Is there a workaround on installation of drivers (Windows support drivers)?

I get a crash everytime I try to install these drivers on my Bootcamp partition.
Windows does a crash dump and restarts computer. I do not know exactly at what point during the installation of the Windows Support drivers this happens.
Other comments: I am using at the moment generic PC mouse and keyboard connected via USB as my bluetooth drivers have not installed properly (it seems).
Thanks for any help!

Forgot to mention, I installed Windows 7 Professional with service pack 1 debugged and checked build 64-bit.

  • Boot camp 4 can't install windows support drivers

    Hi everyone,
I have the new imac 27" with thunderbolt and preinstalled Lion. They dont give you a CD.
I run Boot Camp assistant (version 4.0) and try to install windows on a purchased DVD Windows 7 x64 ( i am a recent convert to mac but still need some windows proggys.)
Ok so once I run the installation It asks me to download the windows support drivers... I do this but then it stops 3/4 through the process and comes up with an error "can't install windows support drivers".
Do any of you out know how to fix this???
Also If I dont use the option to update the software before installing and just select install windows 7 (second option) from a disc. It installs windows fine BUT it wont install any of the network, usb, camera, graphics and sound drivers. so basicaly I am blocked from the internet for windows to update the drivers. I also cant get the driver files from another computer as the mac in windows mode can recognised usb sticks as the drivers arent installed.
I need help urgently on this as it is doing my head
    Thanks in advance.
    Daniel!

    Yes, but.
Open Network Preferences>Network>Advanced>Proxies and uncheck everything (try Passive Mode on, and off, but no auto Proxies)
    And try again.

  • Can't install Windows 8 on rMBP, installer does not find Windows support drivers.

First I downloaded a W8 ISO, and used it with bootcamp and created a bootable USB drive. Followed all the steps, downloaded the support drivers and partitioned my HD. My system restarts after and boots windows 8 installer. On the screen were I am supposed to select the BOOTCAMP drive, it will not let me load up the Support Drivers, so I can't continue to install the OS. They are on the Drive and I can see them...
I've been trying for hours, searching the net and now I decided to ask the community..
    Thanks!

  • Is there any other ways to get the Windows support software?

Hi guys, I encountered some problems while downloading windows support software using boot camp assistant. This keeps showing up:
I have tried over 10 times, even with VPN connected. But it failed every time at this point, very frustrating. Is there any other way to get windows support software? Maybe a third party website to download?

You can try downloading Windows support software from this page > http://www.cafe-encounter.net/p682/download-bootcamp-drivers
I tested the links and they work. However, this must be the last thing you should try as packages may be modified (now not, because they are from Apple servers)

Howether, windows has just finished installing and it turns out my USB drive is currupt or broken.... I dont want to launch internet recovery to re-install mountain lion just to then re-install windows! Is there another place i can obtain the WindowsSupport files, Google wasnt any help

  • Downloading and Burning Windows Support Drivers

I'm trying to put Windows 7 on my new 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 iMac. After it downloads the support drivers for Windows, it asks me if I want to burn them to a disc or store them on an external drive. I select burn to disc and Mac OS recognizes that I put a disc in, but whether it is a cd or dvd, nothing will burn once the disc is inserted. It just takes me back to the screen where I select which media I want to store the drivers on.
Unless, of course, everything I need is on the Mac OS X install disc, then I can just bypass this whole procedure?

    Just ignore.
If you notice it doesn't work for anyone, they are on your OS X DVD, guess it wasn't tested, and it has been this way for months.
Most Apple related articles, tips, troubleshooting regarding Windows on Mac are in http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp
In the end I hope they get rid of having to jump thru hoops, ie, install 3.0, udate to 3.1, then update to 3.2, all of which is old, buggy and liable to cause problems, and let people just deal with a full suite of drivers, services, and the option to select what can be customized for the user. Choose whether they want AppleHFS.sys for instance.

  • Installed WIndows 7 & correct bootcamp drivers, windows will not activate "hot fix" or "Support drivers"

Hello, i hope someone can help,
i have repeated this whole process 3 times already, it has taken 8 strait hours of my time and i still have had no success.
    QUICK SUMMERY
To put it simply, After windows is up and running on my mac, the wireless network wont work, so i cannot download the hot fix, and the support driver files from bootcamp will not open because it says they are not "32 Valid" ?. But im using a 64bit disk.
The wireless network adaptor automatically doesn't work on windows right after installation,
so i had to load the Hot Fix onto an SD card along with the bootcamp drivers, then open the hotfix file in windows.
The first time i was able to install the fix, windows restarted and installed the update, logged back on... and nothing changed.
At that point i attempted to open the "Setup"  file in the bootcamp support folder, and an error message came up saying it wasn't valid.
LONGER EXPLANATION OF MY COMPLETE PROCESS: (to cancel out any questions)
i was able to find my support driver from here:
    http://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-leopard-snowleopard.merged -1.sucatalog
its some old fashion coded page that has a bunch of apple drivers you can download by pasting one of the codes in your browser,
i searched for bootcamp support drivers, and found the code for my exact model (Mac Pro 8,2)
i was able to manually downloaded the drivers instead of  using bootcamp assistant.
    As a side note,
i was able to download the bootcamp drivers via boot camp assistant after the 5th try,
so now i have both files that i know are supposed to work 100%. they are loaded and unzipped on an SD card like they are supposed to be for when i open windows.
I have a Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit CD from the inlaws so i used that CD after i partitioned my drive in bootcamp.
Bootcamp run like it was supposed to, and i followed step by step instructions in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVfRQ0YIDUI&feature=related
    once windows was finished installing,
it automatically would not detect a network card, so i couldn't connect to the internet and download the apples bug fix. (The Hot fix)
instead i downloaded the hot fix on a separate SD card, turned windows back on and loaded the hot fix from the SD card.
Windows installed the hot fix update, restarted, but nothing changed.
Ive even tried skipping right to uploading the drivers, and windows wont activate the support because it says its not "32 Valid"
I completely removed windows 7 vis bootcamp to rinse and repeat hoping i made a simple mistake, but no same thing happened.
    Conclusion
-im Wondering if i should "Istall important Windows Updates" during the begining of windows preperation...
maybe that will fix the issues of it not reconizing wierless network, and not being able to upen up the bootcamp file?
(it says you are not supposed to install any windows updates untill the HOT FIX and BOOTCAMP SUPPORT is activated on windows)

You have been too cleaver for a Boot Camp install.
The partition system does NOT like anything other than a standard arrangement which creates 4 partitions.
    EFI -200mb
    OSx - Extended Journaled
    Buffer-200mb
    Windows -NTFS
Return to OSx -Open Boot Camp tool from the utilities folder reset to a single partition.
Start again and when you get to Windows - Let all the drivers load on the CREATED partition. Use the External for storage !
Just for your information, as it doesn't seem you have ever used BC.
When starting the boot camp assistant the first thing it want to do is download the Windows Support drivers and asks you to save them to a DVD, it will also allow you to save them to your OS X hard drive or to any drive connected to the system. Once those drivers are downloaded it then starts the Win install. What you must do is copy those support drives to a media that Windows can See and Read from. Like a DVD or a thumb drive formatted FAT32
No where in the OPs post does he say anything about fooling with any partitions on his internal drive other then creating the BC partition.
His problem is he saved those support files to a Mac OS X formatted external drive. Windows can not read Mac Extended (Journaled) formatted drives. So he can't load the drivers for Windows until he copies those support files ove to something that Windows can read.

  • Airport Express Installation Utility for Windows 7

Is there an Airport Extreme Installation Utility for Windows 7 64-bit?

There is no airport utility for windows after 5.6.1
BUT you must use Airport utility v6 for any of the new airports.. although people report different experiences with 5.6.1
Install in windows 7 64 bit is still possible.. boot to safe mode and try again. And Again.. And Again.. Isn't windows fun!!
It can usually be worked around .. although Apple seem less and less interested in making Windows accessible.
The airport utility for iOS is great and most people will have iphone or ipad they can use.. much better than windows AU. 5.6.1

A bit of repetition, mainly for the benefit of anyone else with the same issue. In your case the "for older video cards" version might be worth a try.
When cleaning folders you need to check both the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders, which you may well have done but didn't mention in the detail above.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Mobile Device Support won't install normally.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • While using Build App installer, how does one include drivers for hardware

I have a LabView vi and I would like to create an application to be installed on a different computer that also requires a PCI-6503 digital IO card for the purpose. While using Build Application to create the installer, is there a way I can include the necessary hardware drivers for the DIO card?
       Thanks.
        -Bahadir

    Hi Bahadir,
Your request for the option of including specific drivers (in your case NI-DAQmx)
with the installer of your executable is something that is something we have
heard from many customers. With any version of LabVIEW up to 7.1.1, you have
always had to install the drivers separately or in best case by creating your
own *.bat file that defines the installation procedure of the driver.
However, LabVIEW 8 is here for
your rescue! We have listened to our customers and now you have the simple
option of putting a checkmark for the option of the driver you want to be
distributed with your installer. Check these options from the Installer
    Provider:
Please read more about the new possibilities with LabVIEW 8 from this tutorial:
    Distributing
Applications with the LabVIEW Application Builder
The best part of it all is that you can try it all
(including Application Builder) out by downloading the Evaluation version here:
    LabVIEW
    8 Evaluation Software Download
Notice that the Evaluation version of LabVIEW 8 is similar
to the Professional Development System, except from a watermark and the fact
that is only runs for 30 days. Everything else is possible!!!
Try out LabVIEW 8 and check out all the other places we have
    listened to our customers...
    Have fun!

  • G500 drivers installation order on Windows 7

    Hello,
I just bought this laptop, a G500, model name: 20236 and model number CB03103187.
    LENOVO ESSENTIAL G500H 59-395372 15.6'' INTEL CORE I3-3120M 4GB 1TB AMD RADEON HD8570M 1GB FREE DOS
    With no windows.
It came with free dos on it. Which is just fine.
I would like to use my own new copy of windows 7 64-bit.
I will download the drivers from here:
Drivers and software - Lenovo G500 Notebook
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS035531
Is there a particular driver installation order ?
I am thinking of doing it in thisorder:
    -Windows 7
    -windows 7 SP1
    -BIOS
    -chipset
    -amd video
    -audio
    -usb device
    -blue tooth
    -atheros LAN
    -WLAN
    -camera
    -card reader
    -touch pad
    -power mgmt
    Do i need these drivers?
    -intel video drivers
    -intel mgmt engine
    -intel rapid storage
    Thank you in advance,
    Gus

    Hello Gus,
There is no particular driver installation order. I personally firstly install Chipset then Display/Video drivers and after that everything else. Since you have AMD RADEON HD8570M in your machine, you do not have to install the three additional Intel drivers.

  • USB/Serial Drivers and App Builder Installer Questions...are drivers included in the Installer with the LV runtime engine?

    Hello all,
I'm wondering if someone can help me out with how drivers and all are treated with applications distributed with App Builder, used to create a stand alone, full install of app and labview engine with Installer.
What has happened  is, my application was created using the NI branded USB to RS232...and USB to RS485, and they work great.
On the application when running..you fire it up, it finds the USB to serial device, and I have a dropdown that finds the available COM ports to use (along with setting parity, etc).
I've installed on different computers (without previous labview installs) with the installer. They all worked.
The customer has received the installer....and despite us telling them to use the NI branded USB/Serial interfaces..they are trying to work with a different USB/serial cable.
They say the COM ports aren't even showing up when they run the installed application.
So, I'm not sure where to start. Is this a driver issue?  Does the App Builder Installer...install the drivers for the interfaces I was using with it? Is there a way for the person to find and install a driver on their own...or would I have to somehow find out a driver for what they use....then, basically redo the App Builder Installer build...to include that driver with the executable I send back out?
I guess I basically need a better understanding of how drivers for external access/communications are handled when you use App Builder to create a stand alone application complete with the labview runtime engine...and nothing else.
    Thank you in advance,
    cayenne

The main thing is that LV uses VISA to talk to serial port whether native on the machine or from USB dongles that you plug into the computer. It sounds to me like their dongles aren't working.
Can the customer see the ports in the Windows Device Manager? Can they access them through something like hyperterminal? How does your program find the USB/Serial devices?
