Is there any multimedia player...

I have gnome, so I don't use Amarok (I don't want kde libraries), and I don't like rhythmbox too much. Nowadays I'm using Beep Media Player, but I see it too much simple. Is there any other great multimedia player that can compite against all of them? Don't tell me Mplayer
Greetings

Same file is in the latest release aswell (0.12.1)
Is it just not enabled in the arch binary or something?
It's in there:
/usr/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/banshee.mo
I wonder why it doesn't work?
EDIT: You should try audacious if you haven't already. It seems to be the most active project from the XMMS (and beep media player) family of code.

  • I have a Kindle Fire HDX, is there any Flash Player for this device?

@Flash Player used to be available on Kindles, I understand it is no longer offered for android type devices. Isn't there some substitute for us Kindle users? I'm often frustrated when I go to view a page online and it requires Flash Player.

    iPad do not support Flash
However Skyfire, Photon, iSwifter, Browse2Go and Puffin Web Browser will provide limited Flash capability

  • Is there any zen player that WON'T BREAK

...when you drop it's I bought a Zen Xtra 40GB and dropped it, and when I turned it on I got a harddisk error. Creative replaced it for me, but that one slipped out of my bag on to the floor and the same thing happened to it. Now, if these are supposed to be portable devices they have to be able to withstand some abuse. Does anyone know of a player that won't break after a drop or two?
I've heard the iPod Mini is pretty tuff. How about maybe the Zen Micro/MicroPhoto
    Thanks.

Agreed. Can't stand some iPod users who bragged to me that their player is so tough... I nicely told them to not use the player when playing soccer but the refused, saying that "only Creative players are that lousy"... See who'll get the last laugh.

  • Is there any HDD player compactable with Mac appart from ipod?

I've been search everywhere for a HDD player that works with Mac and every company seems to hate Mac maybe because ipod has taken over the market. So can anyone tell me which HDD works with mac appart from ipod? I would be very gratefull and my search for a new HDD player will come to an end!
Windows XP   i want a mac

Not sure what you mean by HDD player.
I have used Archos Hard Disk players with my Mac, changing the preferences in iTunes to mp3 and copying the music files over manually and it also plays video files as well.
If the music player can play mp3 files it is very likely it will work fine with a Mac.
Note that I am unable to copy over and play directly iTunes Music Store files I have downloaded form the Music Store.

  • Is there any ways to stop Quicktime player from occupying audio hardware?

Hi, my PC system is Window XP Pro SP2, HP xw8400 Workstation w/ 2G Ram. And the PC has a Digidesign Pro Tools HD 1 audio system installed.
My problem is that after Quicktime player lauches, it will occupy the Pro Tools HD's hardware. And if I want to start Pro Tools software, "digidesign hardware is in use by another application." warning will occur and Pro Tools software will then quit. BTW, Digidesign's audio driver is not multi-clients compatible.
I have set Quicktime player's audio playback device to PC motherboard's audio device, and system's audio device is also motherboard's audio device, I even have checked the "use default device only" option. I can't understand why Quicktime player still occupies Digidesign's hardware, even it plays back audio through motherboard's audio device.
Though I can quite Quicktime player before lauching Pro Tools software, I still feel it's annoying and inconvenient, and want to know some ways to solve this problem.
Anyone can help? Thanks in advance. I have asked for help in Digidesign's offcial forum, no response.
BTW, the Quicktime player version on my system is 7.6.5, and each time Quicktime player launches, the sample rate led on the Digidesign's audio interface will flash, indicating that QT player is accessing Digidesign's hardware.

I have a Blue Ant Q2 Bluetooth headset. When it's paired, is there any way to stop all audio from streaming to it? I want to hear the iPad "ring" so I don't have to have the earpiece in my ear all day, or be able to play audio through the speakers instead of the earpiece. I feel like I'm missing something simple.
You are missing something simple but lets get it to stop as you want. Go to Settings/General/Bluetooth turn it off.

  • Is there adobe flash player on any of the ipad

is there adobe flash player on any of the ipad

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:
      1. Puffin
      2. SkyFire
      3. Photon Flash
      4. Browse2Go
      5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
Download the Facebook app from the iTunes Store. Sign in with your Facebook ID and Password and you won't require flash to play videos.

  • Is there any way to install adobe flash player for my ipad?

Is there any way to get adobe flash player on my ipad?

No, flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites have their own apps in the App Store.

  • Is there any working flash player?

    Hello all,
Excuse me, but I'm getting really irrtated now.
My (multiple) problems with adobe flash player started in june 2012 after I made the stupid decision to update it. If I get any version to work properly again I certainly will not touch it for the rest of my life.....
    My previous threads:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4881107#4881107 (Flash Player 11.3.300.257 Firefox Plugin multiple problems on both XP and Vista)
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4882513#4882513 (Still hardware volume button fail after update to 11.4.402.278)
No, my problems with Firefox and flash player haven't been solved. So I think, ok I'll use IE9 to view youtube vids, well that that doesn't work either?!?
Here's the list of issues which I face now:
    1. I can't use a new flash player version in Firefox because of the hardware volume bug in flash player (see thread above), So I have to use an older one.
    2. In Firefox youtube constantly freezes. It's like the video file won't load further. I have to use escape or refresh or whatever to get it to work again.
    3. In IE9 I can't use the full screen feature, the screen is all messed up and the vid won't work properly (it's not the hardware acceleration thingy).
So summarized I have a flash player problem for over half a year now on 2 laptops with 2 differfent windows versions with 2 different browsers. That makes 4 options. And none of those work? Both laptops are recently fresh installed, clean and do not have much software on them.
    Laptop 1:
Windows XP fully up to date
    IE9 with latest flash player
FF latest with flash player 11.2.202.233
    Laptop 2:
Windows Vista fully up to date
    IE9 with latest flash player
FF latest with flash player 11.2.202.233
So my question: Is there any working flash player? If yes please tell me, because I need one pronto.
I hope there's one technician out there who knows enough about it, because till now no one did...
    ThaPlayah
OK, so it seems I've killed the IE9 full screen bug by disabling the HTML5 trial option. In my eyes it would be better to leave that option disabled by default, because HTML5 isn't even here yet. Otherwise let people know they can untick that option! Anyhow the rest of my Firefox problems still remain, and I do prefer Firefox (read totally dislike IE9)

    Hi ThaPlaya,
I feel your pain. I am in charge of over 250 PCs and laptops. Flash Player stopped working for me after an update. I have been working on this issue non-stop since the middle of October, 2012. It's time-consuming, and even after applying the latest Flash update, it still doesn't work properly.
I am beyond frustrated! I have people calling me left and right saying that they can't access content. I have been using this site https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ to try and do a browser plug-in check while in IE an dFirefox. Even after I update all plug-ins, Flash still works about half the time.
For instance, the principal of the middle and high school wanted to view an online magazine http://upfront.scholastic.com/issues/12_10_12, about 3 pages load on this site. The rest continue to say LOADING. When I right-click on a page and then left-click on ABOUT ADOBE 11.5.502.110, it seems I am using the most up-to-date version for IE and Firefox.
Students are trying to access sumdog.com and stmath.com, both run using Flash. STMath is now working a bit better because I allowed some exceptions in our internet content filtering appliance, and in our firewall, sumdog still works half the time.
If Adobe is going to update their browser plug-ins, they need to test and retest before giving the public access. This situation is causing me a ton of problems!
    Sorry to infiltrate your post...

  • Is there any codec for QuickTime Player ?

Is there any codec for QuickTime Player ?

Do you mean are there other codecs you can install and play in QT, yes there is, just this and it will take care of them all just about.

If you don't have Flash, install it here
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Others are Silverlight (free) and Flip4Mac (payware) for protected Windows media files.
You can also install the free VLC player, it plays a lot too.
DivX, I don't know about, VLC likely can play that.
There is also RealPlayer, but I think that's dropped off the face of the planet

  • Is there any plan to create a HTML5 shell for flash player apps & interactive elements?

Is there any plan to create a HTML5 shell for flash player apps and elements? The canvas option is very limited and many apps & old, interactive flash elements no longer work on most mobile devices.

HTML5 is the "anti-flash", so to speak. It requires no plug-ins. HTML5 is MP4 which is QuickTime video. That's the "shell" for it.
Steve Jobs said in 2006, when iOS was first released, that "playing Flash content is processor consumptive and drains batteries in mobile devices, reducing their life." That's why Apple iOS devices have never been compatible with Flash, and also why Android dropped support for the technology in June of 2012.
Android has "Dolphin" and "Puffin" browsers, which render Flash content (video and animations) "server side" to reduce the load on mobile devices running Android. Likewise, Apple has "SkyFire" which works the same way, but is designed specifically for iOS.
