Is there a workaround to fix the notes imap prefix issue

Hi,
It is not possible to set the imap prefix for notes on mountain lion. Now there is an inconsistency between my ipad and macbook. iPad is using [Gmail]/Notes and Macbook uses Notes. So my notes are not syncing correctly. Is there a workaround to fix this? I don't want to remove the prefix from my iphone as I want to keep my clean folder layout.

Here is the problem.
Let's say you have a window that's sized to, say, 400x300, and you want to grab that window. You hit SHIFT-CMD-4, then tap SPACE, then click on the window.
Up until OS X 10.5, you would get an image file on your desktop that, when opened, contained a 400x300 graphic of that window.
Starting with 10.5, when you open that image you get an image that's LARGER than 400x300 and contains the window plus the shadow that OS X puts around it, with transparency.
Yes, they look great when you post them in documents with any color background. But that's only useful if you have an actual design-need for a drop shadow. Believe it or not, there are countless instances where a drop shadow is NOT needed or wanted. This means that I have to edit every file to remove the drop shadow which is a waste of time. Before Apple forced the drop shadow, I had the choice of whether to include a drop shadow or not when I work with the file in InDesign, and the drop shadow would work beautifully in any color background.

Note that, as it says in those articles:
iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. I think those contacts still in iphone database. So you can back up you iphone with itunes to get iphone database off your iphone. Then access the SQLite batabse.

This problem has been going on for years and seems to be related to converting pixels to points, or points to pies between operating systems such as Apple / Microsoft. See The age-old outgoing mail font problem
Its a complete pain and beyond me why something SO simple as having the text display correctly between operating systems has not been fixed, especially in this era of technology. Apple should really focus on this and I am amazed that after waiting 4 years since the release of Microsoft Outlook 2011 for the new Microsoft Outlook 2015 that Microsoft have also not fixed this. Its just beyond comprehension and effects both the reputation of people sending emails using these platforms and those organisations that produce the software, and chose to ignore the problem without fixing it. The industry leaders should do just that and lead the way by fixing this basic problem, not burying their heads in the sand and hoping goes away.
Recently I have had to resort to typing the required email text in something like the TextEdit app, copying and pasting it into the Outlook mail body. Its not great, adding extra steps for every email sent and I use my Mac for business so there are many daily email being generated. At least doing it this way all the text is consistent when sent although I'm sure there could be a workflow generated in Automator or an AppleScript that would reduce the steps.

Will there be a fix for the Note 3 signal issues any time soon?

I have a Note 3 and I am absolutely furious at Verizon. I previously had a Galaxy S4 and after an update it basically became useless in my home. It was working just fine then one day it is a brick basically. Verizon knew about the issue as the know about the Note 3 issue and refuse to do anything but pretend nothing is wrong. I got the Note 3 due to the S4 issues, and wouldn't you know, after a month or so the Note 3 is doing the EXACT same thing. Signal was NEVER a problem in my home, but now I drop calls and have very little service 90% of the time.
Does anyone have any advice to me as to how to handle this? My experience at a corporate store consisted of being told I could BUY a network extended.... I already pay for a service I currently don't receive. I don't see why Verizon can't admit to the issue.

I hate to say Me too but "ME TOO" . The last update srewed up our phones and now the new update is out but Verizon wont give it to us... Sprint got it last week!

I'm using RDCMan and it has been using a lot of memory and crashing. With 12 connections it uses 1,548,976 K of memory and crashes with an "Unhandled exception" "Not enough storage is available to process this command. (Exception from
HRESULT: 0x80070008)." I love this program and want to know if there's a way to fix this on my end. It seems like other people are not having this issue. I'm running a fresh install of Win7 Ent. I have .NET 3.51 and 4 installed.

I am experiencing the same sort of problem with RDCman after my laptop installed Windows updates last weekend so it is probably caused by a recent .net framework update, not sure which one it is yet, has to be one of last weeks updates for sure.

Is there any way to fix the window screen grab in 10.5?

For whatever reason, the window capture function (CMD-SHIFT-4, then SPACE) in OS X 10.5 now insists on including the shadow of the window being captured. Given how much documentation I write this is a HUGE setback for me; what used to take a few seconds now takes several minutes since I now have to edit every image in Photoshop to remove the shadow, or use CMD-SHIFT-4 without the SPACE and hope my marquee is accurate.
Is there any way to fix this "improvement" (ahem) in 10.5?

Is there anything that could fix the restoring error 3 in iTunes???

So I just noticed that there seems to be no good way to fix the iTunes restoring error 3. So I decided to try this freezer technique(invented by kennethyoung) to fix it. Many people had succeed with it so why not give it a try. Here is what I came up with. Might look stupid though

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with device errord. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support
Check your USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014, or “invalid response."
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you're still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.

Is there a way to sync the Notes app on my iPod Touch with the Notes on my desktop without using iCloud

I've been reading some of the other threads about this issue, but most, if not all, suggest using iCloud. I'm wary of setting up an iCloud account because I've heard that "once your information is 'in the cloud' it can't be deleted", and I just don't know how true that is.
Is there a way to sync the two apps by some other means that bypasses "the cloud"?

I think that cloud privacy concerns are overdone - especially with Apple who don't have a vested interest in snooping through your data like Google does!
Do you use email? It's stored in the cloud on the providers servers - no matter who the provider is.
Do you use SMS on a phone? They're stored on a server somewhere!
Do you use the internet? The logs are stored at your ISP for some period of time - tracking everywhere you've been.
Thats why I am comfortable to use iCloud for most of my documents. If I want to transfer files very securely, I put them in an encrypted disk image on Dropbox.

Hearing about all of the issues going on is upsetting to me, and so I can only imagine how you're feeling. I'm sorry you have to go through this experience. How hot is the phone getting? Hearing about it overheating is a huge safety concern and I'm worried. Have these service issues been going on since you got the phone?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs. I have previously suggested ways to recover contacts, calendars etc, and other users have confirmed that they work, as such I am making the following suggestions to recover lost notes, but please note, as yet success is unconfirmed ***.
Recovering your notes is quite time consuming, you may wish not to save all your notes to save some time, if they are not of importance.
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Open the 'Notes' app, and open your first note (assuming your deleted notes have now been restored).
Select the share option at the foot of the screen (rectangle with arrow) and choose mail.
Send the email to yourself (If they won't send, save them to draft)
Repeat steps 7 & 8, until you have copied all the notes you wish to save to email.
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and make sure 'Notes' syncing is enabled.
Open the 'Notes' app, check that iCloud notes have reverted to how they were before starting the restore.
Open the 'Mail' app and open the first email you sent yourself and copy the text you want in the note.
Open the 'Notes' app and create a new note in the iCloud, paste the text you copied.
Go to iCloud.com on a computer and check that the note has synced to iCloud.
Repeat steps 12, 13 & 14 until you have recovered all your notes.
May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.
*** As a matter of protocol, anything that I can’t test myself will need to be confirmed by at least 5 individuals before I’m willing to accept it as confirmed. At this time only 2 individuals have confirmed it to work.
