Is there an app to remotely access an ipad?

We would like to remotely support employees using their iPad 2 travelling.
Is there an app that enables our technical support to access a remote iPad 2, either from an desktop PC (Windows) or from another iPad? It probably would be enough if we could see what is happeing on the iPads screen, but it would be even better, if we could control the remote iPad, too.
Note: we are not loooking for a way to access a PC from an iPad - it's the other way around what we need.

At this point, no. As I understand it, the nature of the iPad operating system would make this tricky - except for a few apps that can run in the background (ie playing music) it's not true multitasking. Instead, most apps go into a hibernation/freeze when you switch to another app, so one couldn't use the remote control app to control anything outside of the app itself. The only app I've seen that comes close (http://mysyncpad.com/) allows control within that app only - once the iPad user leaves the app, the connection is gone.

  • Is there a way of remote accessing 'Games and More' on a mobile?

I am new to the forum, please excuse me if I am in the wrong space!
Is there a way of remotely accessing/executing Java applications that are residing in the 'Games and More.' folder on a mobile device?
e.g. Java application is downloaded into 'Games and More' and there is a requirement to execute the program from an ODP (On-Device-Portal). The ODP is external to the 'Games and More' folder but within the same mobile device.
    Many thanks

  • My family owns an Apple Airport router, and my question is that is there a were to remotely access the router and turn it off and on? Thanks

My family owns an Apple Airport router, and my question is that is there a were to remotely access the router and turn it off and on? Thanks

Richard's suggestion will turn off and turn on the wireless function on your Mac computer......but.....it will not do anything as far as turning your Apple AirPort router on and off.......which seems to be the question that you are asking above.
If this is the question that you are asking, it is not possible to power the Apple router on and off from either a local or remote location.

  • Is there a way to remotely control my iPad 2 using my iPhone?

I use my iPad in my car to entertain my child while driving and I would like to know if there is a way to change the movie he is watching (in the backseat) using my iPhone while I am sitting in the front seat?  I think it would be great if I don't have to physically remove the iPad from its headrest mount to change to a different show.

A google search produced nothing in the App Store which will let your iPhone remotely control an iPad's video play.

  • Is there an app that sends photos from iPad to specific folders on your computer?

    Hello,
Sometimes I have screenshots of websites or other saved images on my iPad 2. What I do now is sync my iPad to my iMac once in a while and rename the photos on my computer, after which I place the photos in their respective folders. I was wondering if there's a way for me to transfer my photos from my iPad to specific folders on my iMac wirelessly. For example, if I have a picture of a flower on my iPad, could I transfer the photo wirelessly to my computer and have the photo put in a folder named "Flower" on my iMac?
    Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are apps that allow you to select and transfer photos from your iPad to your computer via wifi, but I'm not aware of any that have that type of control over where they go to on your computer e.g. Simple Transfer (which also has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer)

Is there a way I can transfer documents, pdf, work, power point,.wav, mp3 files to my ipad just by connecting ipad to my pc usb port. Also, I have the wifi version, So I need the files to open up when there is no internet. Is there such an app. I tried fileapp-didn't work. And dropbox-its doesn't open documents when I have no internet connection. Please help me out.

    There are a number of iTunes alternatives for both Macs and PCs;

You need to look into using your Dropbox account more. You have to actually download the files onto your device instead of leaving it in the cloud. DB is capable of doing that.

  • IPad being remotely accessed?

Hi, I was using my iPad the other night and I was on the Tumblr app. I hadn't touched the screen for over 5 minutes and suddenly, without warning, my screen immediately went to the last post I reblogged and it had my blog in the top left corner. Then, before I could do anything, it went to the post again, but this time the person I reblogged it from was in the top left. And I hadn't touched anything. I was on a separate link entirely. I am really worried that someone may have been remotely accessing my iPad and was looking at my blog? I don't post anything bad, but I do use the home wifi, and my parents are really suspicious regardless. My dad is an IT consultant and has TeamViewer installed and he frequently uses it. Could he have been spying on me? What can I do to stop him? Is there a way to block that from the router or delete the history? Again, I don't do anything bad, but I don't trust my parents as they are extremely nosy.

There is not anything that can be installed on the iPad unless it has been jailbroken or hacked.
The router is a different story, espcially if your father is an IT specialist and has monitoring software.  You will not be able to block him if that is what is being done.  Parents want to know some of what their children are doing and want to protect them.  With stuff going on with the internet today and preditors, they are only looking out for you.  Be thankful your parents care enough to try and keep you safe.
Talk with your parents and tell them your concerns, work with them for a solution you can both live with.

  • Remote Access Via Dial/PSTN - Options Now PVDM's are EOSale'd

I have a number of very remote sites that cost-effectively only PSTN can be provisioned to for land-line comms,
these dial land lines providing back-up to low-bandwidth satellite comms services.
With the end-of-sale of the PVDM modules for routers, i see dial/PSTN remote access functionality
that Cisco offered with the these as now completely unavailable in the whole Cisco product set. Is there any
dial/PSTN Remote Access concentrator functionality hidden away in any of the Cisco products, or is it truly
Cisco cannot supply a device to service my dial requirements ?? Alternatives ??
    thnks
    Martyn

I've no definitive replacement solution as yet.
Most promising kit so far to replace cisco PVDM functions is remanufactured Portmaster PM3.
All the major vendors seem to have pulled out of dial.
Other than than we may have to run point to point radio to these locations
Sat comms also maybe an option open to u

  • How to manage or remote from my ipad to pc.

is there a way to remote from my ipad to my pc...not the way around..
    thanks

Just to be clear you are referring to seeing your PC's screen on your iPad? If this is the case then definitely look into the above apps and search the app store for any vnc client. If it is the other way around (see your iPad screen on your PC) I don't believe this is possible, although your post seemed to refer to the first way.

  • Is there an app or way for multiple users to access contact info?

We are a small business that maintains a contact list of leads and clients in a MS word file. We can access those word files via our iphones, but only view them. Is there an app or way to have one person in the office maintain a database of leads and clients that a few users can access via iphone and simply touch the phone number to call them or touch the address for directions/map?
We know we could each input the info in each of our phones independently, but that is dumb - given someone in the office maintains such info as part of their job and updates it weekly/monthly whatever. Do you see what I mean? I cannot believe there is nothing out there for this.
Basically we are looking for a continuously updatable, multiple user, remotely accessible, interactive contact database with name, address, and phone number. I think that is what I would call it.

I can access phone numbers directly from our client list in word.
And that solves your quest looking for "a continuously updatable, multiple user, remotely accessible, interactive contact database with name, address, and phone number"?
Wow... I never know Microsoft Word could do so much!

  • Will the Apple Digital AV adapter work for the DISH Remote Access app?

I have a Sling adapter hooked up to my 722K DISH receiver, and the DISH Remote Access app installed on an iPad 2. Great app, btw.
What I'd like to know is if I'll be able to use this AV adapter to watch my recorded shows on a TV. Hotel room situation, and I would just like a larger screen every once in a while.
So far, my understanding doing some searches here is that the adapter will work for Netflix, but won't for HBO GO (bummer).
Since I'll be phasing out Netflix soon anyway, and this adapter isn't going to work for HBO GO content, I am just wondering if it will for the Dish Remote Access app before I bother to buy one.
If not, is there something that would be a better choice? I did look at the component and composite cables too, but couldn't quite make up my mind.
    Thanks for any input.

iphone4 dont support mirror so only apps which support the normal tvout will work on iphone4 witht he hdmi out setup

I have another computer that a virus may have taken over and I cannot log into it anymore.  I just downloaded Itunes on a new computer but most of my songs are not on there.  Is there a way to still access or find those songs?  Remotely or another way?  Or do I need to take it to a tech to get my files off of my hard drive?

Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.
For a backup strategy see this User Tip.
