, Stop, Rewind & Fast Forward, but the Media Player Hot Key is pretty useless to me, and I'd like to change its function, to open Outlook instead, but does anyone know if that's even possible?
I'm almost positive that there's a way, but I just can't seem to find it, if anyone can help me, then I would really appreciate it,

I remember it was possible to assign different functions to the control buttons on several units.
I dont know what unit your use but you should check the Toshiba control button application which could be installed on your notebook.
You should find it in the control panel
This application could allow you to configure the control buttons.
But if this software will not provide this option you will be not able to change the functionality

Thanks - I didn't realize that. I'm also embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to transfer the audio files from my iPod to the iTunes library on my computer. When I select a book from the list on the iPod, the only option I see with the right-facing arrow symbol is "Show in iTunes Store ". I back the iPod up to this computer so I guess those files must be on it somewhere, but all I can recognize in the iTunes folder under " Music" are the music files found in the "iTunes Music" folder. (There are also a ton of files named "iTunes Temp (some #).) The Books list on the computer shows some but not all of the audiobooks - I purchased the rest on a different computer that is now unfortunately dead. I'm guessing now that those didn't transfer over when the new computer was populated from the old one, so the iPod may be the only place where those audiobooks now reside. I hope that made some sense- any additional advice would be appreciated.

Thanks! The procedure worked great for me (using iTunes 10), however there was one caveat. I also had to edit “AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi” with Orca and change the entry in “LaunchCondition” from
VersionNT64>=600
to
VersionNT64>=501
in order for the Device Manager driver update procedure to work, and iTunes to recognize my iPhone4. Prior to doing this, only “digital still camera” was displayed in the “imaging” entry in Device Manger. Once I did the above, “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver” was listed, and the procedure worked as written.
