I stupidly deleted the original iOS 8 keyboard on my iPhone 5 when I was trying to get a third party keyboard to work. I restored the phone to the factory default and then restored my most recent backup, hoping the keyboard would not be deleted during the process, but it was. Is there any way to download or re-install the original keyboard?

THey have bought out an update Ios 8.2 perhaps u could try that it may help u unfortunately u cannot go back to Ios 7.1.2 apple wont allow u to i guess hindsight is a good thing u can learn from this and dont be in too much of a hurry to update in the future sit back and wait too see if there are any problems before u update i work on the principle if aint broke then dont touch it...sorry there much u can do other than vent your suggestions to apple support..

I agree with you on this one. If they would just have an option that when you touch none interactive section maybe just the home button appears.
I rarely use that navigation system and the people that I have tested ralley know what to do when it pops up. If the page number came up instead of a slider, I think people would get it. Plus instead of icons have text. Table of content, home, back.

Is there any way to not create the hidden 'dot' files when copying to a USB

I am moving photos to a USB device for use in a digital picture frame. The problem arises that 'dot' files are also created on the USB device and the digital frame chokes on them. I actually have to take the device to a <egad> Windows system to delete all of the 'dot' files so that the photo frame works correctly. So.. in a word, I would like to perform a copy to the USB device and tell the OS to not generate the 'dot' files. Any ideas? Thanks

My iTunes will not install the latest 12.0 update

Okay, I'll start from the beginning.
I wanted to put a load of my own songs onto my iPhone 4s, but it came up with the box "iPhone won't work unless latest update is performed" or something of the sort. So as you do I went to download the latest update which is 12.0 I think, it downloaded fine it was just when it came to the installation that at the very end it failed and came up with an error box saying try doing it manually, although it didn't give me any indication as to what the error actually is. I tried doing it manually and the same thing happened again. So I've tried god knows how many times to resolve this, but nothing I do works, I've tried; Unistalling iTunes and everything that installs with it, restarting my laptop, temporarily uninstalling my anti virus to see if it was blocking me installing iTunes, but no matter what I try nothing will let me update to the latest iTunes so I can sync my phone!! Please help me guys

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Mt Lion will not install on all Mac's. There are some that can run Lion but can not run Mt Lion. You may have one of those.
How are trying to do the install. Need more info on the Mac you have and how and where you got Mt Lion.

if you want to fool around with your device you void warrant and nokia wont touch it should you have issues further down the road you could take it to a nokia care centre and get it reflashed and ask them to install the last version rather than the new one but its always adviseable to have the latest frimware installed for better performance so its up to you from here what to do next

After many hours setting up OS10.10 from he scratch the last step should be installing m Adobe apps again.
trying this I always get the error message that creative cloud does not accept case sensitive file systems and I shall use another drive.
This means I have to set up the whole machine again after formatting without case sensitive but then having copy problems with my NAS?
I cannot belief that Adobe is really demanding this. If so this would show how urgent this market need alternatives and some more competition...

Are you sure you only have Pages 5, because if you migrated from your old System, Pages '09 should be in your Applications/iWork folder.
The plain and simple truth is you are not going to make a silk purse out a Sow's Pages 5.
No matter how hard you try.
I give solutions to Pages 5 where they exist but don't have the pixie dust to make it happen if it doesn't.

The Podcast App is terrible. It can't seem to keep track to what has or has not been listened to, it randomly restarts after pauses. I never had to use the App until this last upgrade and now I'm forced to. I would like to go back to listening to podcasts through the music player. Is that possible?

Any reason to not use MBP's SSD?

Is there any reason to not go with the SSD that comes with a MBP? Seems there isn't much in savings and performance over equivalent (after market) drives. I'm just wondering if it is really worth it...given Apple won't support it.

I have the more expensive variety of MacBook Air, with the small SSD drive. I have to say, I sold my previous MacBook Pro because it was too bulky to carry around all day and use in planes/trains, but I wasn't ready for the tremendous increase in startup speed I got in an otherwise weaker machine! The MBP was from last June, the 17", 2.8 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, and NVIDIA 9600M of VRAM.
Well, the allegedly weaker MacBook Air beats that MBP hands down for read times, i.e. at startup and firing up apps. All of this because of the SSD (vs. the pathetic stock 5,400 RPM HDD in the MBP).
This was a revelation, and I will, from now on, shell out the money to never again use a spin-drive in a laptop. No more sluggishness.

Just thought i'd mention that you can do this much more easily by using a program like mp3Tag (free) where you can batch rename file tags. In other words, you can select all your files and change all the albums to blank or whatever you want in one process. take care
