Is there Any Blu-Ray Media player out for Mac?

hello everyone,
I just recently installed Pioneer BDC-202 Optical drive, which I ordered from OWC. It does come with a installation Disc, but not for Mac. I mean everything works, but I can't seem to get the Blu-ray Movies to work? Why is that? Is it because of the non supporting media player? I mean I can't seem to find it anywhere on the web. Is it because its not available yet? If not when are they making it available? I mean it would suck to spend 200 dollars on an internal Blu-ray disc player in hoping to watch some high quality movies. I think OWC should not have it available for sale on a Mac site when it doesn't have any supporting programs out there to make the darn thing work.

My monitor (a Gateway XHD3000 30" display) is HDCP compliant, so I was wondering myself if the nvidia card is. Fortunately, not too big a deal for me, since I don't plan on watching protected movies in my sytem (I have a 52" LCD and 100" projection).

Any problems with Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X?

I want to be able to play video from CNN.com, but it says I need Windows Media Player 9. Before I download it, I want to know if it is reliable.
I've already got Flip4Mac, and that doesn't help. (I get a -2048 error.)
Please share experiences with Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X so I can decide whether or not to download it.

The default application you're looking for is "Stuffit Expander".
http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/ is the page you'll be looking for...think Winzip for Mac. Once stuffit is installed you should be able to open the .sitx or .hqx file you may have downloaded...essentially a package that stuffit can open for you so you can install media player.

Windows media player 9 for MAC OS X PROBLEMS!

I have just installed windows media player 9 for MAC OS X (from this site http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/mac/mp9/default.aspx), in an attempt to view a windows media file sent to me via email.
Since the install, I can no longer view any media on the BBC website (not sure what application they use on this).
I have dragged all Windows Media Player 9 related files to the trash, emptied the trash and then done a restart of my computer. still no joy.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Windows Media Player 9 for Mac (OS X)

I've been trying to download the software for Windows Media Player 9 for Mac (OS X) in two versions: 1 - Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X, 2 - Windows Media® Components for QuickTime. Every time I download the files I get this message: Unable to expand "Windows Media 4.stix"- Stuffit archives are not supported.
Any ideas on what my problem is, simply I need a program which will show Windows Media files.

Is there any way to create an installer for Mac OS and Linux OS once a stand alone application is created? I have created an executable application that I want to distribute to Mac and Linux users (different applications were created in the respective OS). I was wondering if there is any way to create an installer? I think there probably isn't... If the user were to simply download the Labview Run-time Engine from ni.com would they be able to run the application or is it more complicated than that?

I think Shane tried to say, that it is on the Mac OS X installation DVD, NOT the LabVIEW for Mac OS X installation medium. And that could very well have changed in recent Mac OS X versions as well. They used to have Xcode on it too, but that seems gone as well.

APE11 will not recognize any blu-ray media

I have APE11 and attempting to burn a project to blu-ray. My problem is that APE11 recognizes the blu-ray burner but will not recognize any blu-ray discs. I have tried various BD-R and BD-R DL discs to no avail. I receive a "Media not present" message. If I select the same burner but choose to create a DVD, I receive a "Incompatible disc" message. This leads me that it sees the discs but I'm not sure what's up with the blu-ray option. The blu-ray discs are Verbatim and Windows recognizes the discs as well. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

What Blu-ray burner do you have? Is it recognized in the Device Manager under DVD/CD-ROM drives? Driver and Firmware up to date?
What burn software came with the Blu-ray burner? If it is part of the CyberLink family, can you use the PowerProducer of the series to burn to Blu-ray disc format on a Blu-ray disc using these Blu-ray discs that Premiere Elements burn dialog is labelling "Media Not Present"? I would like to see the results of that test if possible.
Just to get it out of the way (maybe helpful), let us flush the preferences...

and in the 11 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs Folder that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 11 Folder in which it exists.Make sure that you are working with Folder Options/Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the path described.
If that does not work, a complete Deactivation from Help Menu/Deactivate followed by the usual Control Panel uninstalled followed by reinstall may be in order. I am hoping the results from a CyberLink PowerProducer burn to may give us some valuable information so that we do not have to resort to uninstall/reinstall.
Are you using BD-R 25 GB 2X? What is this BD-R DL? Is that the 50 GB for Blu-ray? Do you have any BD-RE 25 GB 6X? How much are you planning on putting on this Blu-ray disc in terms of Space Required and duration?
Let us start here and then we can decide what next.

You need third party software, Macgo Blu-ray Player can deal with the work you mentioned. As for the Mac Moutain Lion(10.8), I check their website and it is said that the Mac OS 10.8 are supported.

I have a blue-ray player that came with my Dell Inspiron 17R. It will play standard DVD's, but when loading a Blue-Ray DVD, I get a pop-up that says that Windows Media Player experienced a problem without saying what the problem is. I used

Blu-ray DVD format is not supported in Windows Media Player. You need to use a third party programs to play that.

Are there any rapid fire keyboard apps/plugins for Mac/OS X?

@Grant Bennet-Alder: For some reason, this only works in certain programs like Safari and Terminal. It won't work in other apps or games. Is there any way around this or is there any app that can emulate multiple key presses at once?

Is there any way to keep Microsoft RDC for Mac OSX from disconnecting when I start typing?

I am able to login to remote computers using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection for Mac OS X (version 2.0.1). I can launch applications and open folders on the remote system without any problems. However, anytime I start typing it immediately disconnects me from the remote system.
I have resorted to using TSClientX, which works, but doesn't have all the great features that RDC for Mac OS X has.
My PowerBook is running 10.5.8. The remote systems are Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows Server 2008.
I have tried uninstalling the latest version of RDC for Mac and going back to several older versions, that did not resolve the issue.
I have tried restoring the keyboard shortcuts, that did not resolve the issue (though, I never made any changes to the configuration anyway).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've know a few people who have had trouble getting CoRD to work correctly with their PPC mac. Personally I've not had any problems. I know the later version seems to work better.
As MS RDC, in an ideal world it would be nice if that could be resolved. I have been playing about with that myself a few times now. At first I thought it was a firewall problem on my Mac. After many hours of fiddling with this, it still had the same problem. This problem is the same for my MacBook pro too.
Many user forums seem to be suggesting config change, but I find it odd how it works fine with Windows XP, but connecting to anything else has problem. Could it be a configuration problem in Windows I wonder? Should you come across a resolution, then let us know here on the Support Community.

Are there any professional tax preparation programs available for Mac?

After seeing how much I love my Intel iMac, my dad really wants one. He does book keeping and tax preparation for his clients from home, so he would need some type of tax software that would work with a mac.
Keep in mind, he would need professional level software, like Taxwise. Home tax programs like Turbo Tax or Quicken wouldn't work. He needs software for e-filing, form generation, refund loans, etc.
Do you guys know of any?
