Dear friends, I need to use my MBP to capture video from HDcam on location.then make a quick cut for preview, how do i do this, i am good with fcp. but never done this before.
pls give me links for any softwares or hardware required.

I have Final Cut Studio V1 - the PPC/Intel V5/5.1 cross-grade version, which would suit your requirements perfectly. (I have it for sale at present down here).
If you keep looking, you're sure to find a similar second hand copy in your area, without the need to upgrade your graphics card.
I'd go for Final Cut Pro as above over any version of Express. FCP has the full version of LiveType - not the truncated version that was released later on.

I am running OS X 10.6.8. iCloud says to download Lion 10.7.2. I thought I was running Lion. Selected software update and it says there is no new software for my system. How do I know if I am running Lion?

You already have all the free updates that are pertinent to Snow Leopard. Software Update only finds and installs free updates to your Apple software — it doesn't do anything with upgrades that must be purchased, like Lion. If you were to purchase and install Lion, Software Update would then find and offer to install all the free updates that are applicable to Lion.

i have toshiba sattellite L305d-S5893, i upgraded to windows 7 64 bit, having trouble with my webcamera, works, but it would show up little blurry and dark, even though im in a place where theres light..need to download webcam assistant software for this?? what other important downloads do i need, im not familiar with computers so the most help i get, better. thanks!

When you upgraded to Windows 7 64bit did you do an inplace upgrade of your Vista 64bit installation carefully following these directions?

Or did you a clean or custom install of Win7? If you did a clean install it would be best to use the Toshiba Recovery disks that either came with your system, or that you should have created as directed on page 61 of your User's Guide, depending on whether or not your system originally came with HDD recovery partition, to restore your system to its factory default out-of-the-box setup. Then follow the upgrade procedure above.

Handbrake is the way to go.
Quicktime Pro does not have the ability to rip and convert DVDs.

There might be something there that is at least similar to the app your looking for.
edit: There is one shareware that is an iTunes plugin called Multi-tunes. With it you can create multiple iTunes libraries, one library called "Main" one called "Bootlegs" etc, and Multi-Tunes will allow you to quickly switch between them from within the iTunes window. Not exactly what your looking for but close.

sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings

then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

There is a hardware simulator call "hercules" (http://www.hercules-390.org/) but it comes without z/OS (or any other OS). On top, IBM does not allow to run z/OS on the emulator but only on their hardware. On the the mailinglist, however, there were in the past a few people able to technically make OS/390 or z/OS to run. Some time ago I played with this emulator and installed z-Linux (31-bit).
z/OS is VERY different to everything you may have seen before, it requires a huge amount of special knowledge.
You may get an idea about the architecture by installing an (ancient - but likewise) system:

Any version control software, like CVS, allows for line-to-line comparison of different versions of the same file. The problem with reports is that to understand differences you need to save the reports in human readable format that can be REX-file.
