Is there an update installer application for 3rd party software?

I want to make sure all my third party apps are updated before installing Snow Leopard.
I was wondering if there is such a thing as an application that will check your computer for software and firmware updates?
I can do it on my own by checking each application I have, but this will take forever.

Software updates are usually a per application thing. For instance, Software Update will handle all Apple Software and Firmware, but third party apps have to do it themselves. I am not sure of a universal updater since all applications check for updates in a slightly different way. If you buy/download apps through the Mac App Store in SL, then updates are centralized within the App Store.

Microsoft have chosen to use their own proprietary and incompatible syncing methods to sync their own operating systems. It stands to reason you'd be able to sync a Windows Mobile-based phone with a Windows desktop OS.

You haven't got to. Nokia provides their own support via a free iSync Plugin for that phone here:

If you're having problems with that, then Nokia are the people to contact - not Apple. But from your other post it appears you're having problems with installing it, not using it, and that's most likely because you've moved iSync.

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

I have a C# desktop application which will keep track of my installed software(in my PC). I want to make this application more smart, like when the update version of the installed software will come in internet site, the application will notify me and I can update from my C# application, without login or open website.
For example, I have installed MS Office 2013, Adobe Reader 1.1. So when Adobe Reader 1.2 comes in internet, my application will notify me and I can update that from that application.
Can anyone please answer my question, how can I do that?

Well, each app will be different. You will need detailed research. In some cases the process will be opaque or undiscoverable. For Adobe Reader you might find the Enterprise Deployment documentation relevant.

3rd Party Software for Charting

Can anyone recommend 3rd Party Software for Charting (pie chart, bar chart etc)
I have tried to use the Cold Fusion charts <CFCHART> etc..... but they just dont create professional looking charts.
I bought Fusion Charts.
It worked great for a while.
But the charts dont render on IPADS and now they have printing issues.
So now I have decided to start anew.
I want charting software that outputs to professional looking JPG, GIF or PNG images (NO FLASH!!)
Does anyone have any suggestions for 3rd Party Software for Charting that integrates well with my existing cold fusion pages?

SCCM Software Updates (and SCUP) vs. Application Management for 3rd Party Application Patching

Hi,
We're getting ready to tackle the phenomena known as Java patching, and I was wondering if I could get your personal preference; SCCM Software Updates (and SCUP) vs. Application Management for 3rd Party Application Patching?
I probably should give a little background on my environment; It's a university atmosphere, so unless it's policy, you have to ask nicely...can't tell people to do things they don't want to; multiple version of required versions of Java for what ever reason,
which need to be identified, grouped together, and then upgrade as much as possible without breaking their old applications.
I was thinking that Application Management probably made more sense where it is more robust, especially for removing multiple installs of Java on a single system, but Software Updates/SCUP looks like it was built for this type of patching, so I'm a bit confused
why SCCM would have two components which essentially did the same thing.
Your thoughts?

For Java version management specifically you can already achieve a lot by using the Application Model in CM12.
You can define supersedence between the different versions, just make sure to opt for uninstall of the older version when defining it.

Does anyone know of an application that could act like Software Update for 3rd party programs, so that a list of updatable applications shows and you can select to download them all at once?
I know some do an update check on launch, but I was just wondering if there was a more convenient way?

Yes, but no. App Update is a widget that will check for updated versions of your apps. It can be found at http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/status/appupdate.html. Unfortunately, it won't install them for you, but will give you links to websites where you can download the newest version. I use it and like it. Give it a try!

I've fixed the problem - I think.
I forgot I had the program "Little Snitch" installed on my computer. So I went into it and saw that it was blocking most of my connections for all the programs I use on a daily basis. Once I lifted the RULE to those certain programs - BAM - everything came back to life in an instant!

I am having one unique requirement for sending/receving an xml file from Oracle Applications to 3rd Party Application system (which supports XML). Has anyone worked on the XML Gateway for sending/receiving the PO/ASN or Pick Release/Ship Confirm XML information from Oracle Applications (11.5.9 or above) to 3rd Party Application System.
Looking forward your valuable inputs/suggestions on this.
Note: Please note that, Trading Partner setup has to be done for a 3rd Party Application System.

Moving average update for 3rd Party sales order

Hello All,
We have configured a 3rd party sales order process. The schedule line category is configured with account assignment categoory as "M". when we are creating GR the Moving average price of the material is not getting updated.
But if i replace with "E" it is getting updated, but the CO-PA is not getting generated for Profitability segment reporting.--we need profitability segment reportng.
Can some one tell me how we can update the moving average price using acc. asssignment category type "M" at the same time the Profitability segement information is updated.

Hello Arpita
For 3rd party orders functionality you need to use account assignment category of X and not M. E and M are for individual Purchase orders. You should not use them for 3rd party.

If by "still nothing" you mean they are not showing up in the AU manager after reinstalling them....
Im guessing the AU Cache itself is now corrupted so.....
Quit LPX
Open Finder
Press the option key and click "Go" in Finder's menu and select "Library". (This is the User Library and not the System Library and is normally hidden which is why you have to hold down the option key when clicking on Go.... to reveal it in the drop down menu that will appear)
Go to "Caches" dir and remove "AudioUnitCache" dir.
Now Restart your Mac.....
and then Launch LPX and let it rescan your plugins and see if that fixes things....

You might contact Epson, but I doubt there is a way to upgrade it to AirPrint compatibility. If you were recently sold the printer for use with an iPad or iPhone, you can take it back and either exchange it or get your money back.
As Deggie stated, your choices include Apps on the iPad like PrintCentral or the Epson App, or running a program on your computer that shares its printer as AirPrint over WiFi. Programs that can do that are Printopia and FingerPrint, and are reported to work well. Your computer must be on and awake any time you want to print. <Printopia for Macintosh> <FingerPrint for both PC and Mac>
