Is there an updated solution to the AF Hands-On Exercise%3F

Hi All. I'm attempting to work through the AF Hands-On exercise found at https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-23893. I got up to 3.c in the instructions, Testing the Water Level actor. I don't see the expected results, and noticed that the Water Level Test vi uses the "Lauch Actor" vi, which has been superceded by "Launch Root Actor" and "Launch Nested Actor". I could not figure out how to use either one in the Water Level Test.
Is there an updated version of the AF Hands-On Exercise using the new VIs, or can someone tell me how to modify the Water Level Test vi to use the new actor launching VIs?

Did you check out READ THIS FIRST ? The section "Problems running your AF code in the run time engine? Error 1634?"discusses how "Launch Root Actor.vi" and "Launch Nested Actor.vi" have an input to open the front panel.
For more information about this specifc example, I recommend joining the AF group (see the image to find the link) and posting within the AF Community.

In Mac OS X v10.7, the $HOME/Library folder is a hidden folder.
Open Finder and use one of these:
* Go > Go To Folder (Shift-Command-G) and in the dialog type: ~/Library
* Open the "Go" menu and hold down the Option key to make the Library appear
You can also use this command in a Terminal window to remove the hidden flag.
* Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Terminal
* chflags nohidden ~/Library

After upgrading to 3.6.8 none of the plugins load even though there are updates available. The updates will not install and even though the error states to look at the console error log there are no errors listed in the log.

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.
Did you ever find anything more to this?

Is there a documented solution for the FlashPlayer Metafile Download error that works?

Many people are experiencing problems when downloading the new FlashPlayer version 10.3.183.5 from the Adobe website. During the download process a "Metafile Download Error" occurs when performed from an office or client facing facility. This issue is not isolated to Win7, but is also an issue with Win XP and/or Vista. Is there a documented solution for the FlashPlayer Metafile Download error that works?

Is there a definitive solution to the "Leopard Printer Pause" problem?

Curious if there was any definitive solution to the problem of networked printers pausing instead of printing when a job has been sent to it. I've combed these forums looking for solutions and everything that seems to have work for some has not worked for me, including: connecting via LPD rather than AppleTalk and IP, connecting using HP Jet Direct, setting up the printer using CUPS instead of using the System Prefs, etc. I have a Xerox Phaser 4500 that worked fine under Tiger, but refuses to print without pause issues under 10.5.2 (except, oddly enough and unlike others, it WILL print immediately in CS3 apps, or at least InDesign, where I spend 90% of my time). I've got the latest firmware and PPD for the 4500, but no luck. Here's what Console throws up:

I sure would love to know what's going on. Anything else I should try?

I had the same problem with both my Epson R1800 and CX9400. After 30 minutes with Epson, resulting in the best way to do a clean install of your drivers (outlined in this post:<http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6761221#6761221>), the CSR said that the issue was Apple Related.
I am hesitant to call Apple, but in this case it proved to be the smartest and best solution. The Apple expert found that this is a known issue stemming from the last security update (Security Update 2008-002) resulting in a conflict involving SSH and printing outlined here: ,http://blogs.zdnet.com/Apple/?p=1437>
The conflict is with a small piece of software called "Instant Hijack" that is installed with many applications offered by Rogue Amoeba. The fix is an update to Rogue Amoeba software such as Audio Hijack Pro. "Instant hijack 2.0.3" is not a stand alone installer, it can only be updated through Rogue Amoeba's software such as Audio Hijack. <http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/>

Will there be a solution to the inability of my Android 4.0 to play flash media?

The system requirements for website specifies Adobe Flash. I installed Adobe Flash player and Adobe Air. Neither solution resolved need for plug-in. Both T-Mobile and Firefox support explained Adobe does not work for Android 4.0 and above. Is there absolutely NO solution? What can be done to resolve? I'm not a developer.

Is there an update that addresses the different rending in photos between Library & Dev modules?

The changes that I have made in the Development module are not reflected in the rendering of the photo in the Library module. Is there an update or guidance that addresses this difference in rendering?

What differences are you seeing?
There is a slight difference in the way sharpening and noise reduction are shown. Briefly: in Develop Module, sharpening and noise reduction may not always be fully rendered except at 100% view (this, I understand, is to save rendering time - you can't judge sharpening and noise reduction except at 100% anyway). They are shown in Library Module, as they need to be rendered only once between edits (and the rendering is saved in the previews).
If you are seeing any other difference - especially a difference in colour - that may indicate a problem with your monitor profile.
Is your monitor calibrated and profiled - with a hardware tool (ColorMunki, Spyder etc)?

Is there a fix/solution to the Lyrics bug in iTunes 10.5.2.

If I change or make corrections in iTunes, they aren't reflected on my 4S. The only solution is to completely remove the album, sync my device then re add the album and make my correction then re sync.

Good question for JBL.
If a product does not include the "made for iPhone" designation, no.
Some products that don't include this may work with the first generation iPhone but not with the iPhone 3G.

I've had a series of problems with the new itunes 6.x and quicktime.
What I am wondering is whether there is a standard solution. I've tried the standalone downloads, etc. with the same lack of success that other's have seen.
Also, is a rollback possible other than going to filehippo or some sort...

Is there an updated version to the Export Layers to Files Resolution fix for Photoshop CC?

My Photoshop CS6 got blown away (another long story) along with my modified Export Layers to Files script. In this file, I had modified the lines specified in the following thread -- http://forums.adobe.com/message/2796594 -- so that the resolution of my PNG files would not be changed. I modified the Photoshop CC script with the same fix and it's not working. Any suggestions?

Has there been any solution to the stuttering HD with netflix?

I have my q150 hooked up through the ethernet, speeds 8mbps down and 1 up and the HD stutters like mad. Any possible solutions.

Weird. I haven't run into that but will watch for it.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
Then you click on the name of the iPod under Device in iTunes and changethe name.

the new itune is horrible unsuable and not user friendly. it freezes all the time and doesn't recognize my devices. I have had to restart itune more times this past month then I did since 2009.

We don't know. It's unlikely Apple will "fix" something because you don't like it.

HT1351 How do you manually sync songs onto iPod/iPhone with the recent iTunes? This article is invalid as there is no section on the left hand side of iTunes called 'Devices'.

Very frustraiting as I cannot currently put songs onto my iPod/iPhone after regrettably downloading the most recent iTunes, and my friends are having the same problem. I have an apple mac and it is clearly a fault of the new iTunes as it used to work before the new iTunes.
