Is there any field " Batch number index" in Batch Management

Hi
Is there any field " Batch number index" in Batch Management.
My clients requirement:
Currently raw material batch allocation to the process orders is based on batch number index. Clent does not enter manufacturers date when materials are received and hence the numeric batch number serves FIFO correctly based on batch creation date.
Change needed - Planning to change the business process to enter the manufacturers date for each raw material batch receipt so that Shelf Life Expiry Date comes in to play and expired dated raw material does not go into Process production.
Is there any other solution linked or not linked to the above "Batch number index" ??

Is there any way to an index that can be used to include the "OR condition "?

A database cannot in general use indexes in this way for an 'or' involving two different columns. However, for this specific example one can easily rewrite the query using 'UNION' to use the relevant indexes while still giving the same (correct) result:

Maybe you can apply a similar trick? If you know there is no possibility of duplicate rows then you can further optimise this (in terms of performance) by using UNION ALL.

Is there any limit on Number of items that can be created in SAP Business One 2005B.
We are working for button manufacturer.
Each button will have type,color, size, thickness.
There are about 100 types, 40 colors, 30 sizes, 10 thickness, 500 models.
It looks to be approximately above 30lacs item codes has to be created.
Is there any performance issues or any other known issues towards the large item lists.

Hi,
There is no real limit on the number of items you can create (well, the item code is a 20 character key so theoretically the limit is the total number of possible combinations of letters and characters in that key).
Performance can be an issue with a large inventory, as well as database size (particularly if you have a large inventory and a large number of warehouses). Some issues such as the speed of lookups can be avoided by changing system settings but other issues such as the speed of inventory reports are inevitable going to take longer for larger inventories.
Have you done any research on looking for SBO addons for the clothing industry? It might be worth searching the CPSN for such addons (ie ones that can deal with sizes, colours etc) as these may help greatly in keeping the number of stock items down to a minimum.

Please check in the Table : CRMD_ORDERADM_H for the shopping cart the name of the creator .
from that you can findout whether who has created the SC
(or) check in PPOSA_BBP for the particular user in the Attribute tab for the attribute :requistioner.

VL66 is used for deleting temporary inbound deliveries that have been marked with the deletion flag in the database, the temporary deliveries should have the deletion flag selected in the database, but i want to delete the normal inbound delivery without deletion flag now, is there any other solutions? Enter batch number - No Automatic Batch Number assignment allowed for plant

Hi SAP Gurus,
Upon checking the created new Goods receipt for Purchasing Order in tcode migo_gr, checking with the Batch tab, we can't see a batch number, then clicking the classification tab showing the message Enter batch number - No Automatic Batch Number assignment allowed for plant - XXXX
the question is there any missing configuration based for this kind of error? ive checked the availability check for the plant and it already setup. Hope for your kind responses.

Logistics - General>Batch Management>Creation of New Batches>Define Batch Creation for Goods Movements
for your movement type check what is the Strategy for the new batches.
here you should assigne only automatic.
Also let me know what is the level of batch mgt> is it at client level, Plant level, Material level.?

If i got you right, you need the information on Packing material in material master, if this is the case then go to
Material Master - Basic data1- Packaging Material Data here you get to see
1) )Material group packing material - here grouping of materials which require same kind of packing is done.
2) Reference material for material packing - here material number is given which is to be packed with the similar packing and there should be a material master record for the reference material.
3) Product composition - if you check ithis tab then composition gets printed on packing
For example - say you have two material X(glass bottles) and y( glass jars) since these two are one of a kind they require same kind of packing.

My issue is
I am currently doing selenium webdriver automation in linux for a device. There are 50 devices of same kind and framework will pickup a device depending on availability. I need to by pass unsigned ssl pages. I am using firefox 14.
I have implemented following but it is not consistent.
everytime a device is chosen
adds cer of device to the cert file in firefox profile
but I am getting sec_error_bad_signature very frequently.
So I started recreating cert [delete and create if by opening firefox] file for every run.
Now this is posing a problem if multiple devices are run at the same time. Hence I want to create separate firefox profile

Not that I have ever found. And at one time I had over 60 Profiles, but after I hit 20 Profiles listed in the profiles.ini file the launch time for Firefox became noticeably longer on WinXP. With remote Profiles, not listed in the profiles.ini file and launched strictly from command line there was no impact on launch time.
How or if that relates to Mac OSX is beyond my knowledge, never owned used a Mac.

As the title says, i wonder if there is any recommended maximum number of deployed application to a single user/computer?
I have about 60-70 applications in my environment, how would the performance be affected if I would make these available for all computers or users to install? I guess its only the client that would be affected right?
How intense is the process that checks if applications is installed, applicable etc..

There will be n/w Performance impact, consider if all the applications are being downloaded on the machines for install by users since its Available install ,consider few users are initiating the install from application catalog for few application
then it will impact the n/w performance, various things are also into considered.

Is there any limit for Number of fields in a Search help

Hi,
I have created a search help via SE11 and LPOS and SPOS is defined for all of the fields. The problem is whenever a 12 th field is added it disturbs the list and output is not displayed properly.
The Record Tab is having data of 180 characters, even though it is not taking 12 th field.

Is there any limit for Number of fields to be shown from grid dictionary in service?

I am getting an error in service designer -> Dictionaries if i select more than 20 fields in grid dictionary. PSC is 10.0

This is documented in the Service Designer guide.
Show in Grid
Fields set to “Show in Grid” and “Use” in a dictionary will display as columns in the grid on a service form when the dictionary is set to “Display as Grid”. “Show in Grid” and Multivalue are mutually exclusive, as a grid does not have the capability for a multivalue cell. Grids cannot have more than 20 columns by default, which is defined by “dictionary.attributes.maximum.showingrid.count” property in the newscale.properties file.
Note Fields in External dictionaries cannot be used in grids and hence do not have the “Show in Grid” column. Also, fields in Reserved dictionaries (Customer_Information and Initiator_Information) cannot be used in grids because those dictionaries inherently represent only one set of data. See Designing Grid Dictionaries for Fields with Multiple Data Instance for more information on grids.

Is there any other way to use a Batch Action Save as Without Using Override "Save As"

The problem im having is, Ive made a Action which uses the save option several times though the action. When i try to run a batch action it just overrides the last file. When I check the Override Button the action does not work becuase i used save in my action in ealier steps. The action works perfect with one picture when doing it manually but it would take forever to do 1500 pictures manually. Any help would be great.
Im trying to find a way to run the batch file and have it save as a diffrent file name each time.
