Is there an order in which i should learn the CC/CS applications? Does it help in a certain order?

I'm new to all CS applications, though I'm familiar wit the concepts. I just bought CC and want to start teaching myself how to use each app (primary end goal being photoshop, illustrator, and inDesign). is there an order in which i should learn the apps that makes it easier to comprehend it and others?

Personally, I think they are all unique enough in their own right that the order wouldn't really matter. I'm biased towards Photoshop. You might want to spend time going through the content here:

Hi All, I recently bought a Mac Book Pro and transferred all my photos from my hard drive onto the Mac. I realised that there were some folders which didn't have the camera information embedded in the files and these files refuse to open on iPhoto. I know that the folders that have the problem were not transferred to the hard drive via a photo transfer application (I have a Canon camera) but I simply copied them out of the photo card and onto my old PC.
Is there some way I can open these pictures on my Mac? They work fine on a PC.

The files don't open in preview either. In preview I get the error message 'The file "xxxx_xxx.jpg" could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognize'. The folders with these un-openable pictures do not even get imported into iPhoto. When I try to import them I get an error message about the files being unreadable.
The color profile information on the un-openable files is not visible but I see that all the other files from my old drive are RGB.

Good idea. I've already used the feedback for my general suggestions to improve the way Apple handles bug reports (and tried sending it to Steve Jobs too), but I'll send a specific suggestion for a bug app on the iPhone.

You can check out Tomcat memory usage using Tomcat Manger
and clicking server status.

Restoring the iPhone will reload its firmware.
Plug the iPhone into (the current version of) iTunes on your computer.
Let it sync. Then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary page in iTunes.

Hello, if your install disk is locked (I assume with FileVault) there is no way to change the password. If it weren't locked there were at least two solutions. As far as I know, the only solutions now are:
- contact your dad
- erase and reinstall the OS X clean

I have a Power Mac G4 AGP, originally with 350mhz, but i upgraded the processor card to 1.2 Ghz. and I also have 1.31Gb of RAM. I need to upgrade the Hard Drive storage now I have a 40gig and an 80gig. i just purchased a Western Digital 250GB and a ACARD AEC-6280M PCI IDE Controller Card. My question is should i have the master drive on the 250gig drive or the 80gig or the 40 gig drive, does it matter how big the drive is, currently it is on the 40 gig drive. So the 40 and 80 that are currently on the G4 are UATA? and the new 250 gig is being accessed by the pci ata card, is there a difference? would the 250gig drive be faster?

Regarding partitioning... consider the drives/volumes that you have, what you're using each of them for, and how you intend to backup/protect the data on each of them in case of a drive failure on any one of them. If partitioning will help to assure the safety of your data by configuring additional partitions/volumes to accomplish this, then go for it. If you already have a backup strategy in place that covers what's important to you on the three drives, and you decide that perhaps a spare volume is unnecessary, then run the drive as a single volume to get the most out of it.
If you do partition, the most common mistakes are to create too many partitions, and/or to create partitions which are too small to be effectively used, both of which waste drive space.
For example, if you now have, say, 30GB on your startup drive, and create a partition of 40 GB on a new drive to use as your new startup drive, you'll have a volume with 30GB of data and 25% free space for the OS to operate with. A year from now, the 30GB might be 35GB and the free space will decrease to 12.5%. At that point, you'll be concerned about a volume that's getting full again and perhaps wondering why you can't burn an iDVD project... Keep in mind that once you partition and load data onto one or more of the partitioned volumes, you must move the data from those volumes to repartition the drive, since safe repartitioning requires that the entire drive be erased in the process, or that a backup be done if a software-based, on-the-fly repartition is done. Thus, it's better to err on the "too-large" side than the "too-small" side...
For whatever it's worth, I selectively use partitioning when it suits my needs. I also have spare volumes/drives available for flexibility in moving large amounts of data or entire systems from one volume or drive to another. My six year old daughter and her friends can play all they want on my Macs and I don't have to worry about them deleting the System Folder or trashing my iTunes... The point is, you might give this some thought to make best use of your newly-acquired space and provide for backup.

I just bough cc for a year and I can not download anything. It always says there is an error and I should contact the support team. What I tried: went to

I erased in the hostfile the files that blocked adobe. Before I could not log in to adobe at all. Before that I had a CC test version which ran off.

That list includes all the apps that you installed to your device directly from iTunes on the computer, or which were purchased on the iOS device and subsequently transferred to iTunes on the computer.
If you right click on any item in that list and choose "Show in Windows Explorer" it will open your iTunes application installer directory on your computer, which should be:
C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
In there are all your saved application installers (*.ipa files). You need to delete those actual installer bundles and then make sure to NOT allow the "transfer purchased content" when you sync or backup in iTunes (as that will just put them back on your hard drive).
One caveat to removing those, is that if you ever wish to keep a specific release of a particular app, and the developer replaces the iTunes/App store version with something else, your sole source for your older version will be your own stored copy of it. So for example, when PDF expert released their iOS 7 update, and charged everyone full price for it, if you wished to keep using the previous version on your own devices, then you needed to keep a copy of the installer on your own computer as that older version is no longer available in the store front.

Want to transfer from old computer to new computer and discontinue using old computer. Which computer should be the main computer in the setup? Or should I transfer bookmarks and settings by another method instead of using sync?

Have a computer which I will need to retire (bad hard drive), 32 bit OS. Have new computer 64 bit OS. Both computers have Firefox 5. Old machine on Windows 2000, new one on Windows 7. Old computer has all the bookmarks and settings that I need for the new computer. Also have Zotero on the old computer and would like to transfer it to the new computer. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Regarding bookmarks, settings and history, Firefox Sync can definitively help even if it's not it's primary goal. You would need to transfer your Zotero configuration manually though.
In order to transfer your data using Sync follow this instructions making your new computer the primary device: [[How to sync Firefox settings between computers]].
Once everything is set up make sure that you have all the information in the new computer. After it, you should be able to retire your old computer without any issue. Remember, that if you remove the bookmarks before disconnecting your old computer they would be removed from your Sync account too.

Does anybody know of a video capture software which only captures the canvas and not my cursor or the way I move the canvas?
I want to simulate a painting being created brush stroke by brush stroke. It would also be good if I could select the layer that it is meant to be recording.
I guess this would have to be a plugin of some sort.
If not - do you have any good suggestions of the best workflow of creating this from Photoshop to After Effects (I don't want to use revealing paths etc...)

That won't work. Screen cap tools by their nature always capture the display buffer of the whole active window. At best, they respect GDI "drawing layers" and regions like Camtasia does, meaning they differntiate between mouse cursors, window frames and the actual content to get more efficient compression. For the rest - see the previous answer.
