Is there a world clock app like the one on the ipod touch?

On my ipod touch there is a world clock app to see times from selected countries. Is there an Ipad app for world clock?

None that come with the iPad. You can try to look on the App Store.

  • It looks like the ipod touch is a phone,

It looks like the ipod touch is a phone, what if I just want to a device for my daughter to hear music, she wants this can I get it without the wifi and phone?

    I dont agree.
If the 4th or 5th gen. of the iTouch would be having a "Phone" app and a 3G Network, it would be an iPhone.

Get her an iPod Shuffle or Nano.

  • Is there any difference in the size of the same app between the iPod Touch 5G and the iPad Air / Retina iPad mini?

Lets say, Real Racing 3 occupy the same space in the iPod Touch 5G like in the Retina iPad mini or iPad Air?

I think you didn't understand. I meant the size that takes from the flash memory. I hava an iPod Touch 5G and the app was 1.4GB the day that was release.

  • Does the iPhone have a sleep timer like the iPod touch?

  • I have an iPhone and an iPod touch, and whenever i sync my iPhone, all the apps from the iPod Touch are added on it and vice versa. How can I stop this from happening?

Whenever i try and sync my iPhone, I get all the iPod Touch apps on it then have to maually delete them.

I have the same question, but can you clarify something please.  I have about 10 apps showing in the apps section of iTunes - all of which I am happy to have on my iphone - but NOT on the Touch.
    1.  How do I 'delete' the apps wrongly synched to the Touch, and
    2.  For the future, when I download an app. hor do I ensure it is only synched with the iphone and not the Touch.  I have very space left on the Touch and don't want to clutter it with unwanted apps.

  • Will there eventually be an update on the iPod Touch 4g that enables Siri?

I don't have anything to say here

    Short Answer: No
Long Answer: The Apple iPod Touch will never have a update that enables Siri because Siri isn't supported on the iPod Touch 4th Generation becuase it doesn't have enough power to run such a processor intensive add-on and Siri doesn't just run off a client connected to the internet it runs on multiple Siri enabled internet server that the iPod Touch 4g isn't compatible with and most likely never will be.
    Hope this helps.

  • What things use up data on the iPhone 4? Also, what things take up space? Is it just like the iPod touch as far as space goes?

I'm getting an iPhone and I want to know what I am looking for in data usage and space? Let me know?
    Thanks

Anything that uses a network connection will use data, unless a wifi network is available to use (wifi does not count against your cellular 3G data use).  So email, web surfing, streaming video, updating content in news reader apps - anything like that.  Location based services as well, although there are GPS navigation apps that store their maps on the device, so do not need a data connection like the built in maps app (which uses data to fetch the map display data).  TomTom, Garmin and others have apps that include the maps stored on the device, and some, like MotionGPS allow you to cache maps for use later without a data connection.
Pics, video's and music can also all be managed by only syncing what you want for the time being.  As long as you don't mind manipulating the sync settings and sync'ing more frequently, then you can still have a big music or photo library, just not all on the iPhone at one time.  Same goes for eBooks - as long as you don't want to keep a huge library on the device, just sync, read and remove when finished and put the next one on there (and eBooks take up very little space anyway - very compact format for ePub books).
It sounds like 16Gb would be alright for you, but just remember you cannot upgrade the memory later.
Also be aware of data settings.  If you use push email, it will use wifi if available when the phone is awake/active, but in sleep mode it will continue to work, but will use cellular data (since wifi is disabled when the phone enters sleep mode).  Manual fetch for email is a better way to control email data use.
If you get unlimited social networking data use, that sounds nice (not an option with any plan I know of in the USA) - just be sure they explain it clearly (i.e. is it tied to a particular app. or only via web connections to sites - in other words how do you use it to ensure it falls into the unlimited bucket and not crosses over into your limited general data bucket).
    Enjoy!

  • Can I put my custom developed Apps on the iPod touch?

I am a software developer considering getting an iPod Touch device to develop App for that device and the iPhone.
For testing purposes, what path would I take to move my test App from my Mac to the iPod?

  • How do I get an app into the ipod touch?

I downloaded the ibooks app and it's in my itunes application library. I've synched several times, but the application is not being installed on my ipod touch (2nd generation, ios4.2). What do I need to do to get this installed?

In the Apps pane for the iPod in iTunes do  you have the iBooks app checked so it will sync to the iPod?
Yu can also redownload the app directly to the iPod via the Store app.

  • Is there a cap lock function on the iPod touch?

Is there a cap lock function on the i-pod touch? I don't see a way to do it.

    Hello mdgm,
First ensure that Caps Lock is enabled by going to *Settings > General > Keyboard > Enable Caps Lock*.
When this feature is enabled, you can then use Caps Lock by double-tapping the Shift key on the keyboard.

  • Will there ever be an update to the iPod touch

I would really like a new iPod touch, but not one that is already 2-3 years old right out of the box!

Hey Vle045, It's not looking to good for an iPod 6, this wouldn't be the first time Apple let a model quietly fade away. But I could be wrong. The current iPod model is the now dated iPod 5, as you well know. Apple appears to be sinking it's time and money into iPhones and iPads. I guess if you want the latest and greatest look at the phones and the new iPads. It could be a long wait for a new iPod. Hope this helps, Cheers.

  • Anyone here use the nike+ running app with the ipod touch?

i just got the new ipod touch 5g and wanted to get the nike+ running app because it's free, the alternate would be nike+ sensor is $20 extra.
    so i wanted to know:
    1. how accurate the nike+ running app is in term of recording distance? since i don't have the iphone i wont be able to use the gps function and im not sure if that'll be affecting the distance measurement.
    2. how accurate is the speed tracker? same as above, since the ipod doesn't have a gps function.
    3. in the setting for the app, what does it mean to reset calibration?

i just used it for the first time. it recorded that i ran for 2.5 miles, i went home and checked an online map and i only actually ran 2.03 miles. if i calibrate it, will my future runs be more accurate? also, what if one day i decide to run at a different pace or i walk a lot more, will this affect the distance recorded?

  • HT5622 I have changed my appleID and password through my laptop.  I have then changed it on my iPod Touch in settings. When I try to update my apps on the ipod touch it keeps throwing up the old appleID.  How can I get the iPod Touch to use the new ID?

I have changed my appleID and password through my laptop. I have then changed them in my iPod touch settings in "iTunes & App stores" When I try to update my apps it fails because it wishes to continue to use the previous ID.  What do I have to do to make it accept the new ID?

    Also
If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
