Is there an eta on rein faults or do BT just fob y...

I've had a faulty line for officially about 4 months now since I refuse to let them close this case since its ongoing and not fixed. Unofficially I suspect it's been faulty for about a year as I stopped heavy Internet use a little while before that but started having to reset the HH2 often. 4 months ago i got told i needed a new hub as that was the fault and they managed to charge me for a hh3 and rope me into a new 12 month contract. i don't remember exactly how but i think it was along the lines of, stick with us or go to the dodgy other options available to me and live without internet until then. But i digress. About 2 months ago a BT engineer diagnosed it as a rein issue, great I thought were getting somewhere. A rein engineer was supposed to get sent next. Never arrived just another normal BT eng who checked stuff and couldn't locate the fault. Another call to BT and " yes sir get a rein engineer out to you tomorrow" . Did I mention these engineers come within a 6 hr window each time? so by this point I've spent close to a week just sitting indoors waiting...engineer arrives, and no not a rein engineer, shock horror surprise..BUT he is a half rein engineer. Wtf? Yep he's been trained to tune in a portable radio to certain frequencies that basically show rein as a weird noise from its speaker if present. Low n behold the speaker goes nuts but not within my premises. At last BT acknowledge its a rein fault and I'm told a rein engineer will be sent out to locate the source. That's now done, found at a neighbours and even arranged access apparently. So I was told over a month ago now. I have someone from priority customer care who is handling my case personally yet all I've gotten from them is one excuse after another. Hence the title...so anyone know the answer?

Thanks I've read that article myself. I understand the fault but I don't understand BT's approach to resolving it.
They won't tell me where the fault is other than "a neighbours" because I may go round there and be confrontational or something I was told by one of the engineers. BT can't and won't be held responsible for others actions if they don't tell you where the issue is exactly. So I'm left to the mercy of the rein depts schedule.
After starting this post last I decided to try and work out where the fault is coming from myself if possible and then approach whichever neighbour has faulty equipment and try and resolve the issue. Hell I'd buy them a new Set top box or whatever if it would resolve this.
Anyone know the frequency etc for portable radios to pickup rein? I could try walking around outside in the street when the fault occurs next and get the answer BT refuse me so I can begin dialog with the neighbour in question.
Another question someone maybe able to answer, would this rein fault presumably covering a particular frequency also effect fibre optics from Virgin?
I have the option to switch to them and go to fibre but stuck on copper wire with BT as there's no infinity in my street for the foreseeable future.

    That's where I would begin, too, with
    Repair Disk
    Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
    Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
    Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
    Select First Aid in the Main panel.
    (Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
    Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
    If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
    If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
    If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
    First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.

    Sorry - should have been more specific. As far as I can see, Keynote will only allow me to see the current slide and the next slide on my laptop when I am presenting a slideshow through a projector. But an old version of PowerPoint allowed me to show the current slide....and (adjustable) many more slides ahead (say 10)....so I could simply jump ahead to a 'future' slide and skip several slides in between. Net result being that I was able to matcgh my slides to group discussions rather than stick to a fixed, predetermined slide show.
    As much as it pains me, without this facility - PowerPoint (old verson, not current one) is more useful for me! :-((

    What are you trying to do? If the movie is on your iPad, the cloud icon will not appear next to the movie. You will see the cloud icon next to the movie if you delete it from your iPad and then you can download it again. That is assuming that the movie is eligible for a free download as not every movie can be downloaded again for free.
    This is a screenshot of the purchased tab in iTunes on my iPad. These movies are already on my iPad so there is no cloud icon next to them for another download.
    What I don't understand is for what reason are you trying to access the movie? If you want to watch the movie, it is in the videos app. Maybe that is where I am missing the boat.

    Command (right) - click on the photo and select Fit to Frame in the contextual menu:
    Not all frames in a theme offer that feature but most do.  The spread layout doesn't.

    I found why the original backup file is not showing on iTunes. Becuase it is corrupted.
    All other folders contains Infor.plist, Manifest.mbdb, Manifest.plist and Status plist files.
    But the folder that contains origianal backup files does not have those files above.
    I think the only way I can restore the data is using third party extracting software.
    Do you know anything about that kind of software?

    Although not USB, there are a couple of iPhone/Touch apps that can control the Mac using a wireless network. MobileMouse (free & paid versions) do a great job, as well as Logitech's TouchMouse. Both will allow you to use the touch screen to control the mouse, which essentially gives you the ability to do many things in Logic. I've used them, for example, to begin a recording, which frees me from being near the computer.

    It's A1549 model. Yeah i knew this is US version before i buy this. What i'm confusing now do u think this iphone i bought is a brand new one and why there is a sim card already inside the simcard slot? Even its working smoothly using a network in UAE. Some of my friends bought there US version of iphone but they bought it without simcard inside the sim card slot.

     I noticed that when i try to play some games textures take a while to load. It's especially noticeable in Battlefield 4, when a map loads and i spawn i have to wait like 30 seconds or more for the textures to load. I wouldn't care too much about it but it always took way less time. I think i also noticed it in Witcher 3, some textures just take a really long time to load especially in Novigrad. In Batman Arkham Knight i can notice it too on some street signs and ground textures when i'm flying around. Is there something wrong with my ps4 or am i just being really paranoid?

    Time Machine is nice, but you have very little in terms of ability to verify that your data is all backed up.      I find Time Machine is better for the occasional recovery of previously written data at specific times.  A good backup solution that survives an erase and install (there is no clean install in Mac OS X), is a clone, and preferably TWO clones.    See my FAQ*:

    Time Machine can work as good as a clone, and in fact I once had to rely on it because my hard drive died.  Thankfully it did recover everything.   But I had my clone just in case it didn't work.     Now I feel more comfortable since clones allow you to boot themselves, and thus prove all the important system information got saved, and not just the user data.
    Clones are also easier to import with the migration assistant.
