Is there an offline version of the Help Handbook?
In order for our students to become familiar with the changes to the latest Reader, we will direct them to the Help/Handbook section. However, our wifi is not always reliable and therefore need an offline version of the Help/Handbook. In previous versions of the Reader there was a Getting Started file that we were able to keep on our devices and help lead our students around the app. Something like the Getting Started file would be very helpful.

I can't get my iMac to accept a CD/DVD disc. It acts like there's already one in there but there isn't. Tried the help menu but nothing worked.Suggestions?
Thank you, Allen. My iMac is a 2009. I can't shine a light into the disc drive slot as it has a built in whisker cover that prevents anything from getting in. It will accept a disc half way in before the disc reaches a springy obstruction.
About 3 weeks ago, the computer locked up so I inserted the OS disc and reinstalled it. In general, the computer works just like it used to but we've had a few quirks appear; for example, this is one of them. Also, we can't figure out how to keep from having to sign-in when we turn the computer on. Also, we can't access our one on-line account anymore. Very strange.

I have just reformatted my drive and reinstalled creative cloud and lightroom. When i open it, it says there is another version running the catalog and i have to switch to it to fix the problem, but there is no other version on my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Where did you put the LR catalog?
Did you install the same version of LR, which one?
OS and version?
Open the folder where the catalog (*.lrcat) is located. If you see a file with lock in it while LR is not running, delete it.
Now try to start LR again. -
Does the Airport Extreme support HP cp1025? There are two versions of the printer the cp1025 and cp1025nw. I have the cp1025, and can't set it up.
Is there a list of AE/bonjour supported printers?Bonjour is a transport protocol. It also provides a means of advertising a printer on a network.
Any list that shows printers that support Bonjour is generally an indication that the printer itself supports this protocol, meaning that when it is connected to the network, you can see it in your default Add Printer browser. In the case of the Airport, it also supports the Bonjour protocol and will advertise any printer that is connected to its USB port. The printer itself does not have to support Bonjour. The Airport performs this function. And like many lists, they are not kept up to date because each vendor releases several new models every quarter or half year.
There are definitely printers that don't work when connected to the USB port of the Airport. And this is more that the printer driver does not support this type of connection, mainly due to the port not supporting bidirectional communications which some printer drivers require. The Canon UFR2 and CAPT drivers are a good example of this limitation. But this is only the Mac drivers. The Windows equivalent drivers work fine when the printer is connected to the USB port.
So with you having an issue with the Windows drivers then I don't think it is a case of them not supporting Bonjour but more to do with some other component not functioning when the printer is shared by the Airport. The error message appears to have more to do with local user rights which is probably driver related. I've seen some printers that you cannot use the Windows Add Printer wizard to add them. Instead you have to use the vendors utility because of some proprietary protocol being used. Maybe this is one of those?
Now that you seen how it should work based on when you used the C3188, if you still get that error message at point 6 of adding the C1025 then it would suggest a driver compatibility issue with the Airport - which is not necessarily a Bonjour compatibility issue. So unless there was another model of HP printer driver that you could use to this C1025 and that was also compatible with the USB port of the Airport Extreme, then I would suggest your best action is to replace the printer with a model that does work. Maybe even one that has builtin wireless so you don't have to use the USB port of the Airport. -
when I sync my iphone it says that there is newer version of the software but when I click the 'update' button I am told that 'itunes' is the latest version? There seem to be a few apps that are not compatible with my phone and I am wondering if that is because it is not up to date or beacuse it is a 3gs?

I recommend no less than 2GB's of RAM. There is no download for SL, you must purchase from Apple, $29 at any Apple store. Leopard is no longer sold by Apple. About the only place you can find a retail disk is eBay, however the prices are getting ridiculous. -

I am using the CS3 trial right now, i was able to download and install the 8.02-patch but AE behaves exactly the same as before, p2-footage(mxf/xml-files) is not recognized as a valid format!
Can anybody help me on this?
Id really like to test this until my trial expires in 5 days...this workflow with native p2 and AAF import is really important to my workflow..whis will make my decission over upgrading to CS3 or not..so please help!

Why is there no English version of the book Crux by Ramez Naam?
The book was originally written in English. There are icons for the English, Polish and German language versions of the book, However, the icon for the English book is actually the polish language book. The icons for the Polish and German versions of the book point correctly. Only the English icon seems to be messed up.
Nobody in these forums will have the answer for you. Try contacting the publisher of the book about the problem. You might want to consider getting it from another store (like Amazon, Nook, Kobo, Google, Sony), which also has a free ereader app.

Is there a Firefox version for the IPAD2?
Various sites tout its availability but when I click on the download icon it sends me to App Store which says it is not available in the US.
There is no version of Firefox for iOS due to Apple restrictions. Apple does not allow competing browser engines on their iOS devices.

How to get an offline version of the API documentation?
Well, thats the question. I want to have the API documetatio like in this link: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/api/overview-summary.html , but I want it all and offline. Is there a Help file I can download somewhere where the API is documented?

Is there a web version of the list of apps featured in the iTunes App Store?
I like seeing the apps that Apple features in their App Store, like their Collections, or Best of 2013, or their category lists (like "Get in Shape" for the Health category). However, I think the store is a little clunky and I just want to quickly browse latest apps.Is there a web-based version of these lists or are they listed on Apple's website anywhere?
The only Apple sites that I know of are less useful than using iTunes itself (or Mac App Store if you are referring to Mac Apps), they only list apps alphabetically or by popularity :

Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be too busy.. What?
