Is there any possibilities that the ipad screen get enlarged?

Hello,
For starter, I would like to say that I don't own a tablet yet.
Now for the real question, with the new technologies everyday and with all the competition between the companies, is apple going to enlarge the size of the ipad screen or do they see it fine as it is?
Its because every year or every 6 months there is a new product coming and the competition between the brands are getting higher and I cannot afford to change a product every year so how long should the ipad lives with me? And why I should choose Apple? (Beside the below message)
What I liked about the Apple is the quality of built and apps, but in other brands I am finding larger screens higher performance and an external slot for an SD card to expand the memory.
Thank you

Nobody here knows Apples future plans.
You can use an iPad for as long as you want. Nobody forces you to buy a new one every year. Apple usually provides OS updates to older devices for at least a few years.
Buy the tablet that suits your needs best.

  • Is there any way that the magic mouse might work on the iPad?

I just got the iPad 3 and is there any way that the magic mouse can work alone or with the keyboard on it? If not, can the mouse work with a PC?

    tonefox wrote:
The magic mouse can't be used with an iPad simply because Apple has chosen not to include support for it.
Which is fair enough. Where are you going to put this mouse in order to use it with an iPad... you need a handy flat surface... oh, I know - the iPad screen. Much easier than moving your fingertip around it.
You would put it the same place you put the wireless keyboard.
In fact the existing keyboard support is one of the big reasons many of us would like to see mouse support added. You see the problem is that when you use a keyboard you have to reach up and over to tap the iPad screen. By Steve Jobs own admission* the arm tires quickly when you have to do this repeatedly. In this particular situation a mouse would be more ergonomically sound.
There is also the issue of access for the disabled. Although iOS does have many accessibility option, at present none of them help those with severe spinal damage or certain amputees. Including mouse support means you could also use devices like the "suck and puff"... A mouth controlled joystick designed for people with these disabilities.

  • Are there any problems using the Ipad while is is plugged into the wall and charging?

Are there any contraindications using the Ipad while it is plugged into the wall and charging???

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Is there any difference between the iPad and iPhone cables?

Alot of people are mentioning that there's difference with the speed while syncronising/backup. I am just wondering is there any difference between the cables? and how can I distinguish it? Coz I have most of the i- products and I have just mixed up all the cables >__< Thank you!

I can confirm that iPad/iPod cables are identical. Don't know about iPhone. IF there is a difference, you'll know immediately - function or functions won't work.
There will be NO speed difference. Either the copper is present or it isn't and copper is copper.

  • Is there any way that my iPad can recording conferences, but connected to a console?

Or is there any application for this......

There are a number of voice recording apps available from the App Store that will run in the background and allow you to execute other tasks on your iPad. By name I do not know any but a simple search of "Voice Recorder" in the app store should throw up a few apps that will do what you need

  • Are there any features that the current Extreme AC is missing?

I'd like to upgrade to a new Extreme AC, though I do not need one just yet, I could benefit from faster home networking though. What I'm wondering is if this first gen Extreme AC router is missing any features that should have been included with it based on current industry standards? In other words, should I wait a bit longer or is the current AC likely to be the same one sold for the next few years? I remember that there were a few iterations of the Extreme N with different frequency ranges, this is an example of what I'm referring to.
    Thanks.

... What I'm wondering is if this first gen Extreme AC router is missing any features that should have been included with it based on current industry standards?
Doubtful. It complies with all the standards that can be complied with, and the 802.11ac standard was just finalized a few months ago.
There were various upgrades for the 802.11n Extreme but the one you appear to be referring to is its simultaneous dual band capability. The frequencies it uses are accepted international standards for which there have been no changes since it was introduced. There have also been incremental improvements in antenna design. All those improvements have been incorporated in the latest Extreme.
If you want to wait for the next best thing, you are likely to have a very long wait.

  • Are there any differences between the iPad and iPhone chargers I.e. Volts, amps etc

Someone I know said that although they are compatible, they charge the devices at different rates. Any truth in this?

    iPad charger is 2amps.
    iPhone is 1 amp.
The iPhone charger will charge the iPad, but at a slower rate.

  • Is there any solution to the iPad 2 losing WiFi every 30 minutes or so?

I have a new iPad 2 (64Gb WiFi only) that I purchased about a week ago.  The only problem is that every 20 or 30 miutes it looses WiFi connection.  To resolve the issue I have to go into settings and either toggle airplane mode or toggle the network on then off.  This doesn't have anything to do with sleep mode as it can happen while I am in the middle of using the WiFi successfully and then it just drops all of a sudden and just spins.  No other wireless device on my network has this issue.  This was also happening before and after the delivery of the magnetic cover so I don't think it is related to the cover. I have a friend that used his Android tab at my house with no problems at all.  I see on here that this is a common problem but it looks as if nobody has addressed the issues with any type of solution.  My router is a newer ( Roughly a year and a half old) Belkin N router so it's not like I am using out of date hardware and if it was the router then why just the iPad?   I Reeeeeealy want to be a big Apple fan here but it's kind of hard with such a frustrating issue.

iOS 5 seems to have fixed it for me so far.

  • Can the ipad screen get damaged with cleaning products?

Can the ipad mini screen be damaged if i use a cleaning product? (Lysol, wet wipes,....) And if so,how can the damage be noticed and repaired?

    iPad
Handle your iPad with care to maintain its appearance. If you are concerned about scratching or abrasion, you can use one of the many cases sold separately. To clean iPad, unplug all cables and turn off iPad (press and hold the Sleep/Wake button, and then slide the onscreen slider). Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting moisture in openings. Don't use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide to clean iPad. iPad has an oleophobic coating on the screen; simply wipe iPad's screen with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oil left by your hands. The ability of this coating to repel oil will diminish over time with normal usage, and rubbing the screen with an abrasive material will further diminish its effect and may scratch your screen.

Re: Are we going to have the jeely bean update ?
    Hi,
18 months of updates does not necessarily refer to Android version updates. This also includes performance enhancing updates on the Android version the handset is already running on.
Our developers will test the handsets on the new versions of Android which Google release and confirm whether the user experience is stable enough to provide an update.
Until we have confirmation regarding this, we would be unable to confirm which units will be able to run this version.
    Just like she did before

    Re: take a look n think again...bout x8 android 2.1!!!!
As the hardware of the X8 handset does not meet Google's requirements for the higher Android OS versions, unfortunately it would not be possible for us to update this model.

    Re: The real reason X8, x10 mini/pro, w8 won't get an update?
The official statement does mention the RAM but it also mentions the following reason:
The upgrade of XperiaTM X10 also was made possible due to that we had a code base that mostly could be reused. For the mini’s, who have a different user interface, this possibility did not exist.
I am only able to provide you with the same information I have been provided with myself.
BUT the fact is that Android doesn't have a minimum hardware requirement. I've been waiting for you or someone from Sony to reply to that thread and still no answer.
    first of all
it is NOT a personal attack, I'm pointing out FACTS
second those aren't logical fallacies, neither Ad hominem, nor bandwagoning, nor non-sequitur, etc, those are facts.
how can it be a spam if?
    1) if a sony moderator gives the same answer to a user asking about Jelly Bean, I should be able to post the same answer pointing out facts, since rules apply to ALL.
    2) if the thread it's deleted then I agree that will stop sony moderators to post the same answer and myself of posting the same answer.

  • Are there any rumors that the new iPad will be able to connect to usb thumb drive for iWork or microsoft word?

Please help, I would like to know if it would be better to buy the new ipad instead of an ipad2

It will almost certainly not connect directly to USB thumb drives. There's still no USB port, and except for photos on specifically-arranged drives, there have been no indications that such support will be provided via the Camera Connection Kit.

  • Is there any chance that the next update for iBooks will include the ability to highlight?

It's great as it is though, just the highlighting part. I just don't really want to use other apps for my books and PDF files (cause I'm lazy like that and I'm saving my space for other apps); especially e-books I use for school.

  • Is there away to authenticate the iPad to Wireless without a username and password? (i.e. Device Authentication)

I am contracting for a college and they want to automatically configure 30 iPads for use on their enterprise wireless network.
Current wireless settings are 802.1x using PEAP MSCHAPv2.  Users authenticate using their Active Directory accounts.  They do have a few PCs setup to do machine authentification using the machines AD account. Is there any equivalent for the iPad?

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
    No data will be lost.
