Is there an ITS Mobile Test Server URL available on the Internet anywhere?

All,
I am pretty new to SAP, and have the requirement to prove a connection of my Windows CE5.0 terminal, using Naurtech CETerm 5.5.1. As such I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a test server URL that I could point my device to, to ensure it displays the screens correctly on the QVGA screen?
I am just looking for a test server URL on the web that I can test to. No transactions needed, even something as simple as a lnding page with some graphics would suffice.
Any help is appreciated at this point.

This isn't the best forum for this question (you might get better results posting this to the JBoss coummunity: [http://community.jboss.org|http://community.jboss.org] ) but I think you can accomplish this by putting a dummy jsessionid in the URL (on the first request so that no jsessionid exists) and appending the jvmroute of the instance you want to hit. The jvmroute is what determines which instance mod_jk routes the request to so theoretically this should work.

My network connected for a few hours then went back to timing out. I have not changed anything. However there four additional laptop users in my family who do not seem to be having any problems using their wireless connection. If you have the prepaid 3G account, no. The prepaid service, the kind activated directly from the iPad only works on Verizon's own network. You'd need to change to the month-to-month postpaid service to roam on the extended network. Call customer service about changing it over. You will need to do a credit check but there is no contract.

Mac testing server URL prefix problem

I've searched through a bunch of forum and support topics
with no success so here's a post.
I'm building a site on a Mac using some basic PHP (not
database driven) and would like to be able to preview the files in
a browser. I'm setting up a testing server with PHP/MySQL as the
Server Model, Access as Local/Network, and the location of the site
folder pointed to. My problem is the URL prefix...
I have tried the following URL prefixes and keep getting the
same error message in DW ("Dreamweaver cannot use the prefix you
entered to display live data....HTTP error:0") and a connection
failure in the browser. The following attempts include the name of
my hard drive, my Mac User name, and the name of the folder my site
rests in.

Is there a way to access my iTunes library that's stored on my Mac Mini Server at home over the internet while I'm away on business?

I've done a bit of searching on Google and have come up empty so far and am looking for your help.
Here's my situation:
I have my iTunes media files stored on my NAS on my home network along with my Mac Mini Server with the iTunes library files stored in my Dropbox folder. While I'm at home I can access all of my files without any problems from either my Mac Mini Server or my Macbook Air; however, I recently moved to San Diego for work and would still like to access the media that's on my NAS at home remotely from my Macbook Air so I can sync my iPhone and watch movies.
Is this even possible? If so, how would I go about setting this up?

The sessionstore.js file only exists while Firefox is closed. During shutdown, Firefox writes out that file based (I think) on recovery.js as of that point. When Firefox starts back up again, it reads sessionstore.js and deletes it. So if Firefox is running, it's normal not to see sessionstore.js. Anyway, sessionstore.js is going to be empty now.
Shadow Explorer might already have done this for you, but just in case...
You could try the previous versions feature. This is harder to get to on Windows 8 and 8.1, but I have read about a roundabout way. I can't test this myself, but here's what you do:
Let's say you have a Windows Explorer window open to your current Firefox profile folder. This is something like (with your username and semi-random profile folder name):

Click in the address bar and change the C: to
\\localhost\c$
to yield (with your username and semi-random profile folder name)

Press Enter to reload the folder contents that way.
Now when you right-click recovery.js, recovery.bak, backup.js or sessionstore.js and choose Properties, there should be a Previous Versions tab. Usually the most recent previous version dates back to the last time Windows created a restore point (e.g., system update or possibly scheduled on a more frequent basis).

Through my iCal calendar I decided to share my entries with my husband and I thought I was doing everything that was prompted of me to do but not only can I not find "us" or the URL address in the internet but I no longer have ANY CALENDAR ENTRIES!grrrrr

I decided to "share" calendars with my husband and in doing so I have lost my appointments and can't find the URL or http:// blah,blah anywhere. I looked through my Time Capsule and of course nothing is there (it shows what exists now in the calendar which is nothing), I looked in iCloud and I don't know how to retrieve my stuff. Thank you in advance for your help. I really don't like these things because I am not very good at them. What I would think is simple every time becomes a huge mess and wasted life.

As iCloud does not have your calendars we have two options:
Contact Apple ASAP and ask them to see if they have a backup copy of your calendar data which they can restore from the server to iCloud. It's not Apple's responsibility to maintain backups of your data but most servers have a backup of some type. The challenge is that those backups probably get refreshed fairly quickly so you need to contact them fast so they can put a request in to whoever manages the iCloud servers (it might not be possible but its worth asking). http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
Something you can do right now:If you have a Time Capsule that suggests you are running Time Machine which backs up your entire computer (else why have a Time Capsule).
Make an iCal backup of what you still have: Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
Go to Calendars > Go Offline
Go to iCal > Quit iCal
Quit all open applications
Click anywhere on your desktop
Go to the "Go" menu at the top of the screen and hold down the "option / alt" key on your keyboard.
Click on the "library" option in the menu.
While in the Library go to the Time Machine menu at the top right corner of your computer screen (Little clock face with an arrow going around it in a circle) and click "Enter Time Machine".
In Time Machine click on the the time line running down the right hand side of the screen to choose a date / time when you are 100% confident that iCal had the events you are looking for.
Once you've gone to the date you want, highlight the "Calendars" folder in the Library window.
Click the button that says "restore" in the bottom right.
Once the restore is complete, open iCal and see if your events are there.
If the events are there, Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to your desktop.
If the events are not there, go back into Time Machine and try an earlier date.
Once the calendars are restored to iCal and you've exported a copy out, go to Calendars > Go online
If the events vanish you can re-import them from the copies you exported to the desktop.

Networked Macs see Windows server, but suddenly not the internet

My girlfriend works at a small business running about 10 PCs and a Windows server. Also on the network are about 15 VOIP telephones. She's had an emac on the network working fine for a few months. It was connecting to the server and the to the internet. Then one day, no more internet. (None of the PCs are experiencing this problem.) Coincidentally, the next day a new Mini arrived. We set it up (to 10.4.3) and it saw the server, it saw the internet. Everything was beautiful and then poof. No more internet. It was working when she left work, it even received POP mail between her leaving last night and coming in this morning.
(I don't think this is the culprit, but it's worth mentioning that first thing this morning, she installed Microsoft Office. After she installed Office, the internet no longer worked. She didn't check her internet connection before installing the new software, but I suspect this is not a related issue. The emac does not have Office installed at all.)
The macs have been restarted and put to sleep and then woken up. All of the PCs get their internet connection after routing through the VOIP phones and so do the macs. We've taken the phone out of the equation, but still no luck.
Sorry this is such a vague description of the problem, but I don't know so much about inter-platform networking, so I'm not sure what to look for. And I don't know anything about TCP/IP or other networking protocols, so if there are any clues in the packets, I wouldn't see them. The most puzzling thing here is that it was working fine, and after seemingly nothing has changed, now it's not.

It looks like your getting an address okay. Have you tried out a variety of applications to see if it only happens on certain ones? (eg, web browser but not iTunes) If it's okay to run that at work, anyway
Some explanations of the gibberish below:
en0: That's the short name for your network card. If you have multiple cards or other manufacturers this can be different but it's fairly standard. There will also be another device called lo0 displayed usually. This is called a loopback device and points to you machine. It will have the address 127.0.0.1 It's a good way to test servers or other things running on your machine, by connecting to that address. It's not really useful in this case, but knowledge is power
The flags indicate what the status of the network card is. It's up, and running normally for most networks. The mtu setting indicates the size of packets of data transmitted by your network card. 1500 is fairly common, but some networks or ISPs may note a smaller size in their support pages. If no one has been monkeying with your network recently, assume this is okay.
inet6 is support for the eventual switch to a better internet addressing standard. nothing to worry about here.
inet 192.168.50.54 is you address on the local network. So you're getting an IP at least. If a Windows machine on the network has taken that address as well, that can cause problems. It shouldn't happen, but it does occasionally. The windows box will typically spit up a warning dialog on the screen pretty quickly if that happens. I haven't run into it on my mini yet so I'm not sure if Internet Connect will pop up the icon with the lightning symbol or nor.
The netmask is a hexidecimal number showing the range or "scope" that your subnet (the area of the network you're in) occupies. FFFFFF80 is equal to 255.255.255.128. In this case it means that your subnet is restricted to a range of 127 addresses. If your address and the address of your internet gateway weren't in that range together you'd have a problem, because they wouldn't recognize each other as being part of the same subnet.
But the broadcast address would indicate that they are. Both fit within the range of 192.168.50.1 and 192.168.50.127
If those machines couldn't see each other then instead of your 192.168.x.x address, you'd see the 169.x.x.x address I mentioned, and would be off the network.
So, now that you've been bombarded with all that, it looks like you're okay on the local network so now the task is finding out why you can't see out.
Try a few different apps and see if they succeed, like running the software update, etc. If they work, then it's possible your browsers may need to be configured to use a proxy server to get to the net. That's a lesson for later

The following should give you enough to search for discussions, as well as some general details of IP network gizmos and boxes: You'll need an ISP tier of service that allows remote access and preferably with a static IP address (static versus dynamic IP). This as various ISPs prohibit server-oriented protocols such as HTTP TCP port 80 traffic, and some firewall server-oriented ports. You'll then either need to use either dynamic DNS with your public dynamic IP — this is the hacking-around and not-really-for-production approach — or static IP with traditional DNS, and you'll also need to enable what's called port forwarding (sometimes also called virtual server) through your gateway-firewall-NAT device and into your server for TCP port 80 and possibly also TCP port 443. This port forwarding gets the incoming connections from the 'net into your public IP address (static or dynamic) mapped through to your NAT'd IP address space and your private IP address for your server.
As the first part of getting any of this to work with OS X Server, launch Terminal.app on the server and issue the following harmless diagnostic command:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
This checks for common errors in the local DNS setup, and broken networking and broken DNS tends to cause other errors elsewhere in the environment. You'll need to enter an administrative password for the sudo, you might get a one-time informational message from the sudo, and you'll then get some configuration details and then an indication that DNS and local networking needs no changes, or that there are configuration issues.

Is there a similar app to Ring Scheduler available for the iPhone?

I currently use a Droid, and I am NOT happy with it overall. However, the reason I chose a Droid over the iPhone is because of one application not available for the iPhone, but available for Droids. That application is "Ring Scheduler." (RS) With RS you can select times at which your phone's ringer will automatically silence itself. Additionally and MOST importantely, you can add contacts to an exceptions list so that when these contacts call during silence time the phone will ring.
For example, I have my silence times set from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. I have my parents in the exceptions list, so if they call at 2:00 a.m. with an emergency, my phone will ring. My buddy John, however, who may drunk dial me at 3:00 a.m. will not wake me since the phone is silenced and he is not on the exceptions list. I also own a business with 70+ employees who tend to call at any hour of the day/night. I don't need to be woken up at 2:30 a.m. from John Doe who is calling out for the day, but if my aunt has an emergency, since she is on the exceptions list, the phone will ring.
Is there a functionality within the phone, or is there a similar application avaialble for the iPhone? I have asked at the Verizon dealers, but I've never gotten a straight answer. My Droid is nearing its end and I'd like to replace with an iPhone, but because my family is older and I have numerous people who call at any hour I NEED this application. Please advise!

Should my DNS server be talking to the internet?

I have the DNS service running on my OSX server in order to use Open Directory and server-based home folders. To use these server-based home folders I have to put the IP address of the server in the "DNS Server" entry on all the machines in Network Preferences.
Because the workstations here would seem to be going to the file server for DNS, do I need to open ports on my router or something so that the server can provide this info? I'm having some weird email issues with emails not arriving in a timely manner (inter-office via the internet, some arrive days late) and slow response times in Safari (page takes a while to start loading, and then loads very quickly once server found) so I'm wondering if this is what's causing it.

If you only use your own DNS on both server and LAN clients (you should with your setup of using the same domainname internally - a bit "ugly" but it works) you need to also setup any external services IP numbers such as any mail and web servers (and others).
It wasn't me who set it up like this, but I'm stuck with it! What do you mean when you say to "setup any external services IP numbers"? DO you mean I need to tell the server where to find the mail server so that it finds it more easily? Where do I put them? And would it just be the mail server address, i.e. I assume I don't need to put in every website we want to access? No, that would be silly... but then... who knows.
I would add forwarders (your ISP DNSes) to /etc/named.conf and turn off IPv6.
In theory I know about these unix style text files, but do I need to be logged in as root to see them? I can't see the /etc directory and searching for named.conf brings up nothing. Also, I turned off IPv6 on the server and shortly after someone with a server based home folder got a message sayiing that they'd lost connection to all the mounted volumes on that server with "disconnect all". Turning IPv6 back on made that message go away so I don't want to play with that again for the time being!
Is there a way to set these things up without resorting to editing text files? I'm an old-skool mac user and so it's a bit scary. I should have made that clear from the beginning. Thanks!

Accessing a local server web service over the internet

Hi Alain,
Browsing the public IP from a remote location to the site, so its over the internet.
Not sure I understand what you refer to as SVI, could this be the VLAN? If it is, then I can say it is up because I can ping the server which is on this VLAN from within the router when I log into it. Also, when I am within the LAN, I am able to browse to the local IP on the server.
I suspect some firewall or access list issue may be preventing something...
