Is there an Acrobat SDK support package to purchase?

Too many issues while using Acrobat SDK, I wonder know if there is an Acrobat SDK support package to purchase.

I started using such service back when Acrobat SDK development seemed like an intractable problem, and I really did not have the time to go through the learning curve. At the time it was called Rent-A-Coder and it was quite good.
They had their grading system, and I often worked with coders who were in the top-10 or top-20 (out of 300,000 coders).
You could search for "Acrobat SDK" or whatever other skill. They were acquired by Freelancer and I am afraid the quality of the service is waaaay down.

ps: I also have -somewhere- a list of higher-end, professional programmers, specific to PDF. It camed from PlanetPDF or a similar site. In any event, after I am about to finish my first complete plugin (the copy half of a copy+paste facility) plus an AcroForms Stamper/Filler on Linux, I feel confident that I will have no need for hired guns. I can roll my own. :-)

Support Package Manager for EBPCRM

Hi,
In CRM/EBP SAP systems there is used special 'Support Package Manager for EBPCRM' to implement Support Packages instead of standard transactions like SPAM/SAINT.
I'm trying to implement more then one Support Package into the system however this is probably not possible. It seems that it is not possible to create import queue with more then one Support Package? Importing SPs one by one is very time consuming task. SO that's why I'm wondering about this special tool.
Do you have similar functionality?

Yes I've put all the SPs into '\usr\sap\trans\Eps\in'. But 'Support Package Manager for EBPCRM' asks me for particular one while I'm going to import it. There is no such an functionality to use queue creation.
BTW: I'm on SAP CRM 4.0 on WIN/MSSQL platform.

CProjects Support Package

Hi Friends,
Can anybody pls inform me the support package levels I have to maintain for all the other related software components (such as SAP_BASIS, SAP_APPL, SAP_BW) in order to work with cProjects 4.0 ? Pls mention it for all the related/dependent components.
Also pls tell me if there is any separate support package for cProjects ? Currently we are using CPRXRPM Release 400 level 0007. This is a common component for both cProjects as well as xRPM.

Regarding the requirements to use cProjects, please see the SAP Note 900310
which includes necessary information about the installation and the link to the cProjects Master Guide (see point 4). In general cProjects 4.0 should be installed only on a CRM 5.0, ECC 6.0 or a SAP NetWeaver 2004s. Due to performance reasons cProjects should be installed on a seperate System.

Question for Acrobat SDK products

I need to develop a VB.NET program to convert PDF to word or excel (or edit PDF contents to new PDF) .
Please advise that what's Acrobat SDK products should I Purchasing and how the pricing, thanks.

The Acrobat SDK is not something you purchase, and it is not a product. Rather it is a set of tools for automating a purchased copy of Acrobat.
Do you need something
- to run for a person who has purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro?
- to run for a person only with the free Adobe Reader?
- to offer services on a server?
- something to sell?
- something else?

Korean Language Support Package required for Reader but not Acrobat?

One of our departments on campus has created a form that is causing some users to get a message prompting them to download the Korean Language Support Package in order to fill in the form fields.
When I originally tested this in Acrobat Pro 9 I didn't get any errors. Another user also reported the issue recently (two this week). So we tested it again, but this time used both Reader 9 and Reader X -- both programs were generating this message to download the language pack. The form appears to be completely in English with no Korean characters. It uses fairly standard fonts and I didn't see any embedding or encoding issues with the fonts.
Aside from having end users download a Korean Language Support Pack to view a PDF that doesn't seem to contain any Korean, are there any other options out there without recreating the form from scratch? Here is a list of the fonts used in the PDF. The only types of encoding are Ansi and Identity-H (which I expanded in the SS above), with the latter fonts being embedded within the PDF.

While our problems differ, my solution may still be relevant.
My culprit was a rogue font in an embedded Visio drawing. I identified and located the font using the "List text using non-embedded fonts" Preflight analysis in Acrobat 9.4 Pro. I checked the encoding of each non-embedded font and discovered that Arial Unicode MS used Korean font encoding (specifically, KSCms-UHC-H). See screenshot below. Doubleclicking on one of the font properties highlighted the offending text in the pdf.
I went to that location in the source file, which happened to be in the first embedded Visio drawing (shown above). I double clicked the drawing, selected all, and selected Arial font. Then I regenerated the pdf and viewed it in Reader X. The Korean language pack error message did not appear and all Visio drawings displayed normally.
I would recommend using the Acrobat preflight tools to locate text or objects with incorrect font encoding within your PDF or form, then surgically striking (or carpet bombing) the affected location(s) in the source files with embedded/supported fonts.

Will Acrobat SDK 9 contain support for XFA Forms?

(the question applies to Acrobat SDK and Adobe SDK)
I have been following the product differentiation -trying to read between the lines, so to speak, and make predictions- between Acroforms and XFA.
My impression was that Acroforms were on their way out, and that the writing on the wall says: "upgrade to XFA or else!".
Then, I was contacted by the company that distributes Adobe SDK and among other things I was told that XFA is really a third-party product (acquired by Adobe) and hence the Adobe SDKs do not support XFA.
I suppose there is a separate SDK for XFA?

I guess the answer is - it depends ;).
If you are doing desktop-based XFA, then there are certainly parts of the Acrobat SDK that provide information about how to do so. If you are doing server-side, then you want the information about the LiveCycle Developer program and SDKs - since you won't be working with Acrobat in that case.
In addition, details of the XFA language and associated parts (such as FormCalc) are provided in their own set of documentation.

When I try to input in an English PDF, a message showed "An error has occurred that may be fixed by installing the latest version of the Simplified Chinese Language Support package." But I can not find this "package" anywhere? Does anyone has any clue? Thanks in advance.

Actually the windows is Ultimate version and I installed the English language package to convert it into English version Windows. The symptom was improved a little that I can add and delete characters in PDF but still can not "add or edit text box". In addition, every time I try to click the tool "add or edit text box", a message displays "There was a problem reading this document (14)." What does this mean?

My problem is that I need to implement some oss notes to a z program that is a copy of an standard. The z program was created (copied) some years ago.
I need to know the Support Package that we had at that time because I need to check if the prerequisites applies to the Z version.

How to start with Acrobat SDK on Xcode?

I'm a newer with acrobat sdk, does anyone know how to start and give me some commend for good books.

OK, I installed the savage driver package and ran (as root)
X -configure
I took the resulting xorg,conf.new to /etc/X11 as xorg.conf.
When I startx as a user, the laptop screen stays black.
When I run
xdpyinfo
I get
unable to open display ""
When I enable "startkde" in ~/.xinitcr, the KDED configuration dialog comes up, but in a poor resolution.
In a way, X seems to work basically, but I suppose the resolution is at 640*480.
At /var/log/xorg.0.log I can't find any errors (EE), just 3D warnings, which shouldn't bother.
BUT..... it seems the X is taking mode 111 (640*480), but my 14" laptop would like 117 (1024*768).
Can you tell me, where and how I can switch the resolution in X ? I read about the "Displaysize" in the Monitor Section, but I couldn't figure that out. The funny thing is, I have a second laptop running, with 1024*768 (vesa driver), and there is no DisplaySize in its Monitor section, but this machine is running at the correct resolution. Strange.

I went thorugh the documentation but I did not get any help about the vector image support in the pdf and I aslo want to know abot the dpi support in the pdf.

Ok, we can start there - or stop. The Acrobat SDK is for automating
Acrobat. Acrobat must not be installed on a server. So you cannot use
Acrobat.
Adobe have a PDF Library, which can be licensed for server use. But it
does not have any easy HTML to PDF converter.
You might look into LiveCycle PDF Generator, a different application
with a Java API and more, for server use.

Acrobat sdk, not able to run samples, getting a message, unable to start the program

I have downloaded Acrobat sdk XI and tried to run plugin samples in visual studio 2010, It is build successfully but when I try to run the program am getting an error message saying " Unable to start Program 'C:\Users\downloads\sdk110_VI_win\Adobe\acrobatXISdk\Version1\Plugin Support\samples\BasicPlugin\Win32\Debug\BasicPlugin.api'."
Can anybody help me finding out why am getting this message.

How do you run the program?
I need to copy the compiled BasicPlugin.api under Acrobat\plug_ins folder. I can create a subfolder of plug_ins and copy the .api file there. Just one level deep: if I create a subfolder under a subfolder of plug_ins, the .api file will not be found by Acrobat.
Then I need to restart Acrobat and I find the plugin running. In particular, BasicPlugin add a new Acrobat SDK menu and a menu item under it.
If I close Acrobat and go back to Visual Studio, I can push the Debug button which will open Acrobat for me and stop the program execution at any breakpoints I have set in the code.

Where can I get Acrobat SDK for Visual Studio 6.0?

Several years ago, I purchased the Adobe Acrobat SDK for
VS 6.0. It has since been misplaced or deleted.
Where can I obtain another copy?

There are legacy programs out there written in VB 6.0
Unfortunately, my client is not willing to spend the thousands of dollars it would cost for us to convert all that code to .NET
I don't expect Adobe to provide support for the VB 6.0 SDK.

I'm wondering whether the SDK supports or not the Czech and other languages Acrobat's applications with special char. I mean that the AVDocPrintParams has only char parameters. So how can I use the Print function with special char (wchar_t).
For example :
destProfileRepresents the name of the destination profile to use when doing host-based color management.
How can I add this parameters in russian without using the wchar_t ?

That's not at all what I said. I said you can't use a wchar_t in place of a char datatype with the SDK. There are ways of encoding wide data into a multibyte char array. The most common is, as Leonard suggested, encoding as UTF8. See the WideCharToMultiByte method on Windows.

I just want to confirm whether Acrobat X Standard edition supports exporting PDF to DOCX via SDK? and whether my code will work in Standard edition.
Also, want to know whether there are any differences between Pro and Standard editions in terms of SDK support.

I have gone through the feature list of Standard edition on Acrobat site and it mentions that it has feature of exporting it to Word. But since I was not able to find trial version of standard version, I am not able to test the code.
I want to make the decision on buying the edition based on the export to DOCX feature programatically. Hence wanted to confirm.
