Is there any known viruses on the 8900?
When using my phone the last 2 days, volume icon keeps going up & down which clips the conversation when I'm talking. Is this a virus or a software problem?
Is not a virus, try restarting the device, with the phone turn on, take out the battery for 30 seconds and install the battery again, thanks.
If I help you with any inquire, thank you for click kudos in my post.

Are there any known issue with the HP 3005pr USB 3 replicator ?
Hi,
I recently ordered an HP laptop Pavilion dv6t-7000 with Intel i7 and nVidia video. While the unit isn't due to arrve for about 2 weeks, I'm looking for a docking station/port replicator.
Are there any known issues with the HP 3005pr USB 3 replicator ? Does it fully support Win7 64 bit? I am also considering the Targa U3 unit, but I'd prefer HP if I can be assured that it works.
I'd like to be able to leave the laptop closed when at my desk so I can use an external keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
Does HP make this device or does a 3rd party make it for them?
I've read so many stories on various forums regarding these things.
Any suggestions from HP or others? I need to order something soon, but I don't want head aches when it arrives.
thanks,
SteveThis HP USB 3.0 Port Replicator fully supports with Windows 7 64-bit, if that is the one that you are talking about.

In answer to your question, I have not heard of any "known problems."
The device may, indeed, be faulty. Try resetting the PRAM and SMC before you buy a new one.

Are there any known issues with the Sony DCR-SR65?
Has anyone had any experience with this camera? My school is looking to buy one so I can record classes & school events. I am just trying to make sure it is recognised by the computer and that there are no major problems with it.
Also, it seems that it only has USB (no firewire). Does anyone see this as an issue?
Does anyone have a better recommendation for a video camera than the above?
I have a late 2007 iMac with both iMovie 08 and 06.
With thanks
Mike.I would disagree with Bengt's advice to this extent.
You don't need firewire for the modern high definition cameras that are on the Apple Supported List.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1014
Most of these cameras require USB and do not even have firewire.
However, avoid USB-only cameras for standard definition or DV formats (especially if they are not on the supported list.)
Also, just about any miniDV/Firewire camera will work. You don't have to worry whether or not they are on the list. -
My wife recently added a plugin, epub reader. Upon starting up Firefox the next day she noticed that the default search engine was changed back to Yahoo after we previously fixed this. Furthermore the ability to change search settings was grayed out. After epub reader was removed the problem was solved. I am surprised that I am unable to find anything written to this end about epub reader. Is this a tool promoted and distributed by Yahoo?
Incidentally, how much would each user need to contribute to get mozilla away from Yahoo? Yahoo is, in my opinion, little more than an advertising vehicle, and not a real search engine.I went to Costco today and asked long known VZW Kiosk rep re what phone would he recommend...DX, DI or Fascinate.
Not to my surprise, I was told that DX is the best of those three. Given the fact that all three is the same price $199, it indicates that is has nothing to do with price.
When I acquired him about how Fascinate sales going, rep told me that since that phone went for sale this Thursday, local Costco only sold 10 Fascinate but that not all...7 of them were returned back to Costco by Saturday. That is a 70% return rate which seems to be way too high for the high level smartphone.
At the same time, local Costo VZW kiosk can't keep up with demand of the DX, they are being sold out as soon as they are getting them. I am not advertising for DX here as I am myself briefly owned DX as soon as it was released and its problem with reboot forced me to return it as I didn't want to deal with replacement as I had bad experience in the past two years with VZW replacing my phones every two to three month with replacement phone being worse then the one that is being replaced.
There is no such a thing as a perfect smartphone (sorry to all iPhone fans) but VZW should take a special "achievement" award for screwing up such a wonderful phone as Galaxy S.
I can only hope that either DX with 2.2 will be better than the one with 2.1 or I will wait for what is coming up with HTC in November. -
Has anyone experienced an issue with the latest update to iTunes (11.2.0.115) for Windows where iTunes pegs out the processor at 97%, 98%, and holds there for maybe 15 minutes before dropping to 50%. During that time, the system is basically useless. You just have to ride it out. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Hi OnceBeforeIDie,

I've had Yosemite for some time and bought/installed PSE 13 afterwards.
In the last few days I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3.
As a PSE 13 novice I've been working my way through "Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 - Classroom in a Book". Working through the exercises I've found my iMac is sometimes taking longer to process the functions I'm using than prior ro the 10.10.3 upgrade. E.g., using the Healing Brush tools, Straighten Tool etc.
I've struggled with Apple's upgrade and had to re-install my machine from a previous Time Machine Backup and so I was wondering:-
Are there any known issues with PSE 13 post 10.10.3 upgrade?
Are there things I should be concerned about in the future before accepting an OS X upgrade?
Thanks,
AndyNo, no known issues. However it's a good idea to always delete preferences after OS X system updates.

HT1926 itunes wont download the message says there is a virus in the progam
i am having trouble downloading i tunes a message informs me there is a virus in the program, any ideas?
That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
Does anyone still have problems with Premier Pro on Maverick? and is there any known fix?
I know OSX 10.9 Mavericks introduced a power saving feature called App Nap which is meant to slow down applications that it determins are inactive (or when minimized). This would mostly likely cause problems if you're dynamically linking After Effects comps to your timeline or sometimes exporting to Media Encoder.
Try disabling App Nap for all your Adobe App files...
Go to your Applications folder
Go into individual Adobe app folders (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro CC)
Right-click on the Adobe app file (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro CC.app) and select Get Info
When the info window opens up, add a checkmark beside "Prevent App Nap"
Restart the application
This fixed all my performance issues.

I'm new to Oracle. I have installed Oracle SQL Developer 3.0.04 and Java 1.7. When I run Oracle SQL Developer, I will get the window Running this product is supported with minimum Java version of 1.6.0_04 and a maximum version less than 1.7. This product will not be supported....
Is there any known problem using Oracle SQL Developer 3.0.04 with Java 1.7?
I have already downloaded Java 1.6 but don't know whether I need to uninstall Java 1.7 first. If don't need to uninstall Java 1.7, how can I set Oracle SQL Developer to run with Java 1.6?
Thanks for any help.
Edited by: 881656 on Aug 25, 2011 11:22 AMHi,
One prior post discussing the use of Java 7 is:
SQL Developer 3.0 and Java SE 7?
There is no need to uninstall any Java version (except if you have disk space constraints) and no problem switching between Java versions. This may be controlled in the sqldeveloper.conf file in your ...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin directory via the SetJavaHome line. For example:
#SetJavaHome ../../jdk
SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_26
#SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0Regards,

Is there any known issue about mutex lock used in JNI on Solaris 10?
Dear Oracle,
I'm facing a strange behavior when running a JNI application that use the mutex lock. The application hanged after running for a while on one of our Solaris 10 machines. After investigating the stack trace of the application, it shows that one of all the application's threads that access the JNI hold the mutex lock forever, and that cause the other threads cannot access the JNI. The same application works fine on other Solaris 10 machines.
The mutex function I used as show below:
mutex_lock(&mutex)
The application hanged at this line:
0xff2cc940 ___lwp_mutex_timedlock + 0x8
The Kernel version is SunOS 5.10 Generic_142900-14
Since this issue occurrs on only one Solaris 10 machine in our environment, we are wondering if there is any known issue regarding the mutex lock used in JNI on Solaris 10. We tried to search the Internet and the Java Bug database but found nothing related to this issue.
Best regards,

Different environments mean just that. So something could be causing it outside java.
Additionally if anything at all is different in the execution data, such as even a name having a different size, then it would change the execution path.
Which would cause a problem in the JNI code to manifest itself on only one box. Probably isn't a pointer bug but all sorts of odd behavior can result from that. -
I am developing support for the DIGEST-MD5 sasl mechnism on a c-ldap client. I am using the evaluation version of the iPlanet Directory Server 5.0 which lists DIGEST-MD5 as a supported SASL mechanism. The server is running on NT 4.0 After installing the Directory Server with the test database, a changed the passwordStorageScheme from the default of SSHA to clear text. I then added my test user. When I run my test I always get back a resultCode of 49 (invalidCredentials). The digest-challenge I receive from the server and my digest-response are shown below. I have satisfied myself that the calculation of the response directive in the digest response is correct. Does anyone see any problems in the digest response or have any other suggestions? Is there a known problem with the iPlanet Directory Server 5.0?
digest-challenge:
realm="BGB2.ndp.provo.novell.com",nonce="Ed8UPLXsWaC6CN",qop="auth",algorithm=md5-sess,charset=utf-8
digest-response:
username="uid=bgbrown,ou=people,dc=siroe,dc=com",realm="BGB2.ndp.provo.novell.com",cnonce="A9IuPJKr30RiwL",nc=00000001,qop=auth,digest-uri="ldap/BGB2.ndp.provo.novell.com",response=97061205298e5ebaf206c8ac3598fdce,charset=utf-8,nonce="Ed8UPLXsWaC6CN"Found the answer. When the username is an LDAP DN it needs to be proceeded by "dn:".
example: username="dn:uid=bgbrown,ou=people,dc=siroe,dc=com"
The server also accepts a simple uid value.
example: username="bgbrown"
