This is a common anti-spam technique for ISPs to prevent mail from being sent from anywhere other than your service location. Ask Road Runner if there are any specific settings you can use to circumvent this.

The short and direct answer to your question about catalogs on a network drive is that you can't do that. The catalog must reside on a local drive.

FCE is no longer supported by Apple. That does not mean it won't run on Lion, Mt. Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite, however with each successive upgrade to OS X it becomes less & less likely that FCE will be installable or even run properly after being installed, because it is so much older than the current versions of OS X. That said, the FCE 4.0.1 update is still available through Software Update provided you already have FCE 4.0 installed on your Mac. The 4.0.1 update is not available "publicly," meaning you can't search for it on Apple's website and find it; FCE 4.0 has to already be installed on your Mac and you have to update it via Software Update on your Mac.

My advice is to move to Final Cut Pro X since you have a Mac running Mavericks (10.9.5).
I understand your frustration at having purchased some software and now you can no longer use it. However, obsolescence is a natural part of the technology world. FCE is now obsolete and has been replaced by Final Cut Pro X. If you have OS X Lion or any later version of OS X installed on your Mac, you should be looking at Final Cut Pro X. -

Why is Logic's interface still heavy Graphically? Sure; that if this was once an awesome app that i would either go back to that version or, having been seduced by new features etc., i find that i can't live without them then I would (and have ) dl Reaper (mac, free), try the Sonar7 demo bootcamped (a truly awesome app), find an le version of Cubase (there's no demo and the full version ain't cheap) and try 'em all out on a second machine over a long, slow weekend. They all have strengths and weaknesses. They all have problems for some users. if you can get around on one of them you can quickly gain passable competence on any of them and at the very least you'll learn new things you can do with Logic and, more than likely, learn that Logic is still your favorite. 8 is a major overhaul, it's bound to take a few patches to get it right. Do we want it to be perfect out of the box? Of course. Is that ever gonna' happen? Noooo ... but if it doesn't work, go back to 7, hassle Apple about and wait till the fix it.

My family shares one apple id. Is there any way to make an apple id for each member of my family and have it all connected to the same credit card and have the same previous downloads open to download by signing in to each members personal apple id?

If you all have individual Apple IDs, then you would be able to dowload music from a shared iTunes library on a computer, but you would not be able to sign on each individual ID on an iOS device in order to download music purchased under the original Apple ID without a 90-day waiting period between sign-ons.
Here's what I mean:
If you were to sign on a new Apple ID on, say, an iPhone, and then were to purchase and download some music from iTunes, then you would have to wait 90 days before you could sign on the old Apple ID to that iPhone in order to download previously purchased material (and vice versa).
However, if all of the music purchased by that origjnal Apple ID is in an iTunes library on a shared computer, then you can hook up the device and selectively sync any music in that library to the device. You can also sign on any of the Apple IDs to that shared iTunes library and purchase music to be added to the library.
You would need to authorize the computer for each of the new Apple IDs.
Each of the Apple IDs would also be able to download that music purchased either by syncing to the iTunes library on the computer or by downloading it OTA on the device.
So, each Apple ID can download music, movies, etc. purchased with that Apple ID OTA to the device. Also each Apple ID can sync any music, movies, etc. that are in the iTunes library on the computer regardless of who purchased them.
The only other thing you would need to remember is that if an App needed to be updated, then the original Apple ID that was used to purchase that App would come up, and the password that goes with that Apple ID would be required to do the update.

I remember my Username on Gamcenter but due to the recent update of iOS7, it is only letting me Sign in through my APPLE ID - which i have forgotten over time. You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Not with the Apple TV, but if the Smart TV has an AUX port, you can connect it that way.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I backed up from iCloud. I looked at the iTunes one - it had four different ones on there; was hoping I could see because my grandson's phone was redone last year (his mom messed it up then) and didn't know anything was backed up to iTunes. He lost a lot of stuff that time. I'm just trying to get his phone back to par after someone changed his passcode on him as a joke and forgot what they changed it to a few days ago. They should change it so one could go in and pick what they want or don't want. Thank you again for your time. I do appreciate it.

Is your Apple ID set properly at Settings > iTunes & App Stores?
If so, log out from there and log back in.
If that doesn't solve it (it should), check Settings > General > Restrictions -

It sounds like you are trying to send emails but for some reason, thousands show activity. I would start by re indexing the mailbox to help troubleshoot the issue:
1.Quit Mail if it’s open.
2.In ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData, delete any file that begins with “Envelope Index,” such as Envelope Index or Envelope Index-shm.To show your home Library folder, hold down the Option key, then in the Finder choose Go > Library.
3.Open Mail.Mail creates new Envelope Index files. This process may take a few minutes, depending on how many messages Mail is reindexing.

If the issue persists, I would next remove the account, restart the computer, and re add the account:
1.Choose Mail > Preferences, then click Accounts.
2.Select an account, then click Remove.

Removing an Exchange or IMAP account doesn’t permanently delete the account’s mailboxes and messages because they’re stored on the mail server. To retrieve the account’s mailboxes and messages from the server, add the account again in Mail.
To add the account again, click the rather than the as described above and retest the issue.

I receive both My husbands emails and mine through my ipad. We both have gmail accounts. His emails are coming down on the ipad but not mine. I haven't received mail since Saturday. We use the email for business I desperately need it and I don't have a laptop anymore as it is broken. In my wisdom I desired to buy an ipad instead, what a mistake.
The iPad will support multiple Gmail accounts, but of course you have to set each one up individually. Did you set up both accounts? Go into Settings/ Mail, Contacts, Calendars to confirm both accounts exist. If they do, also familiarize yourself on how to navigate between accounts to make sure you can view your Inbox. You may also want to check your settings to make sure that you have the default account set up as you expect for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes (if you're using all those features). That is important only when initiating something new, you have to have a default account to do such a thing so make sure the default is your account since it is your iPad (assuming that's what you want).
Alternatively, install the free Gmail app and then use only his (or your) account with that app and use the standard iOS Mail app for the other account. -

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!
