Is there any Program available to Copy a package from one System to Another

Hi all,
Is there any Program available to Copy a package from one System to Another ?
Thanks in advance
Raghu ram

Hi,
Put the Package into a TR using transaction SE80.
Provide the TR no. to BASIS consultant & ask him to provide the file of that TR.
Import the TR file in another system.
Thats it.
Best regards,

  • How to copy a table from one system to another system

    Hi all,
            can any one say how to copy table from one system(sys1) to another system(sys2).
    regards,
    nagaraj

    There are many ways.
    1. Use the already existing transaport request number for that table to do the transaport (Active)
    2. Create mannual transport request from SE01 and in the object list enter following
    R3TR -- TABI -- <Table Name>
    And do the transaport.
    3. Ask your basis consultant to do the transaport from oracle layer.
    Thanks,

  • In P6 web (8.3) Is there any way to migrate global layouts views from one database to another?

    We have a customer that has global layouts in their dev version of the web. When they want to start their prod version of P6 8.3 web, do the layouts come over with the data migration? Is there any documentation out there?
    Thanks,

    That's in the client or professional. There is not a place to export layouts in the web.

    You should use Import Wizard to transfer the WebI report from one system to another, say, from DEV to PRD, but if you have also distinguish the DEV data source and the PRD data source, you will also have to modify the underlying universe connection after you transfer the report itself.
    If you're on BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 or above, you may also look at the free tool BusinessObjects Life Cycle Management which can 'promote' contents from one system to another.

  • Can I copy my iTunes from one Mac to another to a distant location?

    I have 2 homes one in NYC and the other in upstate NY. I have multiple Macs at both locations all using Snow Leopard and the latest version of iTunes(9). I only have 1 iTunes library I maintain at the upstate location and have to bring my iPod to the NYC location to play my music. Can I not copy my iTunes library to the NYC location using Home Sharing or using some other method? I often forget to bring my iPod and am left without my music.

    I need the settings for
    System (view, font, color,)
    Finder (view, etc)
    iTunes (that include all library, playlists, etc),
    Firefox (Bookmarks, settings & plug-ins),
    Safari (Bookmarks, settings & plug-ins),
    Address Book (contacts)
    Thuderbird (emails accounts, contacts, passwords, etc)
    Stickies (stickies on the dock - i have info on there unsaved)
    Filezilla (FTP infos)
    Would appreciate.
    Thnx.
    All that info is found in your user/library folder, I just did a 60 machine rollout and copied all those settings from user/library, just be forewarned that if you upgrade software those setting will not take on the machine, for example Adobe CS 3,4 will not usable by CS5.  let us know if you need more help.  Also make sure you copy most of your preferences in the user/library/prefences folder.
    Note: If you are using an identical backup with all apps and user settings, you can just copy all folders from user to your new home folder.  Remember that only if the image or backup is identical to your production OS.

  • How do you copy/move the ASU Toolbox task list from one system to another

    We are upgrading from 3.5 to 7.01 and have maintained the the task list in /n/asu/upgrade in our sandbox.   I would like to be able to move the task list to our other systems so I don't have to reenter the tasks again.  I know the base tasks are in an xml file but I don't know which one.
    Does anyone know how to move/copy the tasks from one system to another?

    I agree with Antonio, but since we don't know if the Mail app on the Mini is the same version as the one on your new iMac, I'd err on the side of caution and allow Mail on the new iMac to set up; additionally, I'd prefer to start with a new preference file. In order to make it easier, you could take screenshots of all the account windows on the Mini. You can then use those to enter the info when setting up Mail on the new iMac.
    After Mail is set up, quit Mail. Go to the location outlined by Antonio (Users-Library-Mail) and compare the folders with the folders from the old Mail app; i.e. the new Inbox folder should be empty -> remove that (drag to trash) and replace it with your old Inbox folder (same with Sent, etc). If you have old folders not found in the new location, add them.
    When done, open Mail and your folders and emails should all be there.

  • How can I copy GPS information from one image to another?

    I bought a Canon S100 specifically for its GPs and movie capability.  On a recent vacation, I used the S100 and a Nikon D300.  In cases where images were taken with both cameras in approximately the same place, I would like to copy the GPS information from the S100 CR2 files to the D300 NEF files.  Does anyone know how to do this or if there is any plugins that will do it?

    The added benefit of using GeoSetter to copy the information from one photo to another, is that you can see where every already-tagged photo is on a Google map to make sure the location is actually correct.  Sometimes the camera clock is off a few seconds or minutes and you can easily figure how what offset to use by watching where the existing photos show on the map.
    Using the MS Pro Photo Tools to generate a track from the existing S100 photos and then using that track in GeoSetter to assign the rest, with interpolation enabled, seems like the best course of action if the S100 track information is no longer available.
    When using an external program to Geotag images that are already in LR, to be safe you should first save all the metadata to XMP files in the folder you’re going to tag, then exit LR, then geotag the photos, then restart LR and read information from all the XMP files.
    Another benefit of GeoSetter is that you can assign the locality information to the photos that already have just coordinates in them.

  • How do I copy the style from one control to another?

    I need to programmatically copy the style from one graph to another. I'm currently using the importstyle and export style functions but I'd like to avoid that since: 1) I'm creating >100 of the same graphs in a scrolling window and execution time is a concern, and 2) it makes it harder to redistribute the application, and 3) you shouldn't have to import/export from disk just to copy a graph style.
    I noticed the copy constructor was disabled so you can't just create a new one from the original. I suppose I could iterate through all the styles and transfer them from the master graph to all the copies but is there an easier way to do that? If not, is there some sample code for that?
    I'm using MStudio 7.0 for C
    ++.
    Thanks,
    -Bob

    One way that you could do this would be to create a helper method that configures your graph rather than configuring it at design-time, then use that helper method to apply the settings to the new graphs that you create. However, this would only work if you wanted all graphs to be configured exactly the same way - this would not work if the settings of your master graph are changing at run-time and you want the new graphs to be configured with the current settings of the master graph.
    Another approach is to query each control for IPersistPropertyBag, create an IPropertyBag, pass the IPropertyBag to the master graph's IPersistPropertyBag:ave, then pass the IPropertyBag to the new graph's IPersistPropertyBag::Load implementation. I'm not aware of any implementations of IPropertyBag that are readily available for use in applications, so the tricky part is creating the IPropertyBag. Below is a very simple implementation of IPropertyBag that should be enough to get the job done for this example. First, add this to your stdafx.h:
    #include <atlbase.h>
    CComModule _Module;
    #include <atlcom.h>
    #include <atlcoll.h>
    Here's the simple IPropertyBag implementation:
    class ATL_NO_VTABLE CSimplePropertyBag :
    public CComObjectRootEx<CComSingleThreadModel>,
    public IPropertyBag
    private:
    CAtlMap<CComBSTR, CComVariant> m_propertyMap;
    public:
    BEGIN_COM_MAP(CSimplePropertyBag)
    COM_INTERFACE_ENTRY(IPropertyBag)
    END_COM_MAP()
    STDMETHODIMP Read(LPCOLESTR pszPropName, VARIANT* pVar, IErrorLog* pErrorLog)
    HRESULT hr = E_FAIL;
    if ((pszPropName == NULL) || (pVar == NULL))
    hr = E_POINTER;
    else
    if (SUCCEEDED(::VariantClear(pVar)))
    CComBSTR key = pszPropName;
    CComVariant value;
    if (!m_propertyMap.Lookup(key, value))
    hr = E_INVALIDARG;
    else
    if (SUCCEEDED(::VariantCopy(pVar, &value)))
    hr = S_OK;
    return hr;
    STDMETHODIMP Write(LPCOLESTR pszPropName, VARIANT* pVar)
    HRESULT hr = E_FAIL;
    if ((pszPropName == NULL) || (pVar == NULL))
    hr = E_POINTER;
    else
    m_propertyMap.SetAt(pszPropName, *pVar);
    hr = S_OK;
    return hr;
    Once you have a way to create an implementation of IPropertyBag, you can use IPropertyBag and IPersistPropertyBag to copy the settings from one control to another like this:
    void CopyGraphStyle(CNiGraph& source, CNiGraph& target)
    LPUNKNOWN pSourceUnknown = source.GetControlUnknown();
    LPUNKNOWN pTargetUnknown = target.GetControlUnknown();
    if ((pSourceUnknown != NULL) && (pTargetUnknown != NULL))
    CComQIPtr<IPersistPropertyBag> pSourcePersist(pSourceUnknown);
    CComQIPtr<IPersistPropertyBag> pTargetPersist(pTargetUnknown);
    if ((pSourcePersist != NULL) && (pTargetPersist != NULL))
    CComObject<CSimplePropertyBag>* pPropertyBag = 0;
    CComObject<CSimplePropertyBag>::CreateInstance(&pPropertyBag);
    if (pPropertyBag != NULL)
    CComQIPtr<IPropertyBag> spPropertyBag(pPropertyBag);
    if (spPropertyBag != NULL)
    if (SUCCEEDED(pSourcePersist->Save(spPropertyBag, FALSE, TRUE)))
    pTargetPersist->Load(spPropertyBag, NULL);
    (Note that "CreateInstan ce" above should be CreateInstance - a space gets added for some unknown reason after I click Submit.)
    Then you can use this CopyGraphStyle method to copy the settings of the master graph to the new graph. Hope this helps.

  • 10g express, scheduled copy of table from one db to another

    Hi,
    I don't know much about Oracle and was hoping if someone could shed some light on how we could implement our solution.
    Our scenario is as follows:
    For a new customer we are going to have 35million records per month coming into the database.
    What we had normally been doing in MSSQL, is creating a new table every month and writing the records in here (although we never had 35 million records before).
    The problem is, I want to archive these old monthly tables in order to save space. I don't know enough about the Oracle suite to see if there is already a program that we can schedule every month to move this table from one database to another. I was initially doing it by code, but this ends up taking 3 hours to copy... something we cannot afford.
    Is 35 million records too much to hold in a table? Should we be partitioning this down even more? I don't know where the threshold is before Oracle craps out.
    Or, maybe a better idea is to create a new database and just store new entries in a new database every month... this way we won't need to copy anything. To me, this sounds stupid though as i don't want to have 60 databases kicking around in five years.
    I'm a developer and no DBA, no one here is a DBA. We're trying to evaluate if our application is going to work on a Oracle platform all without knowing anything about it. Please help!
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Kevin, you definately have the right database for 35M records/mth.
    From your post, it sounds like you need to retain the records in a database for 5 years (yes?). I don't know of any size limitation for Oracle outside of the OS. I don't think your solution should be multiple databases unless you have vastly different needs for the database that can not be satisfied with one instance - ie. OLTP vs. BATCH/OLAP...
    I don't fully understand what you are shooting for because it doesn't sound like you are going to save on any space just by moving the data from one database to another, the records will still require a similar amount of space unless compressed on another database. In either case, unless you can't, I would recommend a single database design. If you need high performance querying the data, and you query it by a specified period of time - ie month, I would recommend using enterprise edition with partitioning (seperately licensed). This would allow you to create a partitioned table where you could partition the table by month. As long as you don't create unnecessary global indexes, the performance should be quite similar to querying/inserting/appending into a table just containing 1 months records. Each partition can be placed in its own tablespace/datafile(s).
    If you absolutely must 'transport' the data to another instance (which I would strongly suggest that you should load it there in the first place unless business rules, performance limitations or something else simply don't allow it), you can use 'transportable tablespaces' and simply ftp the entire datafile to another Oracle database and attach it thus avoiding having to reload it. If it's truly historical you can just leave it ReadOnly. If you want to be tricky about it, you could try to make it part of a partitoned table on the new host.
    I hope I've helped just a little bit. If you need additional help, email me directly at LenLopez AT Yahoo DOT com

  • How To Copy Selected Music From One Library to Another?

    What is the best way to copy selected music from one library to another?
    I have a big and growing iTunes library -- 33,000 songs.
    A year ago I copied my library to my daughter's new iMac.  Now, a year later, I'm off to visit her and wonder how best to update her library.  In the past year I have added a number of items to my library and I'm sure she has done the same -- some might be the same but many will be different.
    How do I update her library with the new things I've added in the past year but not wipe out things she had added or duplicate when we each have a song?
    I can load any / all of my stuff on an external HD and take that to plug in to her computer.  Then what?  I want to avoid duplicates and make sure I get stuff like album artwork.
    I'm running iTune 10.4 on an iMac with OS X 10.6.8 -- my daughter will have the same iTunes and OS X once we update her software.
    Any advice would be great.
    Thanks

    If you're sharing the same Apple ID and all your songs are from the iTunes Store, it's easy:
    In iTunes on your computer, go to File->Preferences->Store and check the box next to MUSIC under AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS.
    You should also read this article, the section titled TO DOWNLOAD PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED APPS, BOOKS, MUSIC, OR TV SHOWS TO YOUR COMPUTER:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
    You could also use an rsync utility such as backuplist+ to perform a 2-way sync of the files in your two libraries while your computers are connected via FireWire with one of them in FireWire Target Disk Mode, or from your external hard drive with your daughter's computer and then to yours again. After that, you'll need to use iTunes on each computer to update its library with the new files:
    http://rdutoit.home.comcast.net/~rdutoit/pub/robsoft/pages/backup.html
    This last would also be the preferred method if you have authorized each other's computers for media purchased with each other's Apple IDs (i.e. you are not sharing the same Apple ID), or if you have music from sources other than the iTunes Store. Most likely, though, music from sources other than the iTunes Store would not be legal to copy in this way for this purpose, although there is probably no technical impediment.

  • Is there a way to move multiple Calendar items from one date to another?

    Hello. I have far too many Calendar items every day in my iCal. Until I finally pare them down to a reasonable level, I need to "reschedule" all of my unfinished ToDo items and reminders, to another day, later in the week.
    There doesn't seem to be any "Select All" feature available.
    Is there a way to move multiple Calendar items from one date to another?
    Thanks in advance!

    Still no ideas? Apple, please come up with a fix. Thanks.
