Is there an Adobe very good tool to import Apple's Aperture database ?

Hello,
I'm looking for the best way to import a Apple's Aperture whole database Project's Library (with different raws format - Canon 5D Mark II and OMD-5 Olympus) with corrections applied or not to the work copies of photos ? And of course with the pictures as they were photographed ? Aperture creates a work copy with adjustments and "keeps" the original photo. But I'm not sure that there are as many photos and copies. As I know copies are in fact the original photos with adjustments parameters ? I'm not sur of that but if anybody has an answer, it's welcome !
And with an importation, is it possible to maintain the "reverse" of corrections too ? It is possible in Aperture to do so. I can change many parameters and then cancel one or more of them. If I import my Aperture's library with many projects, I wonder if this compatibility is possible ?

Naturally, this does not import EVERYTHING that is in Aperture, some concepts in Aperture simply do not exist in Lightroom, and other Aperture features are approximated by similar Lightroom tools, rather than being an exact match.
I can change many parameters and then cancel one or more of them. If I import my Aperture's library with many projects, I wonder if this compatibility is possible ?
This has nothing to do with importing from Aperture. Yes, in Lightroom, if you set the exposure to +0.5, and then you want to undo it, you simply set the exposure back to zero.

If she has backed up her iPhone she can replace that iPhone and set up the new iPhone from her backup.
You can put the iPhone that went into water into a plastic baggie with either new silica gel packets (preferred) or raw rice and let it sit for 4 - 5 days. After that time remove the phone and connect it to power for at least a half hour. While it is still connected to power reset it by holding down the power and hold button, wait for the Apple logo then let go of the buttons. Might take several tries. If it revives immediately back it up.

Hello again. When I said PSE 12 was an upgrade on CS2, I meant that simply from an informal point of view - and it is: it's better software in most respects. In expert mode, the features and functions are much the same as in the CS2 I had before, but enhanced and slicker. Less 16 bit colour depth and a few other things of course. Unfortunately, as it now transpires, the "few other things" has turned out to include the measuring feature.
Thanks for the work-around - only problem is ... to what Info Panel are you referring when using the line tool? I've looked around but can't see the line length being shown anywhere. Thanks in advance for any light you might be able to cast on it.
Incidentally, I upgraded my written-off Canon D5 MK II with a D6. To me it's an upgrade - it's a much better camera - though by the letter of the law, the strict upgrade path would be to a 5D MK III. One can use the word "upgrade" in this informal (but entirely meaningful) sense, I hope, without being sent to prison!!

Is there a smart paintbucket fill tool in CS5?

I'm an illustrator and happily have just upgraded from CS1 to CS5.
All the new tools are fabulous... but I'm wondering if there's any new tool in photoshop that will fill in an area of a scanned drawing that is defined with broken lines?
All of my drawings have broken lines in them. I know the fill tool is okay at filling in areas completely defined with unbroken lines. But what about a tool that will fill areas that are defined by broken lines?
I was playing around in Illustrator and notice there's a live paint tool that sort of does that... but it seems a bit complicated to have to define paths first.
I remember way back in the late 90's there was an Australian drawing software program (can't recall the name), but it did just what I'm talking about. You could scan in a drawing with lots of broken line areas and the fill tool would make smart guesses and fill color into areas of broken lines. It wasn't perfect, but it would sure save a lot of time if there was a CS tool that could do that.
I know the most painstaking part of making an image is slowly going through to define the color areas by hand. If there was a smart paintbucket tool, that'd really make my day.

I guess we can assume that Adobe has not invented a 'smart fill' paintbucket tool... since I don't see any responses.
I sort of figured out a way to accomplish a smart fill. It's by adding an additional layer with a texture that fills the canvas, and then setting the selection to around 15 or so.
Then the bucket fill will indeed confine the painted area to border the scanned ink lines. But it's very sloppy and inexact.
I am astonished that this tool has not been invented... since I'd assume there are thousands of graphic applications where the painted area needs to be established by the tedious old fashioned method of redrawing what has already been drawn.
Anyhow... any ideas or suggestions welcome. I was trying to convert the scanned photoshop file into Illustrator and then try to establish a map of the main pattern areas. Then it'd be easy to click and color the shapes... hopefully saving hours of time that otherwise I have to do by scratch.
But I'll keep working on it...

This is what I need... is there an Adobe product that is well suited for me?

My task is to open existing pdf's (usually the source is a scanned document or a converted word doc) label parts of the document with numbers and somehow indicated the paragraph of text each number applies to. I need these "labels and mark-ups" to be saved with the pdf and also visible when the pdf is printed. I currently use adobe acrobat commenting tools ( text box and line drawing tool) to do this. However I am wondering if another product exist that would have different features that allow me to produce a document that looks more professional. I do not need to edit text, just need to add labels and symbols that would allow the content to be referenced quickly.

Photoshop can import PDF files and you can draw anything you want on them. I'm sure you could make a professional looking result, though it may take more time than you want. You might want to describe a bit more about what you're doing on one of the Photoshop forums and see if people there think it's a good fit.

When ever I launch my safari, it will stay on for about a minute and then quits on me. It has a "safari quit unexpectedly" dialog box with a bunch of codes that I can send a report to apple. im not very good with this kind of thing, plz help!

Im not very good at troubleshooting, but I have played around with the system preferences. My airport connection is fine as well as the ethernet. Firewall says its not connected, (im not sure if that matters or not?)
I have subtracted my network from the list, restarted, and then put it back and and restarted...nothing seems to be working. Iam in the middle of a correspondace course and i really need my internet back...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

Removing the "Disabled" will erase the iPad. If you have important files on an iPad you should backup frequently.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

As per your question – follow this link http://www.adobe.com/products/adobe-media-server-family.html, download and install AMS Starter, then inside \tools\f4fpackager you’d find the F4F packager command-line application.

I use itunes on a Dell XPS502 with W7/64. In some cases have have problems to import CD's. The sound is very disturbed and the import need a lot more time than in normal cases. Is there a problem between itunes W7/64 or a known hardware issue?

Example-CD : "Tracy Chapman , Telling stories" is not able to import . I have more such negative cases. But in other cases it works fine and the sound is great.
The firmware at the inbuild CD/DVD DS-6E2SH is the latest version.

I don't no about virtuel drives like you mententioned. In the mean time I have rebooted the XPS and run again the iTunes diagnostics. I think the back - chance in the registry was not ready to use. Now there are another results. They are the same in case of a running CD or a not running CD. The difference in total is like before. It takes more time that iTunes reads the (bad) CD and at the there is no good sound. In both cases ( running or not running CD) iTunes diagnostics gives as a result :

Is Edge a good tool to build math/science simulations

We are building math and science simulations for dept of Edu and wonder if Edge will be a good tool for us or not. Our simulations include creating graphs from math formulas, or draw a sine wave by following a fixed point on a rotating circle, or depict a law of action-reaction in physics. And most of our simulation require pixel drawing. In Flash it's easy to draw the and create any object path. but don't know how to do that with Edge.

Hi, folks-
Right now, there is no way to do custom motion path animation natively in Edge Animate. As resdesign mentioned, you can use Canvas as an external tag, though there are certainly things you can do with linear motion as a part of educational material.
