Is there any Index Cards in iFS

I am new to this iFS and have been looking everywhere to see if there is such a thing as Indexing cards so that the files can be further indexed and thus searched. Is there any such thing for iFS? I can not find any...
thanks

It is very easy to extend the Internet File System with custom file attributes. This can be done using the ifsmgr tool, which features a friendly graphic user interface.
As part of the creation process, you can choose to index an attribute using the isIndexed checkbox.
If you've installed with the interMedia text option set to run, the body text of any document you insert to the Internet File System will be indexed for full text search.

Okay, I did my best searching and I couldn't find anything that matched all your descriptors. I did do a search on both decoder numbers. SB0256 returned very little results, but with SB0466, I was able to find this ebay listing:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6_fvi%3D&_rdc=
This card isn't a Champion like you suggested. And with my complete lack of knowledge, I don't know what I/O dri've bay means. But since it is PCI and the decoder matches the number you gave me, this card should be adequete, right?
Whether it works or not, my search indicated it might be very hard for me to find that card (or any PCI card for that matter). Everything I saw was out of stock. I know this is a forum for Creative, but are there any other manufacturers that will allow me to accomplish my goal, either with current cards, or discontinued cards? Thanks again
Oh, and I will vote on that thread. I probably won't wait for them to release the decoder since I need it now, but I still believe Creative should be giving the customer what they want

  • Are there any PC cards which have sample and hold capability

Are there any PC A/D cards which have sample and hold capabilities up to a 10 Khz sampling rate which we are interested in for modal testing of engine structures. Also if this type of card is available what would be the maximum input channel count of this card. We would be interested in the highest count available up to 64 channels.
A second question: We currently have a 64 channel PCI 6071 capable of 1.25 MS/s throughput. If we are using all 64 channels what would be the interchannel delay between the first and last recorded channel and at what frequency would we have to be sampling to even be able to see the affect of the interchannel delay of this specific card.
This issue has been debated wi
th in our group and your insight would be appreciated as you are the experts in this field.

    Dear Sir,
Thank you for using NI Developer Zone.
National Instruments has a product line designed specifically for acquisition of dynamic signals, it is called DSA - Dynamic Signal Analyzers. In according to the description of your application the card that best fits your needs is the NI-4472 that is available in PCI and PXI format. This card is able to acquire 8 channels simultaneously, as opposed to the regular DAQ cards that have a single A/D converter and a multiplexer. The NI-4472 has 8 Delta-Sigma A/D converters one per channel, what results in a better performance than having a single A/D converter in combination with a sample and hold and a multiplexer. To Acquire 64 channels you would have to have 8 boards and synchronize all 64 channels. The Synchronization process is very simple and with a couple of software calls we can synchronize as many as 112 channels for simultaneous acquisition at 102.4K samples per second per channel.
Regarding your second question, the PCI-6071 will sample between channels in a single scan at the maximum sample rate of the board (1.25 MS/s) but the
scan rate, i.e. the rate in which the same channel is sampled is defined by the user. Being that said, we can conclude that the interchannel delay will be the inverse of the 1.25 MS/s clock, or 0.8 micro seconds.
For a 1 KHz sine waveform, this represent a phase delay of 0.288 degrees between consecutive channels. For a channel list of 64 channels each one having the same 1 kHz sine waveform, the phase delay between the first and the last waveform will be 18.432 degrees.
I really recommend the NI-4472 as a very good solution for your application, besides that the combination of the NI-4472 with LabVIEW and the sound and vibration toolset will give you a tremendous tool to solve not only your immediate need but also provide you a system that will be easily modified and adapted for future needs.

  • Are there any sound cards with best driver support for Arch?

I was wondering if there are any sound cards that have the best driver support for ArchLinux? I currently own a Creative Labs X-FI Platinum Edition. The main reason I like the Platinum is that has an interface you can plug MIDI and Audio ports into. It seems to me, however, that Creative is the worst company to support Linux drivers. If anyone has any opinions, please feel free to comment. According to all my research, ALSA sound drivers are the most supportive for sound. Am I also correct in this assumption?

yeah, creative sucks. go with m-audio. they support linux unlike creative.

  • Is there any thunderbolt card available for mac pro?

Here's a clue at a Thunderbolt PCIe card that may be available for cpu's with an open 16x slot.
HP is now offering a Thunderbolt option for thier Z820 workstation model.
Actually, no. That computer was designed for thunderbolt from the start. It is a feature enabler card, not an expansion card.
I hope this will change soon, but not soon enough to hold my breath.
There will never be a thunderbolt card for Mac Pros.
    Two reasons:
1- Even the 2012 Mac pro used 2 year old hardware, that means even the very last Mac Pro Apple sold last month used 3 year old technology. Its not economical to make new hardware for old technology in a very small market.
2- Thunderbolt communicates directly with the CPU, GPU and PCIe hardware. That means they have to be designed to communicate with the thunderbolt controller. Since thunderbolt was introduced in 2011, a full year after the last Mac Pro (5,1) was designed, its hardware has no possible way to communicate with it.
Thunderbolt is not  "an extension of the PCIe bus" like eSATA is an extension of SATA, its an entirely different communication protocol.
If it were just an extension, it would be far cheaper and easier to implement and there would be more than just a handful of products on the market that support it. Right now thunderbolt is making Firewire look like a runaway success!

  • Are there any SB cards that still use MME / WDM drivers?

    That's what I need to know;
the company I contract for is replacing the audio recording PC and will need a sound card that's MME / WDM compliant?
I have a recording PC in my home studio and it has an ASIO card (E-MU 0404 PCI)
and I have to do retakes due to major drop outs about 20% - 25% of the time
even after setting it up for recording and changing the process priority of the card drivers & services
but the old P4 that the company has is using an SB-Li've and I've never seen it drop out once in the last 5 years of recording.
I've been given the task of researching the components needed to build the PC from the ground up.
?any helpful info would be appreciated.

  • Is there any circuit card in a SCXI series for reading a PWM signal?

    The signal specification is ...
"The signal is a differential 28 volt pulsed signal at a frequency between 160 Hz. and 200 Hz. and with a variable duty cycle. The signal is capable of driving a solenoid with a resistive load of 10 to 20 ohms and an inductive load of 25 - 51 mH. The average current of this signal will be pulsed width controlled. The average current drive capability will be a minimum of 0.8 A and will provide current limit protection against a short circuit."

    Orlan,
At this moment we don't have an SCXI module with these characteristics, but it would be a good idea to take a look at the Dynamic Signal Analyzer Boards (NI 4551 and NI 4552). They both can read signals in the range of +/-10mV to +/-42.4V with a 16 bit resolution and Sampling Rate of 204.8KS/s.
For more information on these boards, you can go to page 296 of the NI 2001 Catalog, or you can go to www.ni.com/catalog and make a search for "4552" or "4551".
    Good luck with your application!

  • Is there any PXI oscilloscope card, with sampling rate 1Gs/s or higher

    Hi all
In my test lab, I am using TDS684B oscilloscope. Is there any PXI card which can perform the same function as TDS684B? I searched the NI catalogue and they dont have 1Gs/s sampling rate scope. Is there any other vendor for PXI and may be they might have. Please give me suggestion?
    Many thanks.

I would say that Acqiris is worth a look. They have very good software support for their hardware. One can actually simulate hardware using they software while debugging at home or consulting. I have also used Gage and that product was pretty pathetic in terms of software support and hardware flexibility (it was 4yrs ago so perhaps that has changed)

  • Are there any JCOP functionality to measure performance within card ?

    Hello,
We are trying to measure some functions performances. Bu we dont have any specific tool for that.
We made some tests with PC applications, but it is not precise(as you know there are some scard library delays).
Is there any internal card(jcop) functionality to estimate the time interval for our card functionalities, or do you you have any other suggestions ?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
Given a card does not have a real time clock it is not really aware of time in this way and adding a measurement would affect the performance as well (note there is some timing in the crypto chip to help protect against certain attacks, but this is not exposed to the JC API).
The best you can do it measure the time before and after transmitting an APDU at the lowest level possible. It is safe enough to assume that the PC/SC overhead is going to be consistent for the same amount of data. You could even benchmark just sending data to the card without doing anything with it to measure the time for transmitting your data. This is not generally needed as you are interested in the performance as perceived by a client application or a user and this transmission overhead is a part of that as well.
    Just my $0.02 anyway.
    Cheers,
    Shane

  • Is there any performance difference in the order of columns referencing index?

I wish to find out if there is any performance difference or efficiency in specifying those columns referencing index(es) first in the WHERE clause of SQL statements. That is, whether the order of columns referencing the index is important???.
E.g. id is the column that is indexed
    SELECT * FROM a where a.id='1' and a.name='John';
    SELECT * FROM a where a.name='John' and a.id='1';
Is there any differences in terms of efficiency of the 2 statements??

There is no difference between the two statements under either the RBO or the CBO.

  • My family shares one apple id. Is there any way to make an apple id for each member of my family and have it all connected to the same credit card and have the same previous downloads open to download by signing in to each members personal apple id?

My family shares one apple id. Is there any way to make an apple id for each member of my family and have it all connected to the same credit card and have the same previous downloads open to download by signing in to each members personal apple id?

    Hi cindy,
If you all have individual Apple IDs, then you would be able to dowload music from a shared iTunes library on a computer, but you would not be able to sign on each individual ID on an iOS device in order to download music purchased under the original Apple ID without a 90-day waiting period between sign-ons.
    Here's what I mean:
If you were to sign on a new Apple ID on, say, an iPhone, and then were to purchase and download some music from iTunes, then you would have to wait 90 days before you could sign on the old Apple ID to that iPhone in order to download previously purchased material (and vice versa).
However, if all of the music purchased by that origjnal Apple ID is in an iTunes library on a shared computer, then you can hook up the device and selectively sync any music in that library to the device. You can also sign on any of the Apple IDs to that shared iTunes library and purchase music to be added to the library.
You would need to authorize the computer for each of the new Apple IDs.
Each of the Apple IDs would also be able to download that music purchased either by syncing to the iTunes library on the computer or by downloading it OTA on the device.
So, each Apple ID can download music, movies, etc. purchased with that Apple ID OTA to the device. Also each Apple ID can sync any music, movies, etc. that are in the iTunes library on the computer regardless of who purchased them.
The only other thing you would need to remember is that if an App needed to be updated, then the original Apple ID that was used to purchase that App would come up, and the password that goes with that Apple ID would be required to do the update.
    Hope that helps,

  • I have an American Itunes account, but now I live in Japan. I want to download Japanese artists to my I-tunes, but it won't let me. Is there any way to move past this? My American I-Pod and it is connected with an American credit card.
