Is there an "IE tab" tool for Safari?

There are several important financial websites that I need to follow for work that only display and print correctly from IE. Now that IE for Mac is dead [amen], I am wondering if there is a way to emulate IE inside of Safari for those websites that don't display properly in Safari. no, they do not have RSS feeds. Firefox has something like this called IE Tab, but it is only for Windows. Is there anything like this for Mac? Please help! Thanks

I too have heard it's been yanked out of existence and even if it was around I'm pretty sure it won't run on your Intel Mac. Sorry to hear that no other browsers will work. You know maybe some of the posters would have a copy of IE that they could email to you? I would but I don't have a copy anymore...I trashed it! Sorry...
If I can think of any way to help I'll post back...

PS - Maybe you can do what you can to push these websites to fix their compatability issues. For sure it's not realistic to have a site that is not Mac compatible...

It sounds like you are talking about the cloning tool?
Tool looks like this:
Then when selected you can change the size of the brush and using Alt (windows) and Command (Mac) to select your region you want to copy then start to create you cloned image.

Are there any performance benchmark tools for Flash?

I am looking to benchmark Flash on various computers that I use. I was surprised that the performance of Adobe Flash on my Intel i5 computer running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OS and IE 10 was MUCH WORSE than running on a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on an Intel i3 computer running the same browser.
I have tried running both 32-bit IE and 64-bit IE and get the same general bad performance on the 64-bit Windows OS. I would like to find a tool to benchmark these various computers so that I can establish baseline performance while I explore finding a fix Adobe Flash on a 64-bit OS.
Can someone suggest some tools for Flash performance benchmarking? Thank you.

The best advise we can really give you is that both companies offer free trials and you should download them both and see which works best for you. I own Parallels Desktop v6, and VMWare Fusion v3. For me, VMWare s better for some things, but Parallels is better for most. Depending on what you do and how you use your applications your milage may vary.
One other note to keep in mind. Since Apple is looking to release a new OS version in the very near future, you might want to hold-off a bit on our vitualization choice just yet. I would exect that both companies will be working on a new release for support/compatibilty of the new MacOS, so you might want to wait to see if there are any other changes that make you want to lean towards one or the other...

Why is there no Passwords tab in my Safari Mountain Lion Preferences?

I need to remove a stored password from my laptop, but there is no Passwords tab in my Safari Mountain Lion Preferences window. How can I get past this roadblock?

Do you have some other software installed, like a password manager, that is removing the Passwords tab?
Take a look in Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access. Your password may be stored in there. Look in the Login Keychain, Category: Passwords. You can just select the password and delete it.
You could reinstall Safari perhaps to restore the Passwords tab. I don't think you can just download Safari by itself, though. You'd have to reinstall Mountain Lion. Alternatively there's an app called Pacifist that will let you extract the Safari installer package from the ML installer. CharlesSoft — software you always wished someone would write

We are curretly looking at tools available to do impact analysis in Oracle Forms and Reports. This is for the maintainance of a large Oracle application developed using forms and reports 10g. We use Oracle Designer but only to maintain the db structure and not for forms and reports generation. Our intension is to find out the impact of db model changes, stored procedure changes in Oracle Forms and Reports. Please suggest any tools that are currently used for this purpose.
I remember manually maintaining the CRUD matrix for Oracle Forms and Reports for maintainance purpose. CRUD matrix will have the list of all the tables which are affected by the module. But this is a manual activity and hence the responsibility is with the dev team to keep the document updated. Please suggest if there is any alternative to this way which can be more effecient and less error prone...
I also wonder how these are done in Oracle ERP? how the apps team in oracle is maintaining the forms and reports?

Quest (the makers of TOAD) have a tool called SQL Impact which gathers data from forms, reports, triggers, packages etc.
FormsMate is a simple, cheap alternative for comparing or searching in forms.

Alternatively, you can export forms to xml (with iff2xml90.bat) and reports to jsp (with rwconverter) and simply grep those and your sql scripts. There are grep tools for windows if you need.

Firefox crashes for no reason when there is a tab open for MSN.

I use MSN as the first tab on my browser. I can open the browser and work on multiple tabs. But when I leave the browser open for several hours, it's started to crash. I've checked each of my tabs and the only time it crashes is when there is a tab for MSN open. In fact, I closed all the tabs except MSN and the browser crashed.

Sports-Tracker and ViewRanger is actively developed for other platforms. This is important when selecting a Symbian app these days. I use and trust Sports-Tracker since 2011. It can export the tracking result in different file formats for use in other devices and on other websites.

Are there Sensory Accessibility Tools for Safari?

I have sensory processing issues. Obviously these are worse everywhere else, and when trying to go about in public without getting hit with incapacitatingly painful sensory bombardment, but these are still needlessly frustrating on the web. I understand that these are common issues for autistic people, as well as other people with sensory processing disorder, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, Lyme disease, and so on, although I seem to have uncommonly bad issues here.
A lot of websites, including parts of this website, use autoplay, animated gifs, animated backgrounds, etc. What Safari add-ons are available to disable all these things unless and until we want to enable them? Why do web browsers enable autoplay anyway, and why don't they disable it as a basic accessibility feature?

Well and Antivirus software with PARENTAL CONTROL! If you want to have control over what your kids can see and not, that's what you should take a look at.

Anything other than that, including a popup password screen, should be considered suspicious.
Try resetting Safari: go to Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data.
Consider toggling "on" the settings for both Fraudulent Website Warning and Block Pop-ups, if they are not already selected "on".

I need in the first place to burn the subtitles into the image, and then later have subtitles for a DVD.
I'm thinking of a tool where you easy can make a subtitle and have them stay in the same place as the previuos subtitle.
You can of course just duplicate a title and erase the text, but I still find it time consuming. But I might just be picky :-)

No. Please do a search before posting. The pros and cons have been discussed . In the meantime use the conventional paint and clone tools.

Tab key for safari documents

I'm using Google Docs live online and can't find the Tab key on my keyboard. There are a few more I can't find either. I've seen the comments so I know you already know which ones I'm talking about. Can we integrate ALL the features of a normal keyboard into my phone's keyboard please? My partner has a pc-based dinosaur that figured this out. Hook a sister up, I got books to write. Hate to have to switch back to PC based phone, but I will if this hiccup isn't fixed.

Unable to operate tab shortcut keys for safari

I am using Safari 4.0.2.
All is working good except the *Tab shortcuts for safari*.
Problem: Tab shortcuts does not work every time. It works very less time.
*What I did to solve the problems?*
1) Re-Checked the necessary shortcuts in the preferences pane but nothing happened.
2) Re-installed Safari
3) Also did reset to Safari.
I did not understand what has happened to it.
Please help me with it.

A corrupt preference file may be causing the Command T problem, or perhaps you created a keyboard shortcut for Command/T.
If you didn't alter the keyboard shortcuts, trash the preference file.
Via the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. Move the com.apple.safari.plist file to the trash, then restart Safari. This resets Safari preferences to default values. Restore any custom settings in either the Preference panel, Edit Menu (spelling), or View Menu. Also, restore any custom icons on the toolbar via the Customize Toolbar option.
Also, the reset adds Apple default bookmarks to your Bookmarks collection (command/option/B keys). Delete any you don't want.

Tab view in Safari

OK - sorry if this has been asked and answered - can't seem to find it.
Just updated to iOS7 (iPad2) and in Safari - I don't see a menu bar at the bottom of the screen. When I hit the add tab, I do have a menu that appears - but it only has private in the bottom left.
In most of the online demos/texts describing the new iOS7, there is a bottom right button that puts the tabs into 3D and then you can scroll through them etc. I just get the normal flat tab view and no option to view like that because the button/bar is missing.
What am I missing?

I have this issue also. I am on ipad 2 with ios7. It works on my iPhone 5c we also have an ipad mini 2 updated to ios 7 that doesn't show the Rolodex tab view for safari.
Any ideas out there?
