Is there any possibility that we will see a bluetooth presenter for the ipad?

As a professional public speaker I can't walk around with a 50m VGA cable holding onto this giant device, on stage, to control my slides.... I know there are bluetooth presenters that can be connected to my mac without any usbs but I want to use the ipad because it is portable and it saves me luggage space when traveling all over the world... Please apple develop this into a version of iOS I really want to use a bluetooth presenter when I am using Keynote please please!

I can see me using an iPhone with keynote paired with a Bluetooth Presenter during a meeting. Bejond it looks just unprefessional and a clearly no go for cooperate business.
You can create your own WiFi network:
You can buy another device, MiFi, which will connect your wifi devicesto a cellular phone network.  I'm sure there are other devicesaround with the same capability.
here is the wiki article on the device.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiFi
Here is an unlocked MiFi device.  You pay for it!  Takes astandard size sim.  The iPad takes a mini-sim.

I'm not sure what you were referring to by unprofessional?  Carrying a lasar pointer & a iPhone?
I think aple is reluctant to support a blue tooth mouse which providing a bluetooth solution might do.

  • Is there any possible that pivot table can display date values in the data area like this?

I use Power Query to load data(including all the of data showed in the following table without accumulating) from database to the Excel Worksheet, and I want to build a pivot table like this.
But the data area of the pivot table can only accecpt and display numeric data. Is there any possible that such a display can be achieved?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Would you like to upload a sample file through OneDrive? I'd like to see the data source structure and test it.

If you are a college student and take a student ID you will get the education discount. If you are a student in public or private high school and have a student ID you may get the discount. I know of some parents/students who claim to have gotten the discount and some who have been denied it. Not sure if that's due to a policy change or just a difference in interpretation of who is eligible. I suggest you call your local store to find out.

  • Yes; I see that I can add words to the dictionary so that firefox no longer flags them as wrong, but is there any way that Firefox will actually suggest the added words, so that if I do misspell them, they are pressented as suggestions?

Spell check not only underlines words that are not in its dictionary, but suggests words when the flagged words are right clicked. However, if words have been added to the dictionary by a user, it does not appear that spell check incorporates the new words into to the suggestions for proper spelling. As a result, if I misspell a word that I have added to the dictionary, I have to manually correct it, because the correct spelling that was added to the dictionary is not offered in the drop down list when the word is right clicked.

''is there any way that Firefox will actually suggest correct spelling''
Right click on the indicated word, and choose, the spelling, add to dictionary,
or close the right-click context menu to allow without changing anything.
You probably have other dictionary lists on your computer of words that you've already verified and added, open that list or a copy of it in Firefox and add the ones that show up as invalid using your better judgement that you have now than in the past.

There is no reason to believe this will ever happen.

  • Any idea when we will see units new out of the box without a scratch on iPhone 5?

Any idea when we will see units new out of the box without a scratch?  I was out at Apple to pick up my iPhone 5 in black on Oct 12th.   I opened the box in front of an Apple technician and there was a scratch on the edge.  So I told her I didn't want a scratched iPhone.  So she returned and brought out another phone.   Well, she couldn't get it to a accept the new iPhone because there's a 24hr waiting period when you make a return.  This is Verizon's policy, but of course we didn't find out until 2.5hrs later.
So she says you'll have to return but we will hold this phone for you.  I was disappointed after being there for a total of 3.5hrs and no iPhone.   I returned on Saturday hoping the next iPhone didn't have a scratch.   I opened the box and there was a scratch!   I live 40 minutes from these store, so it's not close.
I have an iPhone 4 that's in excellent condition!  I don't want a new iPhone 5 with a scratch, unless its a scratch caused by me.

We're users here.  Why would you ask a question here that no one can answer?  Are you impaired in some way intellectually?

  • Is there any 32-bit driver (to work under windows98/later) for the old NEC7210 based PCII/IIA GPIB Board?

I have several NI 488.2 based PCII/IIA GPIB boards and have developed some programs with Delphi to work with them. I also have a couple of old NEC7210 based PCII/IIA GPIB (488.1) Boards and I would like to run the same programs with them but the newer drivers (I am currently using version 1.20) cannot recognize these old boards. Is there any 32-bit driver (to work under windows98/later) for the old NEC7210 based PCII/IIA GPIB Board?

    As I know, the 7210-based PCII/PCIIA cards (made in 1980's !)
are not supported for any of Windows versions. The NI documents
also write so. I guess there is no other way than upgrade to
a NAT-based PCII or newly purchase a TNT-based card such as
    PCI-GPIB.

  • Anyone know if there will be a Garageband app for the ipad?

I'd buy one today if I could use it with Garageband. The flexibility of being able to take it anywhere and record/edit tracks, considering it's size and the excellent screen, would make it worth the money to me.
Just wondering if anyone has seen/heard anything about such an app. There would have to be a way to use the USB port as an input, but other than that, you could save the files the your mac but be able to move it around so easily...would be great.

Apple has not announced GarageBand for the iPad nor anything similar but that doesn't mean that they won't release something in the future. Meanwhile, there are companies like Sonoma WireWorks and Krasidy that are already producing multitrack recording apps for the iPad or iPhone. Sonoma has a version specifically for the iPad, so that might be worth checking out.
I haven't seen anything that uses the Dock connector to expand the input capabilities, but there may be something out there, or the new SDK may allow such a thing in the future.
    Regards.

  • HT204053 My new HK iPhone will not download apps purchased in U.S. and says I need an HK Apple ID.  This creates a second Apple ID and I am concerned that I will have to pay twice for the same app.

Apps previously purchased will continue to operate wherever you are.    However; you'll not be able to update them other than by using the original purchase details.   What this means is that you can only 'purchase' from a country's store if you have a valid credit card and residence of and in that country.

  • HT3983 when will flash drive be available for the iPad?

will flash drive be available for the iPad.

And why would you be asking that in a Boot Camp/Windows forum?
Wouldn't it be better asked in the iPad area?
By the way, these are all "user to user" forums, Apple just host's the web site and never contribute. At least officially anyway.

Its used to make it so that any pictures i take arent shaky. Anyway, there is no link for the camera and when i go to the cameras homepage, and go to softwares, There is no download link for EOS Utility for my camera. Is there any way I can still use it on my Digital Rebel XT Camera? Let me know thanks

Is there any way I can still use it on my Digital Rebel XT Camera? Let me know thanks Other responses have gone off to explain some other solutions before answering your question. The simple answer is "NO". You cannot use your camera tethered to a computer, controlling it via EOS Utilities software (or Lightroom, for that matter). In order to do that, the camera must have the Live View feature. Your XT (aka 350D, from 2005) doesn't have Live View. There was a version of LV on the EOS 20Da (2005), a more complete implementation of it on the 40D (2007), and among the Rebel-series models the XSi and XS were the first to get LV (aka 450D & 1000D, both introduced in 2008). Other responses are on some right tracks, though. If your primary purpose is to help prevent camera shake, there are several other things you can do, which you may or may not be aware of... - Set a faster shutter speed. Of course, to do so may require a larger lens aperture and/or a higher ISO.  - Get and use a lens with IS (Image Stabilization).- Use flash, it freezes both subject movement and camera shake, approx. like 1/720 shutter speed would, with most flashes.- Use a tripod along with:- - a remote release (RS-60E3 wired or RC-6 wireless)- - or just use the camera's self-timer delay - - and/or use mirror lockup (Custom Function 7) Tripod quality has a great deal of effect. Some are so flimsy as to be hardly worth using. For example, the most stable tripods do not use a center column or, if it has one, the tripod is tall enough to be used without raising the center column much or at all. Materials make a differentce, too... for example carbon fiber is much better absorbing fine vibration than metal. There are a number of other factors that go into making a tripod stable. Do some additional research, if interested. Note: RC-6 wireless release uses infra red and the sensor for it is on the front of the camera. This is certainly useful for self portraits, but may be problematic using this remote for other types of photos. In addition to the Canon RS-60E3 wired remote release, there are other brand remote switches including some that have additional features such as delay timers, interval timers (time lapse), etc.  AFAIK, Canon does not make a timer/controller with E3 connectivity (like the TC-80N3, which will not connect with your camera) Note: The XT's self-timer delay is 10 seconds only. However, when used in conjunction with the mirror lockup feature, it's automatically shortened to a 2 second delay. Note: While IS lenses can make possible handholding lenses at shutter speeds 2, 3 or somtimes even 4 stops slower than you'd normally be able to use... the effectiveness of IS varies a bit from lens to lens and good handholding technique are still needed to get the best out of it. Some IS lenses require IS to be manually turned off when locked down on a tripod. The IS in those lenses can go into sort of a feedback loop where it's actually causing, rather than preventing movement. Don't worry too much about it, though... if it happens you'll see it in the viewfinder and then can turn off the IS. (No harm done to either the camera or the lens.) Hope this helps! ***********
