Is there an equally easy function to replace "Column Browser" now that it's deactivated in "On This Device" mode?

I have literally too much music to auto load it to my iPhone. I used to use the column browser while looking on my device to quickly select music to add or delete. Is there an easier way to quickly manage and browse music manually while in "On This Device" mode now that the column browser feature is disabled in this situation?

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but if you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

Is there a quick & easy way to replace an image within an image frame?

Is there a quick and easy way to replace an image in an image frame that is already set up with the proper effects?
In my example, I have a photo grid and just need to replace the photos periodically. Everything is already in place in the grid. I don't want to recreate the grid on the page.
I thought that I could have clicked to get the brown frame for the image and placed a new one, but that didn't work. Or, I could have right clicked and found something like "replace image", but that didn't work.
How can I quickly and easily just click on the image I need to replace and replace it with another one?

There is an easy way to do this. Click on the image you would like to change and then change the fill to the new image. You will see the fill option in the upper left when you have the image you would like to change selected.

Is there any way to get a replacement iPod for one that was stolen?

My iPod was stolen and sold to someone, is there anyway to get a replacement one from apple? I've had it for only about 7 or 8 months. If it's still under protection or whatever can it get replaced or anything? I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything. Anyone know?

Your iPod comes with a 1 year warranty which covers manufacturers defects. Unless you bought some sort of insurance specifically for your iPod or it's covered under your renter's/homeowner's insurance, they only way you're going to get a new one is to buy one. Sorry.

HT3228 I don't see the "Delete from server" option under Incoming Settings on my IPhone4, is there a way to keep it from the server so that I can check emails from multiple devices?.

I'm using IPhone 4 to check emails. Is there a way on the IPhone to setup that the messages would still be on the server so that when I check on my laptops the messages are still there. I can do this setup for multiple laptops but don't know how I can do it for the IPhone.
I got help and setup all the things they told me but the problem is that I did not see the "Delete from server" option under Incoming Settings on my IPhone 4 to select. Is there anything else that I am missing? Thanks

The default for IMAP is that it does NOT delete the email from the server when it pushes the email to a device. Only if you tell a device to tell the server to delete the email, will it actually delete from the server.

Is there an easy way to replace/swap assets?

I output my short from Avid, ran it through Compressor, and made a DVD in DVD Studio Pro.
Now I've done some re-cuts and want to create a DVD of the new version, using the DVD Studio Pro file I used for the last DVD. Is there an easy way in DVD Studio Pro to "relink" the new video assets to replace the old ones in the new version? This would save me from rebuilding the main menu button, redesigning navigation, and recreating chapter marks.
I have found a workaround - Quit DVD Studio Pro, "hide" the old assets in a folder, and then direct DVD Studio Pro to the new assets when it asks where the old assets are located. But I wonder if there is an easier way to do this from inside the program.

Is there an easy way to replace fonts in Photoshop without clicking on each text layer? We just got a new font system, so now our fonts don't match up. Looking for a fast/easy way to replace the fonts like in InDesign or Illustrator.

Actually (You probably can guess what I’m driving at) Scripting could be used to automate such a task, but it would not really be »easy« unless one has some experience in the matter – if text-items contain a mixture of fonts it might even get kind of »complicated«.
Still, depending on the quantity of files to be edited, the OP could try asking in the Scripting Forum if someone might not have a Script for something like this already …

Is there an easy way to replace spry menus with jQuery menu system?

I just learned that Adobe is no longer using spry or that spry does not work on mobile devices. My entire site (built in CS5.5 moved to CS6) is built with 3 different spry menu systems. I have been told about jQuery, and many other menu system options. I work in design view and can copy and paste code, read code etc...but cant write it to save my life. I cannot seen to understsand how a different menu software system will integrate with DW especially when I use design view. My question is, is there an easy way to change my spry menu's? I have 2 spry menu bars, spry tabbed menus on EVERY page and a spry accordian menu that repeats on all pages. I am working with a template I built, so hopefully it is an easy fix.
Any walkthrough help would be greatly appreciated. Below is the code for my template minus the div set up.

Easy way to replace images?

Hi, I am using Pages 09 for a document with some diagrams and different images that I have. I have sized them the way I want. My problem is that I have updated some of these images, changed some colors, text etc in the images, but they are the same size and the same filename. Is there any easy way to replace these old images with the new updated version? Is there some way to re-link them as you can in InDesign?
I tried to just copy an image from Finder, then selecting the old image and pasting, hoping that the size would be adjusted but it did not: the new image was huuuge.

As far as I remember, just replace the old files by the new ones in the document's file.
If it is a flat file, rename it
xxx.pages.zip
double clic to expand it
Now, in both original format you have now a package.
ctrl click its icin > Show Package Contents.
After that, you will see the picture files.
For safe, move the old ones in a folder.
Move the new ones in the package.
Close the package
Double click to open it.
It all worked fine you will see the new pictures.
Maybe one day I will write a script to automate the task.

Lua function to replace metatags in a string?

I'd like a function that, given a string and a LrPhoto, will search and replace tags in the string with metadata from the photo. So, given a string 'The title of this photo is {{title}}', it would return a string where {{title}} has been replaced with the LrPhoto.getRawMetadata('title') (or maybe getFormattedMetadata). I'm sure it's been written more than once. Is there one out there to be shared before I write my own?

I spent the time on this myself and don't know why I bothered asking, it was so simple. Here's what I did. First, a general-purpose function to replace any token in a string with values from a table:
-- replace any string of characters in a string that are surrounded by curly
-- braces (e.g. {foo}) with the value in the table corresponding to 'foo'.
-- will replace all tokens in braces if there are more than one
function DFB.replaceTokens( tokenTable, str )

Then, if you want to do this with a photo's metadata, just pass the table that's returned from getRaw/FormattedMetadata:
line = DFB.replaceTokens( photo:getFormattedMetadata( nil ) , line )
So if line starts out with "my caption is {caption}" and the photo's caption is 'My Photo Caption', the result is "my caption is My Photo Caption".
I use this in a simple templating system that reads an HTML template from a file and does this for each line as it reads/writes it. Works well.

In Oracle simple update statement, what function should I use to update a column with a new value following below rules:
Replace current "0" or NULL with the new value
If there is an existing value, do not update it
DECODE would work in select statement, but this is update ... SET ...

How to count the number of 'True' outputs from an 'Equal?' function?

In my program, I have an 'Equal?' function which returns 'True' whenever x=y. How can I count the number of 'True' and display? I mean, for example, when it say True, the counter should display '1', when it say true next time the counter should display '2', like wise 3, 4.... so on. Can any one help me to do this? Is there any function which conts and display the number of 'true' outcomes?

Is your event structure in a while loop? Then that's where the shift register can go. But for portability a feedback node can be used if the VI is not reentrant.

Hence, is there a "where used" functionality for SEM variables somewhere out there?

Have not seen that functionality before,however I have used the same by creating my own reports.All the variables can be found in the UPC_VAR table.If you are looking for the use of the variables in fox code,use a wild card search with UPC_FORML table in the formula column for %'VARV'%.IF Searching for uses in the conditions field for planning functions , use the table UPC_OPTIOS, column variable.In my case i needed to search the foxcode for variable uses.
