I bought a 7110 A3 printer and have had several problems till today. The first was that the printer does not print in A3 format if the system is not in Amrican English. Now I just swap the black cartridge and when I use this printer says that the yellow cartridge is over and it does not print anything even in black or white! The strange thing is that i never print anything in color, only use black ink! I'm almost throwing the printer out the window, i do not know how i got scamed again by HP . Try resetting your phone, hold the home and sleep/wake button down until the apple symbol comes up, then release. If that doesnt work, you may have damaged your phone and need to take it to an apple genius bar.

I am going to sell my second generation ipod touch, so i resetted it to factory defaults. It said it would take up to an hour, and i patiently waited. But when the black and white loading bar completed, the ipod went to the black screen with an apple logo

But when the black and white loading bar completed, the ipod went to the black screen with an apple logo on it. Sounds about right, right? But now, there is a processing circle on top of the logo, but the circle spins once, and stops at about halfway to the bottom. It just stays there, and about every half to one hour it becomes a white screen and starts all over again. (not the loading bar part, just the circle). I've tried holding the power and the home button, and it works, but it just goes back to the circle screen with the apple logo. HELP PLEASE?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have my iphone 4 and an ipod touch on the same apple ID. My daughter tried to change the settings on the ipod so that she could facetime on both her ipod and iphone which is on a separate Apple ID. I no longer have a 3G connection.

I have an iphone 4 and an ipod touch on the same apple ID. My daughter who uses the ipod tried to change the apple ID on the ipod to be the same with her apple ID on her own Iphone so that she can use facetime on both devices. Not sure what she did but my 3G connection is no longer working.

Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

Raw Black and White (CR2 Cannon) process in color

I'm shooting black and white in raw/cr2 mode, and when I process them through Bridge / CS2, etc., they always come up color, not b&w. The same occurs with Picasa and other raw processing packages. Any ideas how to keep them B&W, rather than converting to it after processing?

By its very nature RAW images are color because color is captured by the
sensor and raw is simply the raw data captured by the sensor. If you want
black and white from the camera then you would have to shoot JPG or TIFF if
your camera offers TIFF. Now the black and white marker should be included
in the RAW file so if your use the software that came with your camera then
it is very likely that software would see that marker indicating that you
had black and white turned on and simply convert the color RAW to black and
white and show you that. You might think that you are getting a black and
white RAW file but you aren't it is just the camera makers software seeing a
simple flag and then doing the black and white conversion. Since these flags
are generally proprietary Adobe doesn't read them.
In the end you are better off doing the conversion to black and white
yourself. There are many ways of doing it even in Adobe Camera RAW and you
will always get better results.

Aperture converts black and white to colour, only I did not want it colour!

Hi, I mostly shoot in black and white in RAW and use an olympus pen e-p1. I recently upgraded to aperture 3.1.3 and my monochrome images are being converted back to clour when I import to aperture. This is new and only has happened since the update. The review function on the camera remains monochrome, so I have no idea what is going on.
Ok I can convert them back again in aperture, but that is not the point. I am wondering is this a bug, or have I inadvertently done something to make this happen?
I am using a mac mini 2010, 8 gig ram, snow leapard 10.6.8.
I would welcome any thoughts suggestions

RAW capture includes color information. The b/w is just a camera setting like white balance that does not change the actual capture of "RAW" image data (which is why we can easily change exposure, WB etc. during post processing edits of RAW captures).
Your solution is to shoot RAW + JPEG capture. The JPEGs will have the camera mods like b/w; or the RAWs can be converted to b/w using Aperture or an image editor like GIMP or Pixelmator.
In the past if pix remained b/w upon import it was because you were seeing the camera JPEGs, not RAW.

can not get my hp deskjet 932c to print in black and white. error message states print mode in auto, but I can't find the print mode to correct. printer was printing in black and white or color automatically til last night, then in middle of document quit altogether. new cartridges get the same results.

Check the paper type settings. If this is set to "automatic" and the paper type is detected as photo paper then black only print is not available. (The black pigmented ink is not compatible with photo paper.) What is your operating system?

Making everything black and white but one person in color

i was wondering if it is possible to make everything black and white but have one person still be in color. not just one color but the whole person be in color. if this is possible can you please share how to do that. thank you.

Black and White photo with splash of color

I just bought photoshop elements yesterday. I'm completely new to this and I want to know how to make a photo turn b/w, but keep a point of color,ex: a red hair bow but everything else b/w.

Another way is to create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer over your photo. (It's one of the choices that is found on your layer's pallet under the black and white icon.) This will create an adjustment that can be masked.
Double click the adjustment layer with "Master" selected and move the saturation slider to -100. Once this is done you can use the paint brush to paint back color. (Black hides the adjustment; white reveals the adjustment; shades of gray provide a partial adjustment.)
I think the mask option is preferable to using the eraser because you can easily go back and refine the image if you make a mistake. It also gives you the opportunity to change your mind without having to start from scratch. Another advantage is that your image will have a smaller file size.
You can also use filters that work in gray scale on the mask. One useful one is Gaussian Blur. I like to paint my selection edges with a hard edged brush then soften (feather) the edges with the Gaussian filter. The Maximum and Minimum filters are useful if you need to expand or contract the mask edge a little.
If you want to have more control over the black and white adjustment, use the pull down menu in the Hue/Saturation adjustment dialog to select each color; reduce each of the colors to -100 Saturation; then go back and adjust the "lightness" slider of each color to taste.
