Is there an App which will let me record conversations on an iPhone?

I know there are laws regarding such things, but I am a technical journalist and do it all the time, using an inline recording jack from Radio Shack. And of course, I always do get permission.

It's not an option in the app. As I recall, you can press a key on the phone keypad during the call to start recording. Likewise, you can press another key to transfer the call to another phone linked to your Google Voice number.
From the Google Voice Help pages:
There are different laws that apply to call recording, so check your current state and Federal laws before using this feature. Some states require both parties to consent to any recorded conversation, while other states require one party to consent to the recording.
To assist in the compliance of these laws, we provide an automated verbal announcement to parties on a call when call recording has been initiated and when it's been stopped.
How to record your call:
In order to record your call, simply press 4. You can do it when you first accept a call, or any time after it's started. To stop the recording, press 4 again or hang up.
Your recordings are saved online and you can access them just like you do with voicemail.
Note: at this time you can only record calls you receive on your Google Voice number. You can't record calls you initiate using our Click2Call from our website or the Return Call feature from your voicemail.

It's a DVD on Tai Chi. The error reads nothing more than DVD is unsupported. My version of macbook is 10.4.6. I've updateed continualy and there doesn't seem to be a later version of my DVD vesion higher thanFebruary of 2012. Does any of this help?

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

No. There is no FM tuner in the phone. The audio from the TVs in the gym is broadcast over FM radio frequencies, they are not piping it out over the Internet. If there was an app that would let you listen to them, it would be specific to your gym.

Not to worry. When we Copy and Paste within a project, iMovie HD creates a new clip thumbnail for the Timeline/Clips pane, then simply adds a new pointer to the source video. The source material is not duplicated.
When you Copy a clip and Paste a clip to a DIFFERENT project then Yes, the clip's entire source video file is duplicated. (When Copying between projects, be sure to Copy and Paste all the clips together so iMovie duplicates the source files just one time.)
Next time, you might consider setting your iMovie 6 preferences to limit the length of imported clips to 3 minutes — or whatever duration you want. Then each imported clip will have its own source file. When you discard an entire clip its file will be discarded too, shrinking the size of the project.
If you have no need to preserve the clips as clips you could export the project to a Full Quality movie that you import to a new project. Everything will arrive as a single clip, which may be okay here. Then discard your old project. The project will be smaller, containing just the stuff on the Timeline.
If the Timeline contains most of the source material — just split into small clips — there may not be a lot of "extra" material in the project. To get an estimate of how large the Timeline really is, open the "Timeline Movie.mov" that's inside the Cache folder of the project in QuickTime Player. QT Player's Show Movie Info window will show the size of the material it represents.

In researching a subject, I would like to be able to read several pdfs in succession and keep adding to a text document where I keep notes.
I have seen iPad apps that will let you mark up a pdf, but I would like to have one text file that I keep all my typed notes as a compilation on a subject.

Ideally a split screen where you can have see the pdf and your notes at the same time.
It would be even better if you could copy and paste text from pdf into the note.
It would be great if you could copy a figure into the note (as I can do w/ la partial screen capture on my mac laptop)
I welcome your suggestions if you know of any iPad apps that you think would be useful for the above.

Go to settings> general and scroll down to multitasking geastures, turn them on and by swiping with four fingers from the right side of the iPad to the left and back you can switch between apps. I think this is what you need I'm not sure, I hope it helps

No, there are no apps that can do that, as no app would have access to the necessary API's to perform such a task.

OK here is a problem I have with my calender- all the events are added mutible times for each event- at least 4 of each. So how do I get all of these mutiable events down to just one event. Now this also includes hollidays and personel events on the calender from outlook. All this I think happened after sync to Cloud- not sure, could have happened after OS 5 update!!! Now this is on my iPhone 4. Now going to my calender on my home computer in outlook no events or holidays are showing in the outlook my calender. If I go to the icloud calender it has mutiable events and holidays like on my iPhone. Now how do I fix this without causing a problem with my other programs?

Is there a company which will coat my MacBookPro top case black ?

I type with two fingers and must look often at the keyboard.   My three year old Black MacBook is easy on the eyes. Because it's all black, no problem looking at the keyboard.
The MacBookPro has the shiny metal on the top case and around the keys.   Because of retinal fatigue when looking at the KB, one gets afterimages and it's uncomfortable to look at contrasting items. I'm still using only a three year old black Mac Book for this reason.   It's just wrong to have shiny bright metal reflecting in one's face.
Is there a company which will make the metallic top of the MBP be black ?   If not, muliple black electrical tapestrips would be cheap short-term solution.
Any suggestions ?     Because Apple is not contemplating a Black MacBookPro.

You can't use the forums for petitioning and risking getitng deleted or even banned.
If you want to start a pettition, set up a site and tell people about it, if it gets enough attention and it's a problem Apple will likely take a look.

I know how it feels to need something, but you can't expect Apple to create one computer for you or even a thousand people.
It has to be like many tens of thousands of people and then the supplies have to exist etc for Apple to produce something like what you want. Then they also have to thier plans into consideration.
There is considerable choice on the Windows side, Windows 7 isnt' all that bad and it can be modified "skinned" to even look like OS X.
So set up a website and pass your link around, if I see anyone who desires a black MacBook Pro 13" with anti-glare screen I will give them your link and you all can join forces.
But to whine here is only going to get you booted.
